The paved area with a minimal pergola is something I've seen in garden shows. The upper deck is pretty but comical with the low-end plastic grass and the high-end glass walls. As always, it's obvious the designers don't think a lot about maintenance. The plants here are low-maintenance but the glass and plastic panels will be the opposite. And I wonder why they use tropical woods all the time? Use local cedar and stain it!
Another success. I love the way you’ve left under the deck open. Hate to see them blocked in with planks of wood. Nice the way the end of the garden is left natural. 👌
First design I don't love. The stainless railings are beautiful, but don't fit the house as well as the curvy railings on the house. The could have been much cheaper and same orange as the one on the house. I do love the orange panel, but feel there should be 3, not two. And I wonder about dirt and condensation between the sandwiched panels they used to tone down the orange. I feel the arbors should be stained. The raw wood doesn't do it for me. And I love the curved front on the house, couldn't they have incorporated something in the backyard to tie in? Too many squares. The paving pattern won't look great in a few years. Something with staggered joints will be more forgiving with freeze-thaw cycling.

Oh dear - hate the panels - especially the screaming colour combination, but also the impracticality. Still the clients were happy - they really did want outdoor rooms and they were really not interested in plants at all ...
I guess I must be stupid, because we have Ipe on our outdoor stairs and they've performed beautifully with very little maintenance. Ipe is used outdoors extensively.

If it is pressure treated wood they might have to wait a year to stain it
Stainless steel gets hot and cold and hurts the skin. Too much in one place in bright sun hurts the eyes. Not a good choice in my book.
