When I saw khun acting the way he was, I knew he didn’t trust her and I’m glad I was right. Plus I love how we now know, those 2 have been there since what happened to bam because he now has a team he can use. Can’t wait for them to learn he’s alive

They propably skipped a lot of things from the trustworthy room so they have more episodes for the things layer (which I believe are better, because you start to get invested in the characters and you arent confused about who ,what ,why ,were from the trustworthy room).

@@Eduan_the_King Yea I really liked this part in the manhwa. In the trustworthy room I was super confused (they didn't reveal that Viole is Baam) and dropped it for a few weeks ,even though I set a goal to binge watch it for like 100 chapters.
Good I came back to reading it because after that it is PEAK.

Worst girl is back! Rachel is such a good character in that we love to hate her. So great to see her back in the show and see what she is doing now. And it seems to be the same old as before but now with Khun instead. But Khun is not manipulated as easily as he is a great manipulator as well. So he has discovered Rachel’s lie. You got the first hint of that as Rachel was hugging him. As he did not hug her back, instead having a knife in his hand behind her back. Which shows that he is ready to stab her in the back just like she did to Bam in season 1. Also for the fact that after visiting Rachel Khun did wash his hand, as a way to get ride of her filth. Also when he revealed his plan to his new team. It felt like such an impactful scene with the light going out and his eyes being the only glowing part.
I also loved the environment design of the houses in the clouds. As it was something that you would found in a studio ghibli setting.
Then it was funny to see how Bam’s team mate did react him. Forgetting that he is part of a terrorist group because he is such a good cook and renting the place that they are staying in

The item khun put down is a suspendium it is a substance that can float in shinshu. Lighthouses and pockets and most of the floating buildings we see are made out of it.
Khun called Rachel' BS all the way at the end of season 1. "If only I had met Bam instead of you."
There was no way with his backstory of being betrayed that he was going to trust another snake.
I know you find it slow and to many characters but I want to remind you this is a LONG running weekly series. This arc were on right now came out 11 years ago. Also each arc the chapters get longer. A single chapter of part 3 would cover like 10 chapters of these early parts of season 2 of tower of god
I'm happy that this episode returned us to the realm of "good enough" episode 4 flopping was sad, but I am glad we are back on track with similar quality of adaptation as the first 3 episodes. There's a scene they did change to cut out something important out of it, but even in the manhwa it was supposed to be a blink and you miss it scene, so I think I'll wait to see what they do in the next couple of episodes, and if the thing is still relevant, I will talk about it then.
I read the webtoon a couple years back, what did they change out of curiosity?
For me only ep 1 and 5 were good, maybe ep 2 as well

@@coltonwilliams4153 part of the group but i believe her loyalties lies on Bam. Don't get me wrong though. Sure, she'd sell FUG for Bam. But it's also because she sees Bam as the one who will fulfill her wish. She has indeed the same motive as FUG but at least she is loyal to him.
The thing I love about Khun is that he's so rational about this. We know what Rachel did, but no one else does. Khun knows that Rachel is lying about her legs not working, but he doesn't know for certain that she killed (intentionally or not) Bam. He smarts enough to bee 99% certain that she murdered Bam, but I get the feeling that he's playing the long game and wants to see her mess up and admit to it. He's not going to throw an emotional fit and destroy Bams team just to get Rachel. She's not worth it. Instead, I think he wants to build her up only to tear her down and break her completely.
Begining of season 2 in manwha is a bit of a slow burn before the ball really gets moving depending on how they pace it and episode count this seasons gonna end on a high note

As a manhwa reader i liked this episode. But i have also not disliked the rest much personally since it is very much like it was in the manhwa. First and the first 50 pages of it will be about very different characters than first season. It has a big shift and for me that does not really matter much. Now is this a perfect adaptation? No but honestly till now they have done less damage to how the manhwa was than what the first season did as the first season just completely ignored endorsis built up friendship with bam. This episode even did rectify some of it by showing some in this ep.

I swear I'm the only anime fan out there that doesn't hate Rachel. Am I looking forward to the day that Bam gets his revenge? Of course. Maybe it's because I saw through her manipulation from the beginning or I believed her from the very first episode when she said she'd do anything to climb the tower (and told Bam not to follow her up)... but yeah - when she revealed herself in that room I literally said to myself "yeah - that's my evil bitch".

Those 4 episodes were hard to watch!! Ep 1 was decent among them though still can't even compare it to s1 one even it was not perfect I enjoyed it I even binged it just days before S2 and it felt as good as first time I watched it.
Honestly, this was a very slow part of the manhwa. The people saying it was going to be peak were just gaslighting. I remember reading this section as it came out and most of the comments were people complaining. The part that will be peak is the arc after this, I think the anime is getting 2 cours right? That second cour will be way more exciting, probably the last couple episodes of this first cour too.
One thing this story has is plot, never doubt where the story is going and what is being cooked. But it takes time to get there at various points.
I remember mal having it listed as 13 episodes but now it's unknown so maybe it's 2 cours

100% don’t drop it. It’s slow, yes, but the time they take to flush everything out makes the big moments so much more emotionally in touch with you.
As someone who just watches the anime, I still dont understand what happened to Bam. Is viole Bam? What happened ? This time jump makes me feel like Im watching something else.
Season 1's anime just rewrote things too much. It's supposed to be confusing as everyone's motives are shown later on but the anime of season 1 cuts out almost all the lore about ongoing events in the tower apart from Headon and Hwaryun plotting through Rachel. Just read the we comic it's basically a different story and season 2 will make more sense then.

Season 2 has to make up for how bad an adaptation season 1 was so as someone who only read it and watched some of season 1, knowing it's a different studio, I can't see the faults here as being unrelated to season 1.

Oh damn, Khun actually knows Rachel lied and "killed" Bam, that was an interesting reveal. I like that he even has proof that she can walk and she can't be trusted and has a team ready to betray her, I'm sure it won't go easy because one of them will surely gain affection for her, it'll probably be Ran or even Novick so I'm curious to see what will happen on Khun's side.
