I commend and celebrate how all of you guys present each of your very well planned and executed products and services. BIG fan of clean, precise and carefully considered pursuit. Really, really like the final trans service touch of charcoal and clear coat protected housing. Here's to the few remaining true pros in a seemingly never ending sea of here today, gone tomorrow hacks. Thumbs up. Best wishes in much continued success. High quality winners!
I got a duramax a year ago and these guys are a beast i had number 3 injector start missing and number 8 just stayed open,it was ridiculous.everything i read was replace all 8 well im a diesel 10 year experienced diesel mechanic and i begged to differ.so i replaced 3 and 8 and havent had a problem since. Anyways these guys have helped me out alot with the knowledge of my duramax just wish i could get more info on my 2006.5!!!
Should I build my transmission? I've limped it a couple of times. I have a 2002 LB7, I got it all stock and have since done 5in exhaust, S&B cold air intake, 33 in tires and a edge evolution cs2. I limped it on my fifth tune.
I'm not positive on this but... trannys are made of aluminum because it dissipates heat better than other metals. also it doesn't rust and aluminum is light. they also come raw and unfinished from the factory for a reason. when you paint a tranny your then holding excess heat in and its counter productive as far as heat dissipation. these are just thoughts I came up with myself. I could be very wrong. please respond I'm curious. I really enjoy your guys experience and videos. also whenever I call you guys with a tech ? you guys are extremely helpful. thanks guys
how about a truck putting out around 450-500 rwhp, I've heard just a transgo jr shift kit will do the job, would a flywheel be necessary also at this range of HP? or just the clutch plates? or perhaps something else?
I have a LB7 2001. 5 year allison tran. With alot of upgrades more power. Some times my tran goes to limp mode when I'm stepping on the gas pedal. I'ma need to build my transmission to hold more then 500 hp
+Duramaxtuner I have an 01 w a ppe stg 5 trans, less than 10k. New filters and oil ,stock cooler and when it gets hot 200 on the trucks gauge, it starts to act up, flaring shifts and down shifting so hard it will chirp the tires(coasting to a light)Works awesome when it's warm ,not hot.any thoughts? Need a bigger cooler? Re learn? Help!
can i still use the truck to tow heavy (30,000 sometimes) when i need it with the dt1000? or is it a strict race trans? my dad had is built trans when it blew, he had just an exhaust, built the trans to 700hp, and it came with a 500,000 mile warranty. do you guys offer a warranty? if so, how long?
Yes you can tow with the DT1000. No problems there. We do offer a 1 year warranty, however it is extremely rare that anyone has an issue. We strive to provide you the absolute best product so you don't have issues later.
Duramaxtuner wtf is wrong with some of these idiot people commenting on your videos. yes if you lowered your pan 10" and incorporated a 10" draw straw then yes it would be harder on stuff. Hey guys don't fill your fuel tank all the way full. the truck will have to work harder ok.
thefastkidonayamaha 625 You might be confused. This was a video for a built Allison transmission in a Duramax. I would check google.com is you are looking to buy pink slippers or any other ladies undergarment.
Would it be cheaper to flat out Buy a DT750 from yall, or send my trans in to be rebuilt to hold that HP/TQ range. 04.5 LLY. Currently 250k miles on stock trans. 72mm VT turbo, 40% over injectors. Trans is holding out, but im beyond scared to open her up. Its already limped out on me once when i did a boost launch.
+Jose Dominguez I would be happy to get you a specific quote, DT750's start at $3,695 for the built transmission and $1,550 for a billet triple disc converter with a billet stator. If you would like to give me a call at the office my number is 815-568-7920 ext 2122.
So your telling me an A1000 will hold 750hp with just a bushing and bearing kit, high energy frictions and steels a CP3 oiler mod and a billet TC of course VB modifications for increased shift pressure but wow no hard parts needed till 1000hp these are good trannies from factory
@dh5254 Yes, the Allison 1000 is highly regarded for how well it can hold power. There are a few other upgrades that go into it. However, those are the 3 main upgrades you'll benefit from.
Looking at buying the dt750, anybody running one? If so how many miles have you put on it and how are you liking it? Having trouble finding reviews on this transmission
Nick I know this video was a long time ago. I have your tunes in my 2011 Silverado. Currently on the 520’tune May some day go up towards the 620 mark with your stealth and exgery CP4 10mm upgrade . What trans build what you recommend and have you changed anything since this video? Thanks, Heber

Great videos, and ilove the clean room. That's how it's done correctly.
Question: will these rebuilds match up to a 8.1 gasser? Tia
The 8.1L gasser would require onsite transmission tuning.
Is there a deep filter lock for the internal filter? Like merchant has

Does it come with lines?

+rexburn1955 We appreciate the comment. I'm not sure the paint we use has very high insulating properties that would retain heat to cause a problem.

Yes. We suggest a built trans for an LB7 anytime you are over 400 RWHP.
Wish you guys were doing this a year ago lol oh well I'll try the stealth turbo
rollincoal We have Stealth Turbo's in stock and ready to ship, give me a call today and I will get one shipping to you, Paul ext 2122.

Wait.. once yoir trans temp has warmed up you have more heat. It causes the pumo to work harder to pull the extra quarts I disagree on the larger pan.
Smokers Delight The larger pan allows for more fluid, more fluid will take longer to heat up. In our experience it works well for this.

You can get away with the DT550 build if you can take it easy on it. If you want more peace of mind, just go straight for the DT750.
Duramax injector pig tail problem
Seen those.
