The finger ruins are definitely G.R.R.M's work. If it were Miyazaki's, they would be feet ruins. The multi-floored specimen storehouse/library on the other hand is def. something Miyazaki worked on personally.

GRRM loves dune so much he's adopted many concepts from it ...
    The culling of the wyrms
    Gods in the sand.
    The golden path.
Arakis is a desert planet bc it's a golden planet .
But it's much more obvious if you look at a game of thrones and how it follows dune beat for beat.
The king/emperor goes to winter fell/ Caladan to ask Ned stark/ duke Leto to help him with his kingdom.
There is a boy thrust forward that wants revenge for his father
    And it's his downfall
There is prophecy and a bridge baby or promised king.
Jon snow is Targaryen and stark
Paul attreides is attreides and Harkonnen
The bridge baby unites the kingdom
With the first bridge baby being baldur the golden boy

@@JackisaMimic absolutely sir, I wouldn't have shared this much I didn't find a kindred spirit that is obsessed/compelled ...wait , is Miquella around???
I love Elden ring as it's a story of how power corrupts
But also a ragnorak and genesis story.
I like your theory that radagon is a mimic but I think mimicry is wholly symbolic of how a psyche can fracture.
How someone can become someone else completely
As Marika is the in old terms the rebis and a symbol of the virtruvian man.
Marika is the circle , the spiritual/soul side and radagon is the square , the physical / or nature / the beast
This is why there is circular patters behind her and square ones behind radagon
      The fracture is also symbolic
As a being needs to divest themselves of their physical body and love to become a god
When you lose your love then what's left???
Ego and ambition.. in this you believe yourself to be a god.
I also believe that Marikas journey is wholly ironic
As her quest for power turns into a vessel, a Leal hound to the golden order.
It's actually losing godwyn that snaps her back to herself.
And brings her to the understanding that she's become a vessel or tool of the greater will.
Bc she can no longer impact the world physically bc she is a spiritual being she needs radagon to shatter the Elden ring.
There is exact dialogue that suggests that he does this , and it's in the beginning cutscene.
What's more that everyone in the lands between are children of Marika .
Through erdtree burial everyone is reborn w the shaman ability for their flesh to meld.
This makes everything from grafting to moving a soul to sellen moving from body to body.
It was thought that the carians were never mixed with Marikas children but renalla and radagon changed this.
Also, the nox and shaman are linked.
The lands do bare visages of former ages but the lands between is not much different then saying "middle earth" or "Midgard"
There is obviously a lot of ragnorak
Which is a story of the beginning and then end

    • @Chessheromusic
      @Chessheromusic 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@positivecontacts obviously, I see a lot of direct parrellels
Gold has always been an ancient power that is very much a mystery to us.
Why did the ancient Sumerians burry their dead with gold ???
We see that as a waste.
Gold must be valuable as we "mankind have always valued it" but why???
Being the softest and most useless of all metals - why is it , the end goal of alchemy and the philosophers stone???
Our ancestors had tech and knowledge we no longer have
So gold is still a mystery of the gods
Asgard is portrayed as a golden city
There's a lot of historical record of gold being important

The item description is describing the Finger Mimic as a mushroom, not the Finger’s themselves. It’s a mushroom that’s mimicking the Fingers, besides the word “Mimic” I’m not seeing the connection here.
I’m not saying that the Fingers AREN’T fungal in nature, nor that your theory on Mimic’s in the game is wrong because I’m fully behind Radagon being a Mimic (or Nox, but that’s going into my own mad off the wall idea that the Nox are all artificial), I’m just not seeing the specific connection to your theory here.
I think the biggest wtf is this moment we should really be getting from this description is that people can become fingers. That “stillborn” line is very evocative as well, reminding me of the stillbirth of brains in Bloodborne, but I don’t think there’s much to that.
    Yet.
(Edit - I take that comment about the stillborn bit back. If people can become Two Fingers, then some people who are seeing that happen would probably think that the process caused their brains to be “stillborn” as they can’t speak anymore and they just wiggle about and have to have a translator. Christ this game just keeps going, huh)

Do you think the Shadow Lands and the Lands Between "proper" are overlapping and the Shadow lands are an alternate dimension?
They're not, right? If anything, the shadow lands would slot into the middle of the map where there's sea. They've been "physically seperated from the lands between" as said by Miyazaki.
And the Tower of suppression / The whole of the Land of Shadow is said to be the center of the Lands Between.
So nothing is "on top of" anything else between the two maps.
Edit: It's definitily referring to the whole Land as the center of the L.B.

In this case, the "mimic" concept of the fingers could be more related with the actual duplication/reproduction of fungi in the real world, in my opnion. To me it feels more like an outer lifeform invansion.
Maybe the Nox got those concepts/blueprints and develop their own based on those types of fungi.

Commander Gaius is a known albinauric. Grew up with radahn. Trained together in sorcery. Im pretty sure radagon was the eternal cities successful attempt at creating a lord. None of radagons kids have working legs. Malenia has prosthetics, radahn always rides his horse, miquella is always carried (and is the savior of albinaurics), rykard was eaten by a snake we never see his legs, ranni discarded her body for the doll. Rennala uses the amber egg giving by radagon to turn larval tears into legless children, and used celestial dew at the church of vows.
Lots of copy of a copy shit going on with the constant rebirth. Demi human queen marigga. Misbegotten with radagons sword. Misbegotten on the way to st Trina using miquella spells. Putrescence in the fissure looks like silver tears. Etc.

Something I found really interesting about the Finger Ruins was when I looked at the map I noticed that the region not only looks like a finger printer but looks almost exactly like the sigil that appears when you cast Godskin incantations.
    Spoiler:
A small thing I found interesting in the DLC is that we know what the Greater Will looks like between a certain hat representing its appearance and a certain spell and staff that pretty much show the thing. But based on that and the presence of Finger Sorceries I can't help but wonder now: Are the Greater Will and the Primeval Current the same thing? If so, does that mean Graven Sorcery wasn't just a problem for the lives lost along the way. The fools were thinking they are making something that will let them become stars but, without realizing it, might be making their own means to make gods (Marika, Malenia, Miquella level gods) I still have a lot more to do with the DLC and by the end I may look back at this thought and feel embarrassed but right now these are the thoughts that are tingling my brain based on what I have found.

(A pitch black sphere at the center of the Microcosm. It's definitely a sphere, the highlighted curve edge distinguishes its shape from the background darkness.)
Until someone disproves what I think I'm seeing, this makes me think the Black Moon that crumbled over the Eternal City might have been an effigy of the Greater Will. Again, if this is correct, I think Ranni's cold Sorceries may have an error in the description. It says the Crone taught Ranni to fear the "Dark" Moon but we never see her do anything of the sort. I think it was suppose to say "Black" Moon and this is what started Ranni's anti-Greater Will behavior.

Even the eclipse is falling flat at this stage. But not massively popular as this channel still is, the mimicry theory is of the finest theories I have seen on Fromsoft. Might still hold truth.
