I never understand the "you're just scared I would treat you right" line. Like why would that make them not want to date you? If anything, if they thought you'd treat them right, they'd be accepting your advances.
Yeah, I've been trying to work that one out too. Maybe they think women are scared of a good relationship the same way people can be scared of success; it creates a stressful scenario where you have to remain at the top of your game or risk failure, which is hard to deal with and impacts self-esteem. That's all I've got. I wish I could look into the minds and see their logic.

First, start off with the type of person they are. Typically not good in social situations, because they're typically intrested in niche interests/hobies, or at least ones that aren't done in a social settings. Humans tend to have a pack mentality - anyone who has intetrsts/hobbies that are too far outside what's considered "normal" , tend to be ostracized - at best, especially during their school years. Over time, some of them realize that maybe a balance would be a good idea, or focus on some socially relevant hobby or interest, and eventually expand their social circle, meet women, and things proceed normally. These guys however, choose to react by embracing their intelligence, and developing a superiority complex just to protect their own ego, wallowing in resentment over everyone who actually put in the time/effort to be social. Especially those who can approach women with (at least the appearance of) confidence and ask them out, get girlfriends and have sex. And of course, they see and read about all the women who get cheated on, dumped, or abused - and he draws a parallel between guys who have that assertiveness and guys treating women badly. So he develops a strategy, that maybe if he can play the part of a nice guy, then maybe they found a "back door" into getting a relationship. However, the resentment and desperation is too strong to keep up the illusion, and their lack of social skills are too absent to understand social cues. So when they're turned down, they automatically assume it's not because they're being creepy, or being socially inept, it's because women only like assholes! Of course all that self imposed superiority and resentment, really just makes them an even bigger asshole, especially when their fragile ego gets damaged. Forcing them to retaliate, and take their anger out on the woman. The reality is, a woman is nothing but a tool for them to prove they're not sad and pathetic. Such a relationship is not likely to contain physical abuse, and he's probably not going to cheat on a woman, but he's likely going to be super controlling, and extremely mentally and emotionally abusive.

He harassed me for weeks, kept on making new accounts when I blocked his old ones and the mods on the site did nothing. I ended up leaving the site and was scared for months he’d somehow find me;; I can laugh about it now, but i find it sad that people like this still exist;;
That similar to an article I read. It was a furry convention and the guy had stalked this girl so much, he has tufts of fur from her costume, at least he claimed it was her fur. Eventually mods banned him and her friends made sure to keep her surrounded at other conventions. I think she was maybe 14 or 15 and he was in his early 20s. What was sick was that he would guilt her (they used to be friends) because he is a little slow and he'd tell her she can't deny him because he's slow and it would be discrimination. It was messed up.

A narcissist can change, but it takes an earth-shattering event and their environment has to completely change for that to happen. How do they become narcissists? It's nurtured by a narcissistic parent and the unhealthy cycle keeps repeating.

I never understand the "you're just scared I would treat you right" line. Like why would that make them not want to date you? If anything, if they thought you'd treat them right, they'd be accepting your advances.
Yeah, I've been trying to work that one out too. Maybe they think women are scared of a good relationship the same way people can be scared of success; it creates a stressful scenario where you have to remain at the top of your game or risk failure, which is hard to deal with and impacts self-esteem. That's all I've got. I wish I could look into the minds and see their logic.
My gf of almost 8 years had a few abusive relationships and as a result shes generally skittish when she screws up or something like that, and me being nice or not freaking out scares her for some reason, probably a subconscious "calm before the storm" assumption ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
First, start off with the type of person they are. Typically not good in social situations, because they're typically intrested in niche interests/hobies, or at least ones that aren't done in a social settings.
Humans tend to have a pack mentality - anyone who has intetrsts/hobbies that are too far outside what's considered "normal" , tend to be ostracized - at best, especially during their school years.
Over time, some of them realize that maybe a balance would be a good idea, or focus on some socially relevant hobby or interest, and eventually expand their social circle, meet women, and things proceed normally.
These guys however, choose to react by embracing their intelligence, and developing a superiority complex just to protect their own ego, wallowing in resentment over everyone who actually put in the time/effort to be social. Especially those who can approach women with (at least the appearance of) confidence and ask them out, get girlfriends and have sex.
And of course, they see and read about all the women who get cheated on, dumped, or abused - and he draws a parallel between guys who have that assertiveness and guys treating women badly.
So he develops a strategy, that maybe if he can play the part of a nice guy, then maybe they found a "back door" into getting a relationship. However, the resentment and desperation is too strong to keep up the illusion, and their lack of social skills are too absent to understand social cues.
So when they're turned down, they automatically assume it's not because they're being creepy, or being socially inept, it's because women only like assholes!
Of course all that self imposed superiority and resentment, really just makes them an even bigger asshole, especially when their fragile ego gets damaged. Forcing them to retaliate, and take their anger out on the woman.
The reality is, a woman is nothing but a tool for them to prove they're not sad and pathetic. Such a relationship is not likely to contain physical abuse, and he's probably not going to cheat on a woman, but he's likely going to be super controlling, and extremely mentally and emotionally abusive.
It's similar to the nice girl's logic that all men hate loyalty.

I was like 12 when some dude like that messaged me. It was on some forum that organised conventions and he saw that I was going to go to one. He kept trying to pressure me, a literal child, to send him pictures and got mad when I told him I wouldn’t, saying shit like “you’re gonna show your face at that con but won’t send me a pic?”. He harassed me for weeks, kept on making new accounts when I blocked his old ones and the mods on the site did nothing. I ended up leaving the site and was scared for months he’d somehow find me;; I can laugh about it now, but i find it sad that people like this still exist;;
That similar to an article I read. It was a furry convention and the guy had stalked this girl so much, he has tufts of fur from her costume, at least he claimed it was her fur. Eventually mods banned him and her friends made sure to keep her surrounded at other conventions. I think she was maybe 14 or 15 and he was in his early 20s. What was sick was that he would guilt her (they used to be friends) because he is a little slow and he'd tell her she can't deny him because he's slow and it would be discrimination. It was messed up.

It blows me away that these guys legitimately think they have power/control/ownership/whatever you want to call it, over women’s bodies, how do they become so delusional. And to treat women so horribly and think it’s justified by saying they’re really a nice guy... smh
In one word? Narcissists.
Overly grandiose sense of self, extremely entitled, complete lack of empathy. Transparency is non-existent unless it's to puff up their ego and almost every word that they say is a lie. Also serial cheating and abusive behavior tend to show up if you find yourself in a relationship with them.
Straight up, they're bad news, but some can be absolutely charming and you won't know until those tendencies start to show up in your relationship. How do I know? I used to be one. A narcissist can change, but it takes an earth-shattering event and their environment has to completely change for that to happen.
How do they become narcissists? It's nurtured by a narcissistic parent and the unhealthy cycle keeps repeating.

I seriously doubt most of these guys are even remotely close to being narcissistic, on the contrary, they are extremely insecure and that's why they act like that. The most obvious ones are the ones replying with a boring, self-pitying rant about how they're not "as good as tall assholes", those ones are pathetic, and I personally don't see narcissists as pathetic.
