    Hi, First of all, congrat for your channel, I really like your info! Question, I will film my first wedding reception. The bride will use a DJ with towered lights, do I need external lights anyways? Can I use a ZHIYUN FIVERAY M40 Video Light, 40W in my gimbal? Or is better standlights?

      I believe the wide shot was a a6400 + 9mm Laowa. The moving shot was a A73 + Rokinon 85 t1.5.

      The light is bi-color, 3200 or 5500 so I just set my white balance as close as possible. I also use an app called 'Kev WB' which helps as well. Thanks for the sub!

      @iamwannabefilmmaker 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RaphealPersaud you have the ml60? Yeeeaaahhh nice. If you can this would be an interesting video for run and gun wedding filmmakers. The lighting situation is a hustle for me Wright now I don't have much time to set up everything only a few minutes. that's means my plan is to have 2 small lights light and compact in a bag pack take it out place it on 3pod push the button... Ready! Greek weddings last in the churche about an hour that means I need every time cords for electricity 😁. Thanks for answering

    instead of using stabilizer like zhiyun?

    • @RaphealPersaud
      @RaphealPersaud  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Monopod/handheld shots give a different look which I like. It's also less hassle than using a gimbal. However, I have been using gimbals in my recent videos. Check them out and see what you think! th-cam.com/video/ubDvE4b4MB8/w-d-xo.html

    Loving the content Rapheal, keep it up! I have a quick question. When you set up these lights are you constantly changing the color temperatures based off the locations? How do you decide which temperature to set it at? Is it based off of the cameras white balance reading and then setting the light to match the cameras white balance?

    • @RaphealPersaud
      @RaphealPersaud  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I set my color temperature based on the light. I usually use the light at 5500-5600 (daylight) so that’s what I set the camera color temperature to. Sometimes you have to fiddle with the camera color temperature when you have different lighting situations but I just eye ball it at that point. I’m learning about a camera app that reads the temperatures for you so it’s more direct and less guessing.

      No more than 50% to be honest. This light is way too much at 100%. Guests might get annoyed at how bright It is so you have to be considerate.
