I have a NL2X and I use it all the time. Sometimes I search for others using it too, for soundbanks and stuff. Excellent video/demonstration. Love the sound of that little red box
May i ask if you have applied any gain on your interfaces inputs? i see that you use the volume knob almost at 12:00. I own a nord lead2x and i always have the volume maxxed out..
Yes I do apply some gain at my mixer or audio interface. I aim to have the synthesizer at about 50 percent volume and the mixer/audio interface at 50 percent as well. I don't like to have the volume at more than about 70 percent on either the synth or mixer/audio interface because I don't want to introduce any distortion. I hope this helps; let me know if you have any more questions (hopefully I can answer them to some degree). Enjoy!
I have the keyboard version. I have connect it to a YAMAHA REV-500 reverb and to a SYMETRIX 606 delay, chorus & flanger etc, both effects are 20bit and they match perfectly with the NORD 2 sound ! It's a very good synth, but 100% analog synths are much much better.
Nice, sounds fat as well...got the nord 1 but find it a bit limiting with its 4 poly and 40 preset saves option...need a rack2. How many presets can you store? !
I agree, I think it sounds awesome. They call it virtual-analog, it definitely has some analog fatness 👍 I think it’s got about 400 “user” presets available, but with the memory card it’ll store like 400 more sounds, and 100 performances, which technically gives you another 400 presets. So in total it holds like 1200 user sounds!
@@ultrajayme That's fine. Analog polys are pretty much unusable for me but I'm sure they fit fine for others. They sound corny and limp, cliched to me.. Generic warmth that doesn't cut through.
@zap7759 I have analog and digital so I'm absolutely not arguing your point. But from the techno gods of Detroit both OG and new, you'd be hard pressed to find anything digital in any of their studios and they always find the sweet spot 😄 Having said that: I make jungle and drum n bass and my philosophy is whatever sounds good and fits the purpose is what I like. I've got a JV2080 and a Hydrasynth which are extremely digital so I completely understand where you're coming from brutha!
@@ultrajayme Nice. For hardware polys I go Nord Lead 4, Rack 2X, E-mu Audity 2000 & Proteus 2500, Waldorf Blofeld, Ensoniq Mirage. I don't care what people use honestly. It took a lot of years and money to find what actually sounds good to me. Now all people have to do is buy a Pro-800 to shatter the poly analog mystique and move on.
Hey Greg. I got it on eBay a few years ago. Look for "nixie clock" on ebay or Amazon, and you should be able to find it, or something very similar. Also, I got it for around $55 if I remember right.. aim for near that price as some people try to sell them for a lot more.
That first patch reminded me of the crystal method. Opening sound on Coming Back from Vegas.
Fantastic sounding synth and great demo, thanks!
I agree, I love the Nord Lead synths! Thank you 👍
Love everything ! The sound, your visual also ! Great man

Freakin dream sound!

@@rickgut2004 cool! Thanks for the reply! Enjoy this imcredible synth!
First sound immediately reminded me of The Crystal Method.
Hi there! May I ask what effect processor are you using here? Thank you! 🫡
Damn, this sounds good!
Amazing sounds, i wonder how it compare to Nord Lead 4 or 1A
crispy lovel
MELODIES!!! when you want to look for a synth to buy to play melodies its hard to find a vid! but great vid anyway

thank you. what are the patches 1A1 , 1B0 ? - my have only 99 pathes. 01 - 99 plus percussion patches
Not sure.. I’ll take a look and let you know.
Sounds good to me
Hi, i have the nord lead 2 too. Are this stock presets from the card? Best, d
No these aren't the factory presets. I usually just play with the synth for a while and save presets as I bump into them :)
high quality hiss in the background though
Better than real analog.
My favorite synth so far! 🤙
So I love VA and analog but I don't think I agree with that haha

Nice demo! How did get it stereo? Do you copy the patch in both A and B out ? and set A and B to the same midi chanel?
Thank you! The Nord Lead 2 is a stereo synth. I just connected the two main outputs to a mixer (as far as I remember) 👍
Where oh where did you get that clock good sir?
