I have seen one in the last two years 7.30 am on the way to work on the edge of western downs in Stafford going into the fields! Around 10 years after my Dad and Sister saw one whilst walking the dog in the same area!
Awesome video. I live close to Cannock and from a young age I was always warned of venturing into the Cannock woods alone. A place that hides many a dark, scary secret. Look forward to you posting future videos.
Used to live nearby and going in there alone - never even gave it a moment's thought. However there was one event in 1986 which was utterly terrifying. North side of the forest, a child was literaly swallowed up by the ground, falling into a mining subsidence fissure. Fortunately she was rescued. In balance it is worth remembering that one of the bigger participant sporting events took place at Castle Ring at Easter with hundreds of runners off path. In 60 years of orienteering, day and night events on this top class venue nobody has fallen down a hole and not got out again let alone had any problems with ghosts. Strangest thing I have seen - kayakers sliding down steep snowy slopes one night - I was skiing.
I remember that incident, Richard, not far from Seven Springs. It was quite worrying, given the number of old pit shafts which run underneath the Chase.
I live near the chase and I took a family photo one evening on the chase and there were orbs of light in the trees and floating in the air all round us on the photo but none when we took the photo it’s a spooky place especially of an evening and the German war cemetery is very very spooky to worth a visit
I lived on the fringe of Cannock Chase for 40 years, so its nice to see some of the old places again - I recognised a number of your landscape shots. As for the rest of it, well, the polite response is to do with spherical objects - these stories are pure baloney. Most of them have only emerged since the growth of social media and horror movies - indeed, are simply clones from Hollywood shockers. We never heard any of them until the 1990s! The 'pigman' story possibly originated in an attempt to keep children away from a sewage treatment farm, built on the site of a POW camp by the Rugeley - Stafford road. Again, in its current form its quite a recent story. The puma or panther though is more likely - not long after moving away, my mother told me she'd seen an extremely large black, cat-like creature in broad daylight in her garden, scoffing our cat's unwanted food - and when it stood up, our cat, who was watching it, promptly raced indoors.
@@Hidden_Realms It's not a dogman. It is a Woodwosen. Old Germanic Saxon for Werewolf. My elderly neighbours great grandfather who was guarding German POWs there during WW1 told me that the German POWs were allowed outside of the camp perimeter to forage for mushrooms and berries. They came fleeing back terrified. My neighbours great grandfather and his fellow soldiers shot it point blank with rifles. It disappeared right in front of their eyes. 🙂👍❤️

I live near the Chase. Driven through it many times late at night. I've had warnings about a big cat on the loose.
I'd still rather meet one of those than a werewolf!

I'm looking forward to sharing it! Should be out on Thursday, followed by a little surprise on Friday!
We used to go here at night for a laugh as teenagers. Yes it’s spooky, but we never saw or heard anything untoward.
You have a wonderful voice. Perfect for mysterious tales.
Thank you so much! ☺️
Thank you❤🐺❤
I wonder what the pigman would do if he caught you frying bacon while camping out
It doesn't bear thinking about!
When that first picture of the black eyed girl popped up I felt my heart clench up for a few seconds, I wasn't ready to be jump scared.
You should try walk castle ring and go into the forest around midnight, see if its still relaxing and peacefull

Great... came here to find out about the home of my great-grandmother and I find this!
I hope you enjoyed the video! 🙂
Your closing comments were perfect and how you end a video unlike other sites. Very well done.
Thank you. I believe it's important to remember where real evil lies sometimes. We can't blame it all on the supernatural.
I subbed based on her voice alone 💙🙏🏼

@@Hidden_Realms just want to see a werewolf or an alien 😂
Won't be a werewolf but a dogman. It is usually said to reside around the German military cemetery.
Thanks! Being naturally inquisitive, I will now research dogman vs. Werewolves.
