Dartmoor Camp, and short lived sunshine at last.

- With the weather set fair, and all the family stuff over and done with for a while we were finally able to get out on the moor for a camp.
With brand new unworn boots on her feet we decided not to push the likelihood of Amanda getting a blister so didn't go too far into the moor. But it was nice to just get out and even Patch enjoyed it.

I come for the ufos and wild beasts of the moor 😂, cracking spot you had there . Loved the atmospheric morning mist drift past the crags , very nice atb Dave ⛺️👍
I'll have to search around and see if I can find a frisbee to chuck into the air and film, failing that I'll dress the dog up and call it a big cat. That mist clearing like it did surprised me, it was there one minute and literally clearing away the next.
I can see why that is a favorite camping spot for a lot of people... just beautiful!! Excellent views from the tent, and yeah a gorgeous sunset. A little cooler in the morning, but all in all, looked like you guys had a great trip.
I love the tops for the dramatic rocks and views, but prefer to go further into the hills and camp in the valleys if I can as the tops are popular, especially this one as it's not a long walk. But with new boots on Amanda's feet we didn't want blisters spoiling a camp in rare sunshine.

Great place up there ain't it Simon. Looks real atmospheric. The sound of Patch gently howling through the mist would be unnerving for fellow campers if they weren't used to it lol 😆. Thanks mate, yeah no blisters so a longer hike next time for her, lol. Patch had howled a bit earlier when the mist was thickest and I thought exactly the same.

The new boots were a success thankfully. Patch is a Siberian Husky and I doubt we'll be seeing a fox with him around.
Keep thinking of Olive singing I want a clean shaven man. Popeye got in all sorts of trouble with that.

I did not think I was going to watch this as you said No Nudity. Then I thought what the hell, I will do what I want in my own home. We never mention things like, good weather or no body else here because you know what happens. I have to say you do not look comfortable.
No beard and other people, even if they are 100 yards away on the other side of the tor makes me uncomfortable, it's why I go to unpopular tors or valley bottoms.
