True, and the darkness you sense come from Justin insecurities, I believe. And the need to prove something at the cost of putting hailey down. I think is something he will eventually stop doing with maturity and by seeking God.
It also seems like he’s never really listening to her when she talks. It’s like he just stares at the camera at himself and just asks her random things to make it seem like he’s being attentive when he’s not.

Justin is DEFINITELY a narcissist. The way he always says “you’re so pretty”, “it’s insane how pretty you are”. It’s like him trying so hard making himself look good and proving that he’s in love with the most amazing person. All the PDA, that’s exactly what a narcissist would do.
THIS!!! And even saying "pretty" imo is so like ingenue and just focused on her looks. People usually use words like beautiful when complimenting someone they love. And it surpasses mere sexual gratification, which it seems is the only thing he likes her for as well as obviously her motherly tendencies.
And he says thos World with zero emotion, just screaming, every narcissists does that, and you don't know if you can believed their World or not...
well, tbh no one but them really knows the truth but i can only tell you about my own experience with a guy similar to this. it's almost creepy of how much seeing his body language and little comments in this video remind me of him. but i was still so in love with him, oh i even loved him more than myself. from the moment i woke up my only thought was: "is he going to be nice to me today (which meant will my day be good) or is he going to be mean to me again (which meant my day will be absolutely horrible)". thinking back it's almost insane that i made him and his attitude towards me responsible for the outcome of my day... i did everything to try to make him happy. everything i could. for so so long. no matter what he did, no matter how bad there was no way i would've said: "okay, that's it. that was too much. goodbye!" it only ended when he simply got bored of me or i don't know what and threw me away like a toy he played with, with no regards of my mental health and how i felt. throughout the whole relationship he never cared if i was sad, god i even cried infront of him and had a full-blown mental breakdown just begging him to talk about this "relationship" between us, which ended with him saying "we are at your house now, goodbye" and me getting out of the car without solving anything i was upset about. then he ignored me for a full week, not once checking in if i was okay, only to hit me up on the weekend again to talk... and this would go on for month. and i always put up with it because i loved this kid so so much; so much that i would´ve literally set myself on fire just to keep him warm. but you can only set yourself on fire so long, until you eventually burn out.

I hope you're healing from this difficult situation now 🧡 Be the love / energy you wish to receive, love for another is great but there's nothing like that unconditional love for yourself!!!!

I think Justin’s maturity was stunted with his young stardom. He seems kind of dark whereas Hailey seems light.

I love Justin but I think he’s always gonna have a immature side to him because of the way he was brought up...he wasn’t taught certain things at certain ages like most kids..being brought up in the industry and growing up in front of the world will always affect him no matter how old he is

She's like his mother AND wife lol. That's the vibe I get. Like he needs her to nurture him like a mother. Which I'm not surprised by because he didn't get that from his parents growing up. She seems super patient.
Some of us tend to just gravitate towards a more maternal role in life in general and people seem to seek that from us. Maybe we just come across and understanding and nurturing so people feel comforted and trust us. I’m not saying that it’s completely healthy or right to assume those roles in all relationships but I’ve seen it enough times and experienced it myself with my own relationships romantic and other wise.

bronwynalexandria I don’t know if you know the definition of codependent but it is usually the person who constantly worries about the other because they don’t trust them to take care of themselves so they take on everything to make sure things are good. Pretty much mother/child dynamic. Mother is the codependent.

And there's his lyme disease. His experience was definitely awful, but honestly lyme disease isn't the worst thing under the sun and he acts like such a victim. And she takes such good care of him as seen in his Seasons documentary. But I'm just like, there are double amputees who are more independent and take better care of themselves than a rich dude with Lyme disease. The codependency is yikes

My brain has been fucked for the last 4 years. Lymes is a nasty disease especially if it’s late stage. Your brain doesn’t work, you have arthritis and chronic pain all over the body. Cognitive functioning in like understanding people is out the window off and on. Sometimes it affects your speech. It affects your way of seeing. Dizziness. Weakness in body. Muscle and strength loss.
Lymes disease is top sickness For suicide victims. So please stop judging or being inconsiderate, stop lacking empathy. It’s a really fucked thing. And only now am I healing from it using Chinese medicine cause western don’t do shit.

The way that this just yelled NARCISSIST relationship. She has to play the mother role because he's a child. Narcissists are terribly afraid of abandonment so they purposely do self-destructive/emotionally abusive behaviors to test the mother's kindness and loyalty. But the test never end and this dynamic lasts until the relationship ends.
Their mother? She’s his wife and she’s a grown woman. If she doesn’t like it, she’s welcome to leave.

I think anyone in a narcissistic relationship has their warning bells ringing rn. Hailey just lets things go because she has high emotional intelligence and values the relationship more than her ego, and obviously hasn't been through a situation like this before, but she also needs to be loved. Justin is very very needy, has a big ego, and puts Haily down in small ways like the chess and trying to make himself seem more important like when he was disrespectful to her in front of the world for answering abt the lime disease. Putting their relationship so much on blast for others to see their intimacy, making a show of it, talking baby talk, telling her how he loves her every 2 seconds, overkill with the affection, and making a big show out of her beauty in front of others is laying it on thick with the love bombing. He's a textbook narc. This was my first time seeing him or her "live" & I feel so bad for her. I'm sure he has huge blow ups when she embarasses him or makes him feel less than in front of others. This is also why it was so hurtful when he and selena broke up, and why he moved on so quickly and married the next one. It's all about appearances for narcs. It's so crazy to watch it happening like this.

I feel so bad for Hailey, her dad was abusive and he and his brother were famous for beating their women, And now she’s in a relationship with Justin. At first when he was with Selena I used to think Selena was the problem since I was such a big fan of his, but it clearly shows that he’s the problem . He’s simply toxic.
If she really grew up seeing an abusive relationship of her parents as u say, then it makes perfect sense why she stays with Justin despite of all what he does, because children who live like that tend to be abusive themselves or be predisposed to be victims to abusiveness.

And I do agree that it's nice that they are affectionate, a lot of couples feel embarrassed to show PDA. But that's pretty much the only positive thing about this relationship, sadly. the reason why his relationship with selena ended, was probably the fact that selena wasn’t as patient and allowing as hailey and tbh I don’t think it’s right to accept everything someone does, he’ll never learn from his mistakes that way.
Hailey should be enjoying her life, instead she is the mother of a very troubled child.
my ex was emotionally and sexually abusive and as much as i love justin, his eyes and mannerisms give me the same vibes. almost triggering/ptsd. i could only pray their relationship is healthier than what it appears to the public and that hailey isn’t being manipulated/gaslighted/abused...

Ditto. I was married for 21 yrs to an emotionally abusive man. Justin’s behavior is definitively triggering to me, as well .. it’s real PTSD. The clip when they were talking about Lyme Disease was awful and difficult for me to watch .. that’s a perfect example of someone who says something downright nasty and horrid, then pretends like it meant nothing bad. Gaslighting is real.
In past interviews Justin said the he was addicted to sex, and that he and Hailey had a very hard time because of that. I don’t think he got over it. I really think he needs help ASAP

I always thought they were a cute couple but this is my first time actually seeing them converse with one another; I don't follow them like that. You can tell Hailey thinks the world of him and let's just hope Justin doesn't screw it up for himself. He obviously is with a young lady that really loves him.

EXACTLY!!! And I feel like she is aware of this, but feels so bad for him that she accepts him wholly and doesn't realize she cannot fix him. Even one of his songs on his new album, the lyrics really stood out to me: "Yeah, I know, yeah, I know that it hurts. When I push your love away, I hate myself. Sometimes, I don't know why you love me. Sometimes, I don't know why you care." This is such victim behaviour
His eyes are blank and cold when he's complimenting her. It's like when you say 'I love you' out of habit, and not because you feel it in that moment!
I’m his fan but I’ll look at it objectively. He improved a lot as a partner but he still needs to learn some things. As a man I can tell you that he loves her but to me it looks like he has his ego and he needs to work on it. But to say that his eyes are blank and cold, it’s cringe cause tbh, that’s the worst excuse to say someone doesn’t love someone and to make that statement, you might write something different next time :|

My bff said her partner was also “just teasing” her a week before she called me to help her escape her own house. This toxic kind of behavior is often subtle. You need to see the little details that differentiate couple dynamics from actual abuse.

@@KB-un3el He doesn't seem physically abusive but more emotionally abusive...which in my opinion is more damaging. He looks at her with lust...not love. When she's talking he makes it almost seem as if he doesn't care but rather that he would rather get her in a bed...and i'm sorry but that starts to really mess with someones worth. He makes "jokes" that almost have a sense of truth to it which makes you on edge. Not only that there seemed to be some sketch stuff with Selena (I've watched more videos on it) where it seems Selena was emotionally abused by him. Its so hard to be sure, I don't know them personally so I can't just assume and speak for people. But once you go through abuse...nobody knows abuse better than someone who went through it. And watching this just reminded me of my ex and it worries me what goes on when the camera isn't rolling.

I literally felt the same exact way. I’ve never been so subtly triggered by these interactions that my past self would have thought was genuinely innocent but not after being with someone who had covert narcissistic tendencies… oof!

Justin is definitely passive aggressive. This is not to talk bad of him, but he seems to have a deep-seeded sense of insecurity and need for validation. nothing bad about that, until you start jabbing people around you to 'scratch that itch'. Hailey might indeed have the personality that just brushes it off, or just takes it. But every now and then, you can see she clearly doesn't like that quality in him. Maybe he grows and learns to let that go, but maybe he'll stay that way. And eventually she'll leave him because she'll get fed up with it. I know from experience that it's not fun to be around passive aggressive people for a longer period of time. it's like walking through an endless minefield and every single thing you say might set the passive aggressive side off. PA behavior tears apart friendships and relationships.

He was handling fame well and enjoying it until maybe his late teens when there was pressure that his career was over because puberty started to affect his voice. He didn't start doing drugs until recent years. He had a huge support system around him if you watch any documentary about him. But he choose to rebel and act out bothering his neighbors,abusing drugs, being reckless and cheating on Selena. It was his own fault.
He had a decent childhood with loving parents and grandparents. He just grew up a bit poor and his parents split up.

Still with him, went through a lot of arguing and me moving out to get to the point we are at now, he’s been seeing a therapist and has been constantly working on himself. I’ve even been able to recognize that I cause some of the problems too, though when it comes to these relationships regardless of who starts it I feel it’s best to leave. I just wasn’t in a position too but it ended up working out. I think this relationship has caused some trauma that will linger. I’m currently learning to trust him again and feel more secure with myself and it’s been extremely difficult to do both. I’m only in my early 20’s and now 7 months into this relationship so this almost didn’t seem worth it. I sometimes still think it’s still not, but if he’s willing to put in all this effort I don’t see why I shouldn’t also. I’m happier now with my own place so regardless of what happens I’m not so depended on him and it feels great! :)

i've been in a similar relationship, constantly feeling like your walking on eggshell with someone and being afraid to express yourself around them for fear they might take what you say the wrong way. you don't want to hurt them but deep inside, you are hurting because you can't share a nice thought with them without questioning how they will take it. constantly having to monitor their facial expression to see if your getting a positive or negative feedback from them. it's draining and suffocating, and frankly, it's toxic. it also gets worse when the other person is oblivious to your body language and facial expression and how uncomfortable you feel and look. she's a nice and loving girl but she has to know her self worth. she's babying him and he is a bit insecure and goes to her for comfort, like a child to their mom. he's kinda like a ticking bomb and she doesn't know when he's going to explode and she feels like she has to be there for him and help him if he does or is about to. that's the kind of person she is. but she also needs someone who will be there for her in the same manner, not someone who's going to put their emotional needs before hers all the time.
My dad is like this. Growing up with him has scarred me forever.
