I like this guy. Some different thinking, and cool to see someone update their belief structure later on in life. Usually by that time we're pretty set in our ways.

Lots of wisdom in this one folks, take heed. Almost can't believe after everything this Vietnam Navy Seal must have gone through, he is not only hilarious, obviously one BAMF, incredibly introspective, and also spiritual. Thank you Mr. Murphy! I just know this one will help a lot of people!!!! Godspeed Sir 🙏🏽

Important emphasis on "spiritual health", practicing every day-more significant then going to the gym every day in the long run. What an articulate, inspiring guest. Glad he mentions specific examples and books to consult. He is in his 8th decade-wisdom from this elder.Thank you, both.

At the 1:20:00 ish mark Mr. Murphy begins to talk about a book by Adam Makos titled “Spearhead”. This book is phenomenal. It provides such an in depth POV of 1/2 different forward tank units. “Hell on Wheels” which had War-Daddy (similarly portrayed in the movie Fury by Brad Pit) and “Spearhead” were the two units famed for doing deep pushes into enemy territory with their “doe” infantry men.
Jocko should absolutely cover this since Makos’ writing is cinematic and would be an epic listen.

Howzit Jocko, your episodes cause me to improve the habits in my life. Like train like Arnold 132 tons per day as a minimum. I've escaped and evaded a armed hostage scenario and and engaged in reconnaissance and Intelligence collection and counter-Intel to an amazing effect, I have never seen combat yet but I'm sober by my own choice of smoking meth. One year on the 13th.
Thankful for your conversations and guests!

Heads and shoulders over other podcasters for one simple reason, Jocko has read the authors books, its embarassing to see people interview quality people who have written fine books but the interviewer has missed out on the 1st Commandment of interviewing authors, you should had read the book. Love the connection Jocko has with his interviewees.

Dont confuse Catholicism with Apostate Christianity.
I pray people look into Yeshua the Messiah. The evidence will never be definite because God requires faith in him. But it's their and its compelling
The evidence for the resurrection is well known and it consists of three interlocking pieces: 1) the fact of the empty tomb, 2) the resurrection appearances of Christ and 3) the transformation of the disciples and the establishment of the church. After Jesus’ violent death, his followers were frightened and scattered. Then, something happened that grew a strong, bold, and confident belief that resisted sustained, murderous opposition. Unlike other movements with executed leaders, once they came back together they did not replace Yeshua with one of his family members or somebody else. Their resistance was entirely non-violent and devoid of political power. They were all suddenly willing to die for what they saw. What changed them? Why was there not evidence at the time to undermine their belief? Why didn't the Pharisees just produce Jesus’ body and end the faith? What convinced them that Yeshua was inconceivably greater than his family?
One of the earliest arguments against Jesus' resurrection was from the Jewish authorities. The Jewish authorities did not respond to the claim that Jesus’s tomb was empty. Rather, they concocted a rebuttal which argued that the disciples stole the body (which is talked about in Mt. 28:11-15). Ironically, their rebuttal actually strengthens the claim that the tomb was found empty. The Jewish and Roman leaders never produced a body which at least implies an empty tomb. If they were opposed to Christianity and possessed the body, why would they not expose it? Even if the Jews wouldn’t, the Romans would squelch what would be perceived as a new uprising.
A different world view usually takes along time of debating and discussion until one side wins, that's how culture and worldviews change. But the Christian worldview of resurrection sprang up full-blown immediately after the death of Jesus. Their was no process or development. His followers were telling others what they had seen themselves. It would have been hard to get Jews to form a movement unless their were multiple, plausible, repeated encounters with Jesus after his death. It was blasphemy for Jews to begin worshipping any human being. No other group of Jews ever worshipped a human being as God. What led them to do it? What changed their worldview so fast and had them willing to die for it, be thrown in prison for it, and preach it through out the cities? Its because the Messiah came and ushered in the 2nd Covenant, as the prophets said thousands of years before, offering Salvation to us all.

I see that you dispense mental health advice on a daily basis. Could you please clearly list your credentials in the medical field? I realize that you were in the armed forces but that isn't really relevant. When this uneducated, unprofessional advice goes wrong can we hold you accountable? Will you be there do deal with the repercussions of unsolicited medical advice? What's that? You're making money off of doing podcasts? By giving unsolicited medical and mental health advice? That's great for you! What about your patients???? Oh that's right!, you're not qualified to have patients. You don't have patients. You're not actually helping anyone. Just a podcast whining about first world problems.
