    Just adding to the lists ~ My Blades: Best EVER - Spartan Blades Elite Grade Horkos in CPM S45VN steel..!!! I’ve had quiet a few Fixed Blades over my 62-years & while some beat the Horkos in one way or another, none match it In it’s totality. Once you pick one up, you KNOW within a few seconds that the 100% US Designed, Crafted & Complete US Materials Used Blade is Spectacular, …the Balance, the SCARY Razor Sharp Edge (the ONLY other SCARY Sharp Edged Blades are the MicroTechs I own), it’s Sheath w/ it’s Felt-Lined interior [just like Winkler Knives does] to protect it’s finish, all come together to create THE Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife EVER, bar none. Additionally, I’ve had some great knives [e.g., Winkler II S.A.R. in 80CrV2 steel is tied for 2nd Place w/ my Busse TGULB in INFI proprietary steel.., those other Edged Weapons fall below (not bragging, but giving whomever reads this the chance to choose their next Blade based on hard fought experience…
    4. Spyderco Warrior {Discontinued for YEARS & V-E-R-Y HARD TO FIND} in H-1 steel, let alone a Vintage Pristine Condition one ~ which I DID on eBay for $425.00..!🇺🇸
    3. Spyderco Jumpmaster 2 in H-1 steel, which 100% RUSTPROOF [yet it doesn’t hold an edge at all]..!!🇺🇸
    4. TOPS OPERATOR 7 Blackout Fixed Blade knife in 1075 steel🇺🇸
    5. RMJ/CRKT Kangee Tomahawk in SK5 Carbon Steel w/ Kydex Sheath🇺🇸
    6. Skallywag Tactical Military Guardian Serrated Cryogenic Treated D2 Stainless Steel w/ a Custom-Made to Fit THIS Blade PERFECTLY “Azwelke Sheath” Dagger. ☠️😈🇺🇸
    7. MicroTech SOCOM ALPHA M390 steel Fixed Blade, which cut me in the 1st week of owning it - they say..;
    8. MicroTech Arbiter 204P steel Serrated Version..;
    9. Busse TGULB INFI Steel Nuclear Meltdown Competition Finish w/ AZWELKE Kydex Sheath…;
    10.
    11. RMJ Eagle Talon Tomahawk in 80CrV2 Steel Superb Hawk w/ RAZOR Edged Head - and a Reverse SPIKE that’ll pierce ANYTHING…🇺🇸

    After spending a fortune and going thru a ton of knives and sheaths Iv found that winkler is the best edc knife for me. the sheath you get with it for the price is amazing compared to the competition. Seems like alot of companies can make a decent knife and completely forget about the sheath and when it comes to fixed blades if the sheath is garbage it wont get carried

    • @Bladeunion5716
      @Bladeunion5716  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely agree. Winkler makes a damn good knife and a sheath to match! Only downside for me is I wish Winkler would offer more steel choices other than that they are perfect. Don't get me wrong 80crv2 is excellent but I live and work in wet environments and the carbon steel requires more upkeep is all.

      @@Bladeunion5716 I read a magazine article where they were interviewing an Army Special Forces NCO from the Vietnam war era. He said he carried a Randall made of O1 carbon steel for two years in Vietnam.
      He said he had a small piece of cloth damp with oil that he carried in his pocket in a plastic bag. Twice a day, he would unsheath his Randall and wipe the blade down with the oil cloth. He had NO problems with corrosion or rust on his Randall in two years of carrying it in a leather sheath in the tropical humidity and monsoons of Vietnam.
      Moral of the story: Keeping a carbon steel blade from developing corrosion or rust is not nearly as hard as many seem to think it is. An oily cloth, a quick wipe a couple of times a day and your knife is good to go.
      A Winkler has the Caswell finish, so the only places that would need a wipedown would be the sharpened edge and any places where the coating had been scraped or worn off.
      I'n not sure, but I think this is the finish that Winkler uses: th-cam.com/video/1DlPwq4zlOw/w-d-xo.html

    • @Bladeunion5716
      @Bladeunion5716  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @allan4800 back then they didn't have super steels and carbon was the only choice for a hard use blade. Don't get me wrong if you take care of a carbon blade it will serve you well but some of the modern steels can do the same thing without the maintenance. I still love my winklers and I keep a little wicked wax on them they haven't had any issues. I wouldn't use it for a dive knife though!

    They are so cool. I like the Winkler knife out them the most. I’d don’t ever wish to be in a position where I’d have to use violence. I would own it to carry more for camping and that sort. I just can’t stand the thought of hurting another person. It’s even hard for me to watch contact sports.

    very reliable top 5 edc blades. i like that you carry medium sized fixed blades and not folders or mini fixed blades. I also carry medium sized fixed blades either my busse, dark angel steel will, or my favorite carothers utility fighter.

    • @Bladeunion5716
      @Bladeunion5716  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching. For the things I do on a daily and my area of operations, the mid size fixed blade is the answer. It's the perfect balance of capability and ease of carry. I want to get a utility fighter and the basic field knife but they have been unobtainable. Someday you will see a review on the channel 👍🏻

    Dude, Love seeing EDC'd fixed blades!! Almost roasted you because they look too clean and not used until i watched the whole video. Thanks for sharing!! Personally I carry a hard use edc fixed and a super hard RC slicey folder. Currently my favorites are a Winkler DP crusher and one of my PM2s in 15v or maxamet. Also been struggling to get a CPK to put in my edc rotation.. *sigh

    • @Bladeunion5716
      @Bladeunion5716  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes for me a fixed blade for edc is the answer. I'm the type that will clean my blade before it ever goes back in the sheath after using it so they do tend to look pretty good especially with the rotation. Thanks for watching!

    • @Bladeunion5716

      When you own many knives the wear gets spread out. That said most of the blades I use don't have coated blades and are made of steel that doesn't show wear easily. Thanks for watching.
