    I own several Pelican cases, these things are excellent cases. Great warranty (guaranteed for Life) & made in the USA, far better than those cheap chinese knockoffs from Harbor Freight.

    I have the 1650 and the 1630. I keep my emergency bag in the 1650 in the back of my vehicle, and I chain the Pelican to the frame so it can’t easily be stolen. Pretty much fool proof against smash and grab - most thieves don’t carry bolt cutters.

    For anyone that doesn’t want to spend 230 for a case. Harbor freight has Apache cases that are direct competitors of pelicans the Apache 5800 at 99.99 is a replacement for the 1510 so it’s slightly smaller however your not spending 230 for it. You could buy 2 for that same cost.

    • @SkidVicious1971
      @SkidVicious1971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd suggest otherwise. Everything I've bought from harbor freight had a short life. From tarps to bungee cords to sledgehammer. All have either worn out prematurely or broke. Nothing but Chinese made crap

      @N0body247 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Raver Magik so a lifetime warranty on junk. But it's still junk. Case in point- splitting logs with their splitting maul. Cutting edge wasn't sharp so i took it to the grinder. 20 minutes later and it was sharp enough. Metal head cracked in half after 4 hours of use. Went back to store, 20 minutes, back home, 20 minutes and then to the local Ace hardware store for a name brand which was another 30 minutes. So an hour and a half of my time spent on a $25 ax that broke and wasn't even sharp to begin with? Hard, hard pass on all things harbor freight

    I think it's funny that you mention the ventalator things can be removed and thats an indicator that that nonsense is all behind us. The bigger indicator to me is that Pelican is actually trying to sell this imperfect product and did not even bother taking the tags off themselves. Perspective I guess.

    • @Enough_Tumbleweed
      @Enough_Tumbleweed 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think its funnier that you can get a brand new one for $270 and they're selling these for $250.
      So for a savings of $20 you can get a case thats been beat to hell and has its foam ruined for something you can't even use it for. By the time you buy new foam for it, you could have bought the new one and probably even saved a few bucks.

    So not only is it not new.. it's foam is useless for anything else.. the case has a hole in it.. and all that.. Even with the Club price and the sootch discount.. add in replacement foam from Pelican and it's now $300. New from Pelican is like $275 and you can get 10% off straight from them. This is way overpriced from Sportsmans Guide. Maybe if it was $99 but at this price, no way.
