Dude this is what I do to feed the bass I have inside I just grab net and get food from creek on farm. Trying to grow one fast inside cuz we have that NY winter but keep going bro this is awesome
Take milk crates(black hexagon crates) and tie weights to keep it on the bottom so the minnows have more structure and bass can’t get them but beautiful pond
I try to get them acclimated as best I can but I find my bigger issue is lack of oxygen in the bag. I find I lose more minnows from oxygen loss rather than temp change, so I try to get them into the pond fairly quickly.
I did originally but I'm not sure if they've done well in the pond. The bottom is very sandy with few rocks. Haven't seen any since I first put them in.
@kylewalling5432 yes, I haven't had much problem in 3 years now. I'd get an aerator, but other than that, you should be fine. Maybe put less fish in at the start as you can always add more later.
Nice video
Can't wait for bass stocking

Thanks, I've been loading up minnows in the pond this past summer.

Good video
Thanks, appreciate it.
Cool video, amazing and satisfying watching the minnows being released into the pond 👍🏽
you need to let your bags of minnows lay in the pond to equalize the temp exactly to prevent shock. After 30 mins or so, release them. Less shock.

Add some concrete blocks or a few old tires. Add crayfish and some water plants
Good job and good video!!!.
Are you going to put any aeration in your pond?.Winter kill happens without aeration
Thanks and Yes, I added a solar aerator this summer. Got a video on that coming.
I've always used dry dog food to catch minnows
Thanks, I'll try that.
How is your pond so clear
I've been having good luck with an aerator and some pond dye. th-cam.com/video/Or9PzM0M57g/w-d-xo.html
That looks like a newt
Are you going to add some crawfish?

How deep is your pond?
It's only about 7 feet. It's all sand, so it was hard to get it dug super deep.
@@ryanhoelke Yeah, I had the exact same issue. My pond can fluctuate between 8 to 14 feet. Do the fish do fine in 7 feet? I'm about to get some.
