They're driving like they're late for work but still have to go the speed limit.
Everything looks really slow.
Cause they are exploring, maybe you haven't played the original but they are using a sort of detector that detects treasure cars, you'd usually go ""slow"" trying to find the source of the sound.

Physics was awful. TDU1 nice playing now, it's grand game. But i tried to play to second part and every time dropped it because physics unbelieveble bad.

I played TDU1 yesterday. And I'm still shocked that this game is more than 15 years old. She is so beautiful. As soon as I saw the 200-kilometer race all over the island, I really freaked out.

We 🙏 for 3rd person view with original speedometers for RPM and speed! This detail implemented does a lot for cruising, exploring & racing experience around Hong Kong island.
I think everyone here is a pure tdu fan, their last game was phenomenal, probably best racing game of all time
When you render the entire trailer for a month and forgot to toggle the particle quality option in the graphics menu.

Near the fact i see people say no mud or dust on or around the cars i also saw a comment on a older trailer where we saw hong kong beautiful made with hold on american carss!? At least put kei cars into it and lots of japanese and chinese cars i wish i could see a brand new sleepin dogs that game was just like i was there ,amazing . near that i love that they choose hong kong i wish forza would choose asia/ japan to next release and it looks beautiful keep up the work you all got us almost over test drive!

Interesting but the sound profiles for the vehicles aren't even close, that simply isn't what an Integrale sounds like. I spent nearly a week right up the trumpet of one during Targa Newfoundland and that's not even close. It's far raspier and sweeter than the sound profile here, this sounds almost like a R32 VR6.

It looks nice but how can u miss fundamentals like basic elements that react to cars like dust and all of that it looks soulless seeing a car drive thru mud staying moderately clean with no dust then doing thru water and a massive splash just to go back to a dustless drive.
The cars clearly got dirty, if you look closely. They already mentioned dust was being optimized

stop worrying about the dust, the game is magnificent, it's a detail they can manage in two clicks. The studio is one of the few remaining honest and passionate.
t be honest, the dust aside... the AO is terrible, the Temporal AA needs to go, the vehicle physics look way too stiff so even if you feel the physics you cant see it well (Much like Assetto Corsa Competizione which was made in the same engine), shadowing is terrible, vehicle sounds need revision; overall the game looks like a cheap knockoff or a teaser made in GTA5 and even that's an insult to GTA...
I love Test Drive Unlimited, but this new Dev team has no idea how to do a Test Drive game since they havent worked on one before

As a fan of Test Drive, this looks horrendous. Not a single bit of this video felt like a TD game, more like the crew.
TDU was always focused on optimization,graphics and physics,they never cared about visual effects anyway.
I see this as great news that they don't go over the top just so the game has INSANE details (which they can do) but is un-optimized.

This much is already above my expectations as the game has been made by an studio that never made tdu games before and they literally made everything form the scratch.

Yawn… another Forza Horizon kind of game. They should’ve made a Test Drive Off-Road kind of game or remade the original Test Drive (2002) game. That would’ve been way more fun. 😔
Horizon doesn't have car dealerships, workshops, apartments, social features, ability to walk, vehicle functions (turn signals, lights, roof etc), a proper radio with jingles, a 1:1 scale map, proper progression, OEM wheels and interior customization. Your comment makes no sense.

Bom, espero que o jogo seja divertido num contexto geral, que possua conteúdo suficiente pra manter os jogadores entretidos, com um mapa variado, etc. Só acredito mesmo quando o jogo lançar e vermos as análises dos jogadores em geral. E que não seja uma crítica do tipo: "odiei o jogo porque os carros não levantam poeira". 😭 Lógico que isso é importante para manter o jogo mais realista, mas existem muitas aspectos além disso para vermos.

This is giving me 'The Day Before' vibes. Very produced trailers with no real info, looks different every time and always looks off somehow. Hopefully I'm wrong though as I loved the old TDU games.

Game's lighting is actively being experienced on, that's why it looks different each trailer.

Hong Kong is known for it's high urban density and large population. Narrow streets, loud, tall buildings, chaotic. Cool dirt roads, interested to see how the city parts look.

people saying is "early in development" are clueless. the graphics are pretty much set in stone, except for MAYBE a few tweaks, but certainly not actual smoke / dust effects. plus, the performance is horrendous and i'm pretty sure all of their efforts leading up to release are focused on content and optimizations.

Cool, but it needs to be better than that to succed. Better in graphics (cars), gameplay, and out of races life. I remember that what makes me buy the third Test Drive Unlimited was the out race life. Have your own character, and do some things with him out of cars and your own house with garage. If it doesn't have this, probably I'm (and others players) not buying. You could not compete against Forza without this.
