- Hey y'all! Come in my kitchen and cook with me some simple and easy date night dinners at home. Perfect for summer! I don't know about y'all but date night is few and far between now a days. Heck we can barley afford to even leave home! These dinners are so simple and easy and much less expensive then going out to a fancy restaurant. We have a fresh strawberry summer salad, Texas chili steak, Cajun shrimp with cheesy jalapeno grits, and easy banana pudding. All of these will make you think you are at a fancy date night with your honey!

6 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 heaping tsp ground mustard
1 cup avocado oil ( spelled wrong in video sorry!)
1 cup fresh raspberries
2 tsp poppy seeds
Texas Chili Steak
2 New York strip steaks
1 Anaheim pepper thin sliced
1 Poblano pepper thin sliced
1 Jalapeno pepper thin sliced
1 small red onion thin sliced
2 Tbsp Ghee
1/4 cup bourbon
1.4 cup beef stock
1/2 cup cream
salt and pepper to taste
Mashed Potatoes
7 russet potatoes ( washed)
2 Tbsp butter
1/3 cup bacon grease
1/2 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper
Shrimp and Grits
Cajun Shrimp
1/2 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
2 Tbsp each of
Paprika
garlic powder
onion powder
parsley flakes
1 Tbsp Tonys Chachere
Bacon Jalapeno Grits
1 cup 5 minute grits
4 cups water
2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 slices bacon chopped
2-3 tbsp chopped jalapeno
Garlic Jalapeno Cream Sauce
2 slices bacon chopped
1 Tbsp Jalapeno
2 cloves garlic minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
My version
Easy Banana Pudding
8 oz block cream cheese
1 can sweetened condensed milk
5 oz pack french vanilla instant pudding
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups heavy cream
3/4 cup powdered sugar
Chessman cookies ( spelled wrong in video sorry!)
