  • Awesome New Bamboo Propagation Discovery UNBELIEVABLE!!! (YOU Got To See This)
nice long roots growing under water which is great for pond filtration, oxygen, and fish!
OK, so since making this video I had some people give their feedback:( ( Below)
    (((FEEDBACK)))
(FEEDBACK) Any school aged kid knows that bamboo, sugar cane, and grape grow from the nodes of cuttings.......no revelation here.
(FEEDBACK) We all know what bamboo can do, no surprise here.... :)
(FEEDBACK) Actually there are several videos showing how to propagate by cutting...this is considered by cutting. I ran into this similar experience with galangal plants. I cut to maintaine the size of the bush, and use the cuttings as mulch and ended up I had a bunch of young plants emerge from the nodes.
    (((MY THOUGHTS)))
OK so here’s the deal with Seabreeze Bamboo and other clumping Bamboo Plants!
Many have a hard time propagating (( Bamboo )) from cutting even from nodes. (I have other bamboo propagation videos) plus many propagation videos of Fruit Trees, Grape Vines, Sugarcane, and more!
The only way that I was successful was to Separate by the roots and plant or pot.
    However,
what makes this unique is that you can propagate the whole cane at one time. Simply by floating in the pond.
    Someone mentioned Plants by cuttings:
I have propagated many PLANTS by Cuttings, however it is very different propagating Bamboo so there is no comparison to propagating plant vs Bamboo.

Thanks for your input.

So the topic of this video was making a floating island so you can have aquatic plants on it which when grown will have their roots down into the water thus filtering the water to Improve water quality and reduce Pollutants providing a biodiversity Habitat.
    Thanks for Watching

This is a great discovery and love the future plans on this for the floating island as bamboo propagations!

Thanks, I was surprised to see that my cut Bamboo polls started to propagate and grow roots. I will be doing this with any new cuttings.

Actually, I know some folks in California who use a similar method to rapidly spread bamboo. They'll take down a cane and bury it under mulch, and keep it wet. Often, after a while, new shoots will come up from where the nodes are on the original cane. It's one way to get an entire row of bamboo without buying that many plants. :) It just takes longer.

Hi Loren, yes I also tried that method. I folded over some canes and burred a few under the composted mulch by mu chicken coop. did not have the same results, not sure why. anyways, by luck I noticed that submerged cane rooted on my floating island and grow. just helping others by sharing my experience. Thanks for your input.

this also, is like how sugarcane is propgated.

Hi, propagating sugarcane and Bamboo are two different plants. propagating different plants react differently. I have many propagation videos of Fruit Trees, Grape Vines, Sugarcane, and more! here is one of my Sugarcane videos th-cam.com/video/NtvfC3FbnyE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Dot39X2QspIBADqd

funny. I grow sugarcane which grows great from nodes. It's awesome until it gets out of control and starts killing out the native plants.
If you want to grow Bamboo it should be done in a container or with underground barriers installed that go below the root growth.

there are two kinds of Bamboo, Clumping and Running. I ONLY have Clumping, they grow and stay in round clumps and DO NOT spread.
