Your daughter sounds exactly like my 18 month old baby now. Love that you are open about not dealing so well with the meltdowns sometimes. I feel your pain. I am also trying to be more patient. Would love to know how she is doing with food now and if the melt downs have increased or gotten better?

I don’t know if it’s because of blw but my 18month old eats everything for the most part! I’ve never given him any sweet treats yet or juices and mostly feed him whole foods so he doesn’t know that there is a “more fun” alternative. But I know every kid is different!
Toddler life. My baby girl is 13.5 months and it took me four times and two days to finish watching this video. LOL!

I remember watching your ttc video when i was trying last month! my period came late and i got positive tests from various brands. Just waiting for doctor appointment now but just wanted to say thank you for all your tips! My mom passed away when i was 23 so I rely heavily on videos for information etc !
I love that you mention the BENEFITS to screen time. My daughter is the same way she has such an amazing vocabulary at 16 months (75+ words tbh I lost track) and I attribute that to her shows.

i did purées then a mix of both BLW/purées. then fully BLW. my 15 month old eats anything and everything. he just recently he’s been playing with his food more than eating it. but still eats most things. try BLW! i fully believe that’s why my son eats so much and so good

Same here. It’s the most worrisome thing I’ve ever experienced. We even had him evaluated through the state today to check on his development.
How do you manage to keep decorative stuff like plant or vases at home my toddler throws everything away 😰

Oh, she is so cute and you poor baby, I feel for you that you were not able to drag out her two nap a day habit longer or get her to sleep two hours or more for her one nap per day. That's a lot of toddler energy to be dealing with all day long. She is in constant motion, too, so you'd think getting tireder at midday. Babies are so unaccustomed to solid food when you give it to them at first that there is no way to know that they will not be fine with something that is prepared differently or presented raw or is given to them to try again a few months down the road. They often accept things at different times. Like maybe they do not like the feel of peanut butter at 6 months, but by 18 months it's quite a treat, esp. with jelly or on banana or apple. Egg is protein, as is cottage cheese and any cheese she may like. She's still getting milk which helps. Up until the age of 2 the extra milk is fine in terms of protein and fats. I assume she has water with meals in her sippy cup. She looks really healthy and flexible and alert and active. Other people do it because they haven't family-planned. Ideally it would be best to wait until one child is potty-trained and, though a toddler, not still so much of a baby really before having a newborn. You will have a lot on your hands, esp. because she does not follow instructions. But you are young and strong. She may not be so happy about having the competition for anyone's attention. How many hours work do you have to get done from home everyday: housework, TH-cam, merchandizing, etc.?
I know your little girl is older now, but for your second child I highly recommend little spoons toddler meals. My son absolutely loves just about every meal they make

She is just the cutest kid! My son is now 15 months old and has meltdowns like these atleast 10 times a day..I have also not done BLW with him and it makes me very nervous and I am scared that he will eat purees till he is 5 yrs old... he eats those melty puffs, pieces of cookies, and some small pieces of boiled carrots etc. But no big pieces... How did you get Riley to transition to table food ? Please help!
Ur doing great job I have a two year old and she is the same she uses all her vocals 😂 when she is not please but hey at the end it's all worth it, just take it day by day

Omgosh I'm pregnant and I'm due in the end of November. I've worked with special needs kids my whole career but this video makes me a little nervous to have a toddler.
Question though.. Why do you go to your DOCTOR for diet advice?
Alex LG hahaha having a toddler is insane! And I talk to her pediatrician at her visits about her diet because she usually has some great advice about getting little ones to eat. Riley’s been really difficult in that department 🤦🏼♀️

hellow mommy can you pls help us we have 18mos old baby but our prob is he is always woke up in midnight like in bet 2 am to 5am he always want milk after we gave milk he woke up again till 3x to 4x you said mommy she was slept for 8 pm to 8 am what do you think we need to do about my son

Absolutely new to your channel - Quick question, does Riley wake at all during her 12 hour night sleep? for changing (or breast feeding if you still do) or just cause she gets fussy? Also , you said that she has some level of screen time - what was your "screen time policy" like for Riley?
If she likes mashed potatoes, try mixing a small piece of meat inside the potatoes. (on a fork or spoon) and let her eat that. I have to hide some meat sometimes too. It might be a texture thing. My daughter is 22 months now and is finally starting to eat a little more meat on her own. Just give it time. I know the tantrums are hard. Hang in there momma.
"I can't get drunk cause I'm pregnant. So that makes tantrums a bit more difficult." Sooo, I'm not pregnant at the moment so it's ok to get drunk around my year and a half child? (Sorry :) ) :D

I've read that watched movies before 2 years is bad. my 18 month old now watches only toy story and I feel it delayed his talking. 😫
It’s bad if you put them in front of the tv all day and don’t interact with them. If they get enough one on one time with you, a little screen time won’t hurt! 💙
My daughter is 16 months. Her and Riley are so alike lol especially with the 1 hour naps 😅The toddler meltdowns are hard 😩 I’m also struggling with not taking them personal. Thanks for being so relatable! ♥️
My little girl will be 18 months in a few weeks I love that Riley is in the exact same phase as her. It’s so cool to see another toddler of the same age and hear her routines and whatnot to compare to my own. Love these updates!!
