Being in love causes a lot of women to settle. That feeling of being in love, those hormones of intimacy, and having a companion can be intoxicating for some women that it's hard to honor boundaries and deal breakers and break up with that man. A man knows this and that's why they continue to be disrespectful.
Not even that! It’s if they see hotter lady or richer or smarter or thinner or better or bigger busted!!!! It’s always something and we can’t keep a man!
I started bending my deal breakers for him.. Just to get a break from his pushing and the hope, that he would calm down and find satisfaction. But it just opened the door for getting mistreated. Honor your boundaries.
My ex always used to say I didn't respect boundaries, which I thought was SO untrue. After the breakup, I realized he'd been right- I disrespected my own boundaries, constantly, in that relationship. Now, I'm not scared I'll get hurt, like that, again, because I've learned to consciously trust, protect, and keep my word to myself. 💕
I also think respect comes from a place of gratitude and appreciation you have for that person. Even at our worst moments, my bf and I try to be as respectful as possible to each other, no name calling, no petty drama, no yelling. I feel like we both covertly realise that what we share is rare and special so we wouldn't jeopardise the relationship by evoking disrespectful behaviour. In essence, the risk of losing that person puts our toxic behaviours in check, but equally important, being disrespectful does not match with our values and how we were raised
"Remember it is important to stay true to yourself. And sometimes, walking away from people and situation that diminishes your worth is the strongest move that you can make."
I've learned, the hard way, that a REAL second chance means taking the space to let the person show you the changes they've made, BEFORE getting back together, with them. Its a pretty great time saver, too. If they haven't actually grown, they're usually unwilling to want to take the time to show action, but, if they grew, they'd understand the boundary, and step up.
Respect is the foundation to any relationship whether it be work, friendship or romantic . Without it there is nothing . As always great points to reflect on and consider .
I had a person I was spending time with who was going through a tough time. So I let his behavior slide. Later he was reaching out, but under certain circumstances. So I finally told him that you treat me like I don't matter. Just let me be. All he said was Ouch same. Which I never responded
I have this problem with my current partner. He thinks that if he has money that we will be ok. I told him I don't care about the money. I want you to love and respect me
Why don`t you care about the money? Money is really important and good to have. When there is no money the love will fade as well. Money problems are one of the biggest relationship killers. ;-)
Is he paying your bills taking you on holidays and supports you ? If so, then you need to show him a lot of respect and appreciation. Then see what happens. If he's not doing any of those things for you, then why are you even with him... I'm be gone, dead to him
i think the most important thing for men is a woman being genuine. if she makes the mistake of playing games or becoming overly insecure, he loses interest; which goes to ur point: men need to be respected
Perfect 💯 Respect is everything ❤️ Even in the smaller details. This guy very "slightly" and "subtly" made fun about my country having few medals at the Olympics. I ended the convo for good. You can find out what it's like to be loved, for who you really are. Figure out what things about you YOU find captivating, intriguing, funny, impressive, ext, and then cultivate those things, and prioritize making time to grow and develop in those areas. The things you love will get more pronounced, you'll enjoy and love you for your unique and favorite qualities, they will become more pronounced, and eventually, someone will fall in love with the very things u love about yourself. 🥠💕

I agree, but I have a question. Most of the men I’ve gone on dates with bail after they’ve realised I won’t just “slot into their life”, that I have boundaries and my own opinions and thoughts. Why do so many men get put off by strong women? If they want a woman they respect, why are they put off when you show you won’t just be a “yes-woman”?
Ive thought so much about this. I used to drink (normal college student) but as time went on i completely stopped. I also dont smoke and im a v*rgin. I’ve heard it advised to have the hard conversations about needs, boundaries, etc. at the beginning of the relationship. Also, the right one for you will comply after this conversation or already naturally understand what the dealbreakers are. 7:59 Bottom line: Get out sooner than later to avoid wasted time and heartbreak if your needs and boundaries are not being honored.
Ismael, thank you as always for your insightful video. I have to say this time though, the video you had added in about the break up with the secure woman was a little unrealistic as a secure woman would like to end a relationship with a clear conversation and not just say, 'ok, are you done...there's the door.' A secure woman would like to clear the pathway to move on properly and that requires a civilised conversation. I would definitely want to say my side and end it knowing I expressed my views and I believe I am very secure.Other than that the video was very helpful. I do believe that respect is the top most important thing in any relationship. For me if i dont respect the person i am with I can't continue in a relationship with them. I look forward to your next video. 😊
I think those civilized conversations are worth having with someone who's mature and has treated you with respect. For anyone who has treated you poorly or wasted your time intentionally, I suggest you don't waste more than 10seconds explaining yourself. They do not care about what you have to say, and they even get an ego boost from seeing you try so hard. If you need to express yourself, consider journaling. That's my opinion. Thanks for watching dear.
This may depend on the man who they’re breaking up with. A secure woman may just end things with no conversation if the man is poor in communication, is abusive, or toxic.

Great advice as usual Ismael, thank you! And may I add, ladies, most men will respect and love you less or not at all if you give yourself to him in sex before marriage...That being said, there are good men who will marry you if he gets you pregnant, which may only be a sign of him settling. However, it is very wrong for a woman to sneakily get pregnant in order to try to make a man marry her and may fail anyway! Unless we respect and love Someone Greater than ourselves, we cannot have respect and love to give to others, which is seen by how a person behaves in conflict, when he or she is bored, or behaves at other unpleasant or difficult times. I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone.
I wish you would do these for married women. Women that have children and don't want to leave their relationship but are in very poor circumstances with a man.
Grammarly only helps students stop learning how to read, how to write, and how to think. It is not good for children. It teaches them to replace their own thoughts with suggestions from AI, and it stops them from going through the physiological process of mastering language.

Wat is the relationship between them how can I understand. Please please I am confused please pour your review thank you
This could potentially be a romance scammer. If he asks you for money, block and delete him... Google "romance scam call centers". I just woke up from being duped and consistency persued online by a man. Be careful
Just relise I was never respected by any men I ever been with. Sad to relise I haven't been loved never. Maybe if I waited with sex until the wedding I would deserve respact they were getting from me always. Nooo they wouldn't wait for sex with me. They would brake up and found another one who gives them and let be treated poorly.
I dont understand, is there ANY person on earth that would love someone they dont respect? Isnt it a given? Its a bare minimum for both genders, then on top of it there are other things.

Wow, I hadn't
Thought of it that way. Hmm, thank you for the video.
I wish you would do these for married women. Women that have children and don't want to leave their relationship but are in very poor circumstances with a man.
Correction. Consists
Grammarly only helps students stop learning how to read, how to write, and how to think. It is not good for children. It teaches them to replace their own thoughts with suggestions from AI, and it stops them from going through the physiological process of mastering language.
You wish
@@DiamondsRexpensive I wish that the opposite was true.
The truth !

Me encanta el video acerca de ser una mujer segura. 😂 Gracias por su video ya que el respeto mutuo es muy importante. Hay una palabra que está mal escrita en inglés. Si le interesa corregir, por favor no dude en dejarme saber.
Guys please answer me anyone my friends please .
Wat if if a guy constantly consistently texting good morning everyday to married woman even after they did online sex, still he is texting nicely but not sharing his personal details.

Online sex? 😂 It's fake. The whole thing is fake😂
@@rachelross5829 tq but😔
This could potentially be a romance scammer. If he asks you for money, block and delete him... Google "romance scam call centers". I just woke up from being duped and consistency persued online by a man. Be careful
Might be scammer. Beware of losing ur sanity and money. Obviously he is not real
You are an old woman, married, and you still fall for the schemes of a f boy? Really? Are you for real?
❤
Just relise I was never respected by any men I ever been with. Sad to relise I haven't been loved never. Maybe if I waited with sex until the wedding I would deserve respact they were getting from me always. Nooo they wouldn't wait for sex with me. They would brake up and found another one who gives them and let be treated poorly.
👍
I dont understand, is there ANY person on earth that would love someone they dont respect? Isnt it a given? Its a bare minimum for both genders, then on top of it there are other things.

Amor
Ismael is an erudite counselor, with a modulated, authentic, polite, conversation style that shows he wants the best in other people. You are asking him to lose his accent. Miss Cutiecats, I am in my sixth decade and everyone with an ear will always and quickly figure out I am from Texas. I release and free you to turn on your local radio station. Please, enjoy your local dialect patter.
@@charlottecrookham I didn't mean to offend him. He just says the O in the word love and its not pronounced like that and I have been told this by and English teacher. Have a good day.
@JezeBellaMorte The accent is not the problem but the specific word is not the right way to pronounce it and if he was a professional he would correct this mistake. Just saying.
@JezeBellaMorte A professional in his job as a public speaker and TH-camr. I have a right to my opinion as a viewer of his videos. Have a good day.
Indeed, respect is really important factor for love. If some of you here are longing for a genuine connection with respect, you may do so by trying our chat platform. Maybe you'll find the one you're looking for, a friendship or love.
