Looks like a great adventure. I am hoping to complete this in a few weeks. Do you remember the date you completed your climb? Trying to gauge if the road will be partially plowed to the trailhead as it was for you. TIA
Hey Jared, thanks for watching! Its a ton of fun, youre gonna love it. The roads should be plowed all the way to the trailhead by now, assuming no freak storm comes in before your climb. I climbed this bad boy in mid-April. I want to say it was very close to April 15th. Expect a lot of snow once you begin the final 2000 feet at the trailhead. As long as you have crampons though, youll be fine. Good luck my friend!
Awesome video I’m going mid may but I would like to take my mountain bike all the way to the start of the trail is that possible is the road plowed to take the bike and leave it at the beginning of the trail?
Hey Luis, that sounds epic! When I went, there was a guy on the road who had an electric scooter. As long as it doesnt snow a few days before your trip, theres no doubt the road will be clear all the way to the trailhead. Enjoy the climb brotha!
Thanks for posting this! Planning to hike this weekend. I've never been to Lassen. Do you mind me asking how long it took from your car and back? Thanks again.
Thank you bro! I started hiking from my car at the visitors center around 10am and was back around 6:30pm. Now that there is less snow it may take even less time on the trail. Good luck and have fun!
Great video. Thumbs up. Tuna packets are not high calorie. A 2.5 oz packet has about 60 or 70 calories.
