I hate the "its always us" crap. Katt spoke on people who spoke about him. Mo spoke on people who tried to ruin her. When it comes to people taking accountability, sometimes you have to turn the light on to make the roaches scatter. The truth needs to be told because the perpetrators aint telling it. My take is that just because a conversation goes viral, it doesn’t mean that person will benefit from said conversation. Sure everyone has their truth, but you also have to take into consideration of the motivation that person is using their truth to accomplish. Not everyone will all of a sudden become relevant, or ill-relevant and that’s because the public will decide whether that person is telling their truth, or talking trash. Shannon Sharps show could be an outlet for some people to have that sit down and talk about things that may need to be discussed, but the show should not be used as a tool to trash each other for entertainment purposes. No one wants to see that long term, it begins to take on the notion that it’s all about viewership, and getting the most likes which in most cases i just don’t want to add to. Hopefully this won’t get so big that it burns out just as quick as it’s begun to take flight.

These interviews were necessary for our betterment, especially Mo'Nique's interview. She spoke truth, explained how it could be made right and at no point said that no one should have what they have or is not talented at what they do. She spoke love to and about everyone and explained ways that everyone could be happy. I truly felt like all she said came from a place of love and a desire for betterment for our, and likely all, people.
Deon is absolutely right, also. There are plenty of interview platforms for comments and rebuttals. I know I don't want to watch a special or movie to see someone speak ill about someone else I WANT TO SEE & HEAR JOKES. And that's where I say Mike Epps has the best Idea. He said "Let's do another Friday. Put all the comics (new and legends) in it and let them do they're thing. May the best comic win." The 1st Friday movie was largely adlibbed with the comics being themselves. It only really providing light writing and situational direction.
As for Oprah and Tyler Perry they just need to apologize and make it right. I have no doubt they'll still have "F-You Money" and will still have a large fanbase that'll love them. Regardless, we need to take everything that happened and will happen and Be Better by Doing Better.

Man this has been a good interview. Deon Cole has finally said what I have always thought about the Katt Williams interview. He went on Shannon Sharpe's podcast because his shows wasn't doing the numbers he thought it should have been. I saw a a person who is bitter that his career has not gone the way he thought it should been. Now the interview with Mo'Nique I believe that she has but an unrealistic expectation on her career after she won the Oscar. She said it in the interview "I am offer only. I don't audition for parts." The Oscar has gone to her head. She is not the star she think she is. When Tyler Perry says, "I will talk to Mo'Nique but not with her husband." That should tell you something right there. The rumor is she is difficult to work with. Take a look at why they are saying that. More than likely its your husband that is causing this.

The reason why people are tuning in more is because they’re getting something authentic and real. Some of it you can take with a grain of salt as far as a truth but you can see and feel that these people are really standing on what they believe and they have some levels of receipts on what they’re speaking on they’re not doing the media trained answers. I have immense respect for Tyler, Oprah, Kevin, Steve,, and the others who have maintained their class and dignity by not responding to those who are only interested in making money. These legends have nothing to prove and they don't need to stoop down to their level. They are in a league of their own and will always be admired and respected by people of all races. Of course, not everyone will love them, but they will forever be remembered for their greatness.

It feels like these celebrities sharing their stories and sharing their truths have decided to pull the curtains back and just be real. Knowing the industry is shady, whether something shady has been done to them or not, theyre just letting ppl know the real. I personally appreciate it. SOME of these celebrities use their platforms and present themselves as these great people who are just extremely blessed just because of their "hard work," when in reality some have crapped on others, betrayed others, did some shady, evil shih, etc, to others, behind the scene to get on that level. And then some of them try to influence the public and tell us how to think and live our lives, like they can give such great advice when their character is actually tainted and their whole image is a lie.
I think its great. Theyre a blessing to people who may have a dream and want to get into the entertainment industry. They now know how shady it can potentially be and you have to be cautious and aware. Theyre not hurting each other. Theyre helping ppl not in the know. Whoever has a problem with the truth coming out, they need to look at themselves and treat each other better and let everybody eat. Stop shading each other.

Katt was about to do his next 100 city tour. You heard him say he does his own setting up, advertising, etc. for his shows. He actually heard other comedians lying on him on that very show with no rebuttal, so he went on the show and did his own interview. Understand that it is at 68,000,000+ views because it’s KATT WILLIAMS. And like Monique said, she’s going to say it as loud and as many times as it takes for everybody to hear it and take some accountability. These BLACK people have literally cost Katt and Monique and their children money over the years that can’t be recouped. Y’all keep acting like this was a comedy set and not long in-depth interviews where these people come on for three hours and talk about their whole lives and their truth. Other races don’t have anything to do with this. It is the specific people whom these people felt personally did them wrong. There is video and public court records backing up everything Katt said, including getting custody of 9 kids not his own from the system. How did he get approved for that on drugs, criminal activity etc? You heard Tyler Perry on tape admitting he was sorry for lying on Monique and costing her jobs, and that he was going to publicly correct it. Y’all response wasn’t “she was telling the truth”. Y’all jumped over the harm done to “why did she tape it, was that legal?”. That’s a problem. I guess truth and accountability for being lied on doesn’t matter. Guess it’s about who you like. If you are neutral shut up and don’t talk about it on social interviews. Nobody had anything to say about others doing those interviews with no truth checking about what was being said by them until Katt broke the internet. Don’t hate the player or the content. I saw Katt in Buffalo, NY a few months ago. He had about five or six comedians come on first, and a singer. All of that lasted about 2 hours, and then he came on for about 45 minutes, and he wasn't as funny as I thought he would be. We were also surprised that the arena wasn't sold out. I was very disappointed.
