Episode 99 - "The Redux: Part 1" SYNOPSIS: It is the year 2007. With the Decepticons and evil Nebulons banished to deep space, peace reigns throughout the galaxy. Using the same Quintesson technology that brought Optimus Prime back, the Autobots have revived their fallen comrades and hold sizable forces on Earth and Cybertron. All seems to be well for the heroes but from the shadows, Galvatron plots to divide the Autobot forces and reclaim Cybertron!
"Transformers Unofficial" is an independently made continuation of the original "The Transformers" cartoon series made by Sunbow, picking up right where the last episode "The Rebirth, Part 3" left off. This mini series was created to demonstrate to Hasbro that a small independent film studio can produce a product of comparable quality to the original on a limited budget. It is our hope that we can generate enough interest in the project that Hasbro will consider an official online web series continuation of the G1 cartoon.

The Transformers characters, names, and likenesses are property and copyright of Takara Tomy/Hasbro and are used herein under the fair use principal as a derivative work. Please support the offical product.
This transformative remix work constitutes a fair-use of any copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US copyright law. Each of the 4 points of section 107 are addressed individually below with our comments following the *asteriks:
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; *The purpose of this video series is to demonstrate to the copyright holder, Hasbro, that A) There is a sizable market for a continuation of their original cartoon series and B) Modern technology has advanced over the past 30 years to the point that a small group of independent film makers are able to produce a work of comparable quality to that of the original work on an extremely small budget. The use of this video series is not commercial in nature, it is hosted on a non-monetized TH-cam account and the creators do not profit from the material in any way. The purpose of posting the videos online publicly is to generate enough views and interest that the copyright holder will take notice and respond to fans wishes of continuing the original series. Secondly, since no official continuation of the original work exists, publicly posting this unofficial continuation benefits the members of the public who wish to see the storyline continued.
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work; *The original work is an animated series of light hearted stories aimed at children which were for the most part, individual stories independent from one another. Our work meets the definition of "transformative" or "derivative" as this series seeks to present an overarching storyline throughout the entire series with harsher tones aimed at an adult audience.
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; *Like any remix, the original work is heavily featured however, it is used in a transformative nature as described in point 2. In addition, all storylines and dialogue are new and independant of the original work. A comparative ratio of new to original material would be difficult to gauge but in general, all visuals, sound effects and music are from the original work while all dialogue and storytelling angles are new material.
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work; *This series is being distributed solely for fans of the original "The Transformers" series which has not produced a new episode since 1987. It is not related to, nor meant to draw attention away from any current Transformers broadcasts by Hasbro. We ask that viewers watch all official Transformers media before watching this series. It would in fact, only make sense to a reasonable person to view the original work prior to this series since it follows the original work's fiction chronologically. It is also possible that this series may in fact create increased interest in Hasbro's "Generations" Transformers toyline which is related to the original Transformers series which this work is based upon since the original toyline saw a significant boost in sales due to it's supporting work of fiction at the time. Finally, given the use of the word "Unofficial" in the title and highly visible disclaimers before, after and in the video description of each episode stating that this work is in no way related to Hasbro, any reasonable person should be able to differentiate this from an official Hasbro product. LOVIN' IT!!! Man, this took me back to those days after school in the mid-80s when I'd sit mesmerized by tales of our beloved Cybertronian heroes and enemies. Will be checking out more. Also the voice acting is pretty damn good!😮👍

Guys this is fricken awesome please PLEASE make more and show those corporate clowns at Hasbro to stop creating new stuff and focus on doing stuff like this for G1 fans young and old, even better show Taraka guys and they will make and equally a temp on doing something like this, I do like how the Japanese guys continued the story but lack of not so much story but quality would of made me more interested in Headmasters and victory, I actually like the Super God Masterforce series because it kept with the smart story line but still considered for younger audience and thank you for doing this and hope you guys make more in the future.

I was scrolled down reading the synopsis and I have to say just hearing the autobot voices was cool, pretty good likeness.
The Quintesson technology used by Prime to revive Ironhide and company may have been REALLY used in Japanese series Headmasters and Victory as Prowl, ironhide (on a glimpse) and Wheeljack all appear despite their Movie deaths. Maybe Prime was trying to restock the ranks of classic soldiers and had only those three revived before the events of Headmasters took place... :()
How they could revive Ironhide, since he didn't have a head anymore?

I get that you had to bring back the dead autobots to reuse pre-movie footage... but I just can't get past the whole "ark" problem. Trypticon destroyed it in Five Faces of Darkness. I might have went with the Heamasters cartoon for footage that way you wouldn't need to go back like this.
But The Ark(Autobot base) and Teletraan were already destroyed by Trypticon in Five Faces of Darkness Part 5 !!!!!

In the scene at the start, both versions are there. He also was reset, the same as Soundwave.

hey great job and can't wait see see the full episode of the rebirth series and about a redo the return of Optimus prime 2 part saga but instead of the hate plaque storyline how about journey story for Optimus prime who is brought back to life again and sent to seek out primacron (needs the matrix) and goes to Cybertron core to find Primus within the bowls of the planet meanwhile Galvantron becomes aware of optimus prime's return and plans to stop him from calming down primus or cybertron is history ...
Anyway, Hound, Sunstreaker and Sideswipe weren't killed in the movie.

Hound and sunstreaker see prime going to take on all the decepticons and since prime beats them, I believe those two were not killed.

i watch this episode many times but there is a scene you can edit from transformers Headmasters eps. 2 to add to episode 99.. At 1:04 before Galvatron and Zarak planning their attack on Cybertron. In this story mode Galvatron order his Decepticons ambush Hot rod and blaster in the north pole...

Did you watch the episode Dark Awakening. All the bodies of the dead Autobots were destroyed when the tomb they were in exploded. No actual way they could have returned.

The dead autobots were supposed to be reactivated as ACtion Masters by using a new source of power called Nucleon.
it doesnt quite fit in generation 1 continuity.
The only part that doesn't really fit is the Arc still being in that mountain, since both the mountain and the Arc were destroyed at the beginning of season 3, but other than that, it seems to fit pretty well.🙂

Well done. To be honest, I almost forgot about this project.
So it's a series of 8-10 minute episodes, which means fan animation has still to break 10 minute barrier (I saw a 14-minutes TF animation, but it wasn't something with a plot). Do you have a schedule?
I don't think Hasbro would react - they seem busy enough with making something new to bother about the first series, even with the anniversary coming up. Besides, having fan-made conclusion really solves the problem (and some other group can make another version for those who wouldn't like this - as you said, making animation is not that hard now). We have Scramble City 2 for ages, but that didn't bring any official one. The only similar situation I know is Regeneration 1.
And I'm really glad the show is going on, even unofficially.
Doing something like this takes so much time. Its unbelievable how much time. Putting together scenes just a few minutes long can take HOURS. and that is just the picture part, then you have to add music, voices, special effects/sounds. Doing it all by one person is crazy. It would be so nice if teams could be made to handle different things. Its a lot of time and dedication put into it. Hats off to you C-mac / fantastic films

I know what you are talking about - in last 5 years I made over 50 10-minute G1-like motion comics (and all alone), and it really takes several hours to animate even with all character models and backgrounds ready (which could take weeks). Right now I have to ignore sound effects and voices, and more, so audio team would be a dream (sudden Whelie impression). I think we could start sharing our experience, works and ways of doing things somewhere, because there is great potential withing the fandom. Or even assist each other with our projects.

Thanks. This is actually the shortest episode. The rest are all 10 - 15 mins. There's 13 episodes in the works but we need more people on board to complete them in any reasonable time.

well Primus is the plasma energy chamber whom the Quintesson use in building the transformers bodies and primacon did his part creating primus energy and transformers designs ... hmm this would be a lot work for fantic films in the return of Optimus prime saga plus a origin story while Optimus explores the matrix for the answer to the crisis on Cybertron ..wow this would why better and i seen the 2 part story and it sorta makes no sense and a lot of plot holes and the hate plaque but i am trying to image the quintasson reusing the time window again from Forever is a long time to retrieve prime's body from the command ship before it was destroy ...
this the best work ever but you should add a scene from headmaster eps. 1 where Daniel and wheele trick tripitcon to cross a small bridge that scene makes me laugh but u guys do a good job in the transformers project ...
