Every TOOR I own has some sort of flaw, not a huge flaw that effects use, but usually it’s something like exactly you pointed out with this knife. On my Field 2.0 where the bevel starts from the flat sides, it’s a lot thicker on 1 side that the other, which like I said doesn’t hurt anything, but it’s also something I noticed.
@@Bladeunion5716 agreed, I have a Medford M48 that’s brand new that the lock disengages when using. To the point that if you put any back pressure on the blade it “ Guillotines” shut. I need to send it in, but tbh I don’t wanna wait 6 months to get it back.
@ghostmaloneedc4254 stuff like that is irritating. I've moved almost exclusively over to fixed blades and don't have to deal with locks and what not anymore but still I remember when I did.
Very nice vid. I have the gold/yellow version I’m impressed they did a hell of a job with this blade. Just purchased a slim ulti clip I think it’ll be great. I’d call this a very ultimate EDC. Not a batoning knife or camp knife.
Awesome you really want to pick up this knife how is it holding up after all these months? Honestly I was nervous about that anodized aluminum handles. I hate how the color usually starts to wear off is that the case on this particular knife? It’s just so expensive and I wouldn’t want the color to disappear after handling the knife. I own a serpent, but it has the G10 handles. I would love to hear your thoughts or opinion! Appreciate it so much
It has been holding up great to be honest. It's a hard anodizing similar to what you would find an an ar15 receiver. I would get it and not think twice.
Nice looking edge what are you sharpening with ? By the way I’m new to your channel but I’m really liking your taste in knives Have you considered the hfb crow scout I see you did the jr
So typically I'm using the wicked edge gen 3 pro for reprofiling. I have looked at the crow scout and would love to get one for the channel at some point. Thanks for the sub I appreciate you!
Holy crap, good eye spotting the difference in scale thickness. Tbh though, and idk if this applies to anyone else, I like that difference in thickness. I feel like it pushes the blade closer to my fingers giving me a bit better indexing of where exactly the blade is. Any time I wrap a knife in paracord I thread the line back through the palm side of the handle to achieve a similar effect. Having said all that, I don’t have this exact knife and idk if the difference in scale thickness would be that noticeable.. but theoretically that seems like it would be a convenient defect if it were my knife 😅 Edit: Idk why I didn’t think to mention this before, but a leatherman blade has that same effect for me and tbh might be the reason I prefer the blade to be further from my palm and closer to my fingers 😂
I can understand having the slight offset. In all honesty it doesn't make a bit a difference to me as I use this one and can't really tell a difference, I know some guys would be upset about it though so I have to point it out. Thanks for watching.
Do you offer blade sharpening services; and if not, can you suggest someone? I just ordered this knife and I want an edge like yours. After ruining my Mora, I have no stomach for trying to reconfigure an edge.
Unfortunately I don't offer sharpening at this time. It's very time consuming and I wouldn't be able to charge enough for the time it takes to reprofile correctly by hand. I would go on blade forums and ask around I'm sure you will find someone qualified. Best of luck and thanks for watching!
I guess it depends on your hands. I work with my hands for a living and have calluses so I don't mind the jimping at all but some may find it a bit uncomfortable. Thanks for watching.
Look at those blade scales! Awesome brother.
They are sweet!

This has been the case on every toor I've owned as well. The same can be said of even more expensive blades though.

Great review. I think the TOOR CPM-154 is really great stuff! That has to be a good knife. I love the collaboration. Good luck with it!
Thanks for the comment and for watching! It's a sweet blade for sure!
My wife purchased this AWESOME knife for me. It is my favorite, and my new EDC . It is perfect
We don't care where you worked at, we don't care about your detail. How much is it it is worth buying?
Beautiful grind and stippling. Love the belly of the knife, not sure if handle fit my girly hands so good. Great video! 🎉
