My four different DIY saddle hunting platforms. Build them yourself.

A short video with all of these in one place. They will all be back in trees by Sept. They are all made from different components and cost much less than the current crop of "store bought" saddle hunting platforms.

I made one of these with the lone wolf seat. Do you have much slop in the platform? I used the nylon spacers it came with but it seems to twist when weight shifts.

These are easily shimmed with the right size washers. I had some in house and found the right ones easily. I`m sorry but I don`t remember what size they were.

If you are interested I believe thats a good question .I'm surprised no one else has asked yet so good for you. They platforms are made from mobility scooter foot rests. They are both from shoprider scooters obtained on eb.

Xop and lone wolf are not the same company. However, same founder. Xop are made in China.

1.25 `` 1/8 square aluminum . 9`` long . The LW platform is tapered and has a softer feel underfoot. the XOP is more stiff. Both handle side loads well with LW batwing cleats or I make my own and they work better. Goog luck and keep the questions coming.

I just put one on my luggage scale and it was 3.4 lbs . That's without a strap which of course would vary according to choice.
