    New subscriber from Kennett, Missouri here in the Bootheel. We used to be almost all cotton land here, but sadly the crops around here have only been soybeans & rice for this fall & last year! I heard cotton just doesn't turn a profit here anymore! I worked in Cotton Gins & drove school buses from 1978 - 2004 before Diabetes put me down hard! I'm enjoying your cotton content for sure! Module builders got thin here the last few years. The module pickers were taking over!

    Just found this channel. Love it!!!!! I use to have old 80s Bush Hog builder, tuned the pump up, it could lift the back tires of a 4630 off the ground!!!! Was a hoss!!!! Had a brand new Speed King in 2001. Former custom harvester Texas , New Mexico and Oklahoma. Don't forget about the John Blue module builders lol.

      @@FieldRows CMC was another manufacturer. They made industrial pumps and sprayers I think even fire fighting equipment. Any way they made builders in the late 80s early 90s. Red with White stripes. This is really testing my memory........ This was back when they had PTO shafts and the pump was fixed to the hydraulic tank. Heard stories of the hired hands leaving the PTO going and turning corners. Old u joint give out!!!!! I always had the Prince pumps mounted on the PTO shaft.

    Hi, my memories of cotton when I was about 5, picking into close pin sack and pouring it into my cousin cotton sack, also diving off the side of the wagon into the fresh cotton-I still remember the smell so fresh, then my first cold drink my uncle bought for me at the cotton gin it was like a new world had opened up I think it was a Grapico, I'm originally from Enterprise, AL, Now in Mobile Al 61 and enjoying the Memories, My Dad worked for Session's Peanut ,When I was 16 and 17, I tagged wagons and ran the dryers at the Fairview peanut buying point close to Sampson Al.......enjoy your videos.....stevie

    That TWO SECONDS of the '55 was the star of the show (sorry!) ... As important as a cotton module builder is, I'd say you need a new one! I know ... easy for me to say, especially since this one is sorta still working ...

  • @garyhunter6030

    😁Have you ever got the weather to co-operate for farming. Dry when you need dry weather, rain when you need it? back in the early 60's I worked in a cotton gin. Back then I moved 500 pound bales around with a hook and lots of muscles. And it was dang hot in Texas. They used Mexican migrant workers to pick the cotton. Most farmers could not afford the two row picker. Then co-ops bought pickers and would charge the farmers to pick the cotton for them. So ended the migrant cotton pickers.

    Harrell makes a builder???? Y’all have the short ones. There’s several KBH in our area, but mostly it’s bush hog, speed king, they are automated, super nice builders, and the local favorite is a Big 12. They don’t make them any more but they are stout built. Ours have cabs!

    Don't switch the Deere return line t's to the metal t's they suck we actually took the metal ones off our 4240s and put the rubber ones on. The metal t's use a square cut o rings and they always leak more than the rubber ones. We changed over to the rubber ones and change them every other oil change and no leaks for the last 10 years.

    • @FieldRows
      @FieldRows  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good to know, good idea changing at every oil change.

    • @mrbrown3462
      @mrbrown3462 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had many problems with leaks from the metal t's and the o rings. Not sure what you pay for your rubber t's but we get them for around 5-6 bucks a piece we just change them every other oil change if we find one leaking at that time we throw it out if not it goes in a bucket we find them handy for other things sometimes.
