Can I just say: You are a frickin rockstar for still nursing him! I remember when he was first born and all the trouble you had with his reflux and how you would be so consistent with pumping and keeping your supply. Way to go!

Jackson is doing so well,my daughter is 14 months, only child and because of covid 19 has never mixed with kids,I think this has effected her.She is not walking unaided yet,she says three words, she sleep 11 hours and has only had one nap in the day sonce she was 11 months(2 hours),I spend alot of time doing activities that will help her, shape sorted, colours etc,but with books its hard she just wants to eat them x

Yes, this was my daughter around 12/13months but since expanding our Covid circle she gets to see her cousins more and that helped her walk more. It is hard for now that we can't do play dates 😪

Doesn't walk unassisted and I'm constantly getting hounded by my family because of it 🤦🏽‍♀️I'm hoping he starts walking on his own soon. He only says mama, dada, and tickle lol. He never interacts with any kids either :/

hey, I'm so glad I subscribed to this channel. My son is 13 months. Although he has been walking since 10 months, his speech is a bit slow in coming. Its really encouraging to know that im not the only one with these fears. I do what I can and like Kayla i repeat nd hope he eventually catches on.

I am so, so happy to hear from a mum who has had a baby who sounds like he may have struggled with weight gain? My little girl has been sick for lots of her life and I find it really hard watching a lot of peoples vlogs with huge babies and speedy development. It's so nice to jus listen to someone in a similar position - thank you!

So crazy to see Jackson so big. I remember I found your channel when my daughter was a newborn & Jackson was also a newborn and you were dealing with all of the same issues with him I was dealing with her & that’s why I subscribed and stuck around! Lol. I needed to know I wasn’t alone in my struggles with my daughter & it gave me a lot of comfort to see someone else going through the exact same challenges. Anyway, so fun to see these kiddos thriving now & I’m still so in love with your content! 😌

A sleep consultant, who we've had loads of help from, said that most children are ready to transition to 1 nap at 15...18 months. And at that point the nap should be at least 2 hours. I'm actually looking forward to one good long nap rather than two. My son is now 10 month old ❤️ Jackson is adorable 😍

Mine is about 2 weeks older than Jackson and just started transitioning himself to one nap. It is still rough since he hasn’t figured out great timing, but most days that nap is at least 2+ hours, so at least that is the good thing. But I think the one nap is coming for Jackson too...

He only needs one nap now. This is why he refuses to sleep at times. If you put him down after lunch about 1 he will for sure sleep for two hours. Gives you a longer stretch to do what you have to do. I have a 15 month old boy a three year old and a 4year old and 20 weeks preg. This all worked with my kids found it better tbh

If you're wanting to stop nursing in the next few months I would recommend stopping by 17 months. My son is 20 months now and is still nursing and at 18 months when he starting asking for it and really paying attention to when he could nurse made it way more difficult to stop. Now I don't know how to stop :(

My oldest didn’t start talking until after he turned 2. He said some words other than Mama and Dada. Thankfully we signed with him, so that made things easier. He was definitely inclined to communicate that way compared to our second who will be 15 months, soon. Potty training kickstarted his speech at 2 years 3 months old.
My almost 15 month old doesn’t seem into signing. He’s more verbal! Today he tried saying “Food” and “Cheese.” He’s already said at least a few other words aside from Mama and Dada. Every child is definitely different. I’d say, don’t worry about him not talking. He could very well start after he turns 2. I think as he reaches 3 years old, that’s when you want to get him into speech therapy.

My son is 15 months old today he wakes up around 7am goes for a 2-3 hour nap at 11 then goes back to bed at 7pm. He sleeps all night and that break in the day of 2-3 hours really makes a difference to my day and what I can get done. Jackson is just like my son with the temper tantrums, the walking and the talking. He's a stunner Riley too xx

And a tip for the skin! My son has the exact same thing and no lotion I tried did anything.. We live in a country where winters are really cold and air is really dry. What helped a ton was putting a humidifier in their room every night. The redness has been sooo much better since we started doing that 😊 maybe worth trying out?

For any mamas out there, what worked for me transitioning from breast milk (I exclusively pumped for a year) to cows milk was to slowly replace an ounce of bm with cows milk every few days until the bottle has been replaced to completely cows milk.

As for naps, my almost 15 month old went down to one nap sometime after he turned a year old. I almost want to say he actually dropped it at 11 months. SOMETIMES he catches an extra nap if he didn’t sleep well at night for some reason. His nap is generally in the late morning. I usually put him down for a nap at least 3-4 hours after he wakes up (6:30am wake up -> 10:30pm nap). He usually naps for almost 3 hours.

Lol I'm glad I found this video. My son is 14 and a half months, has been walking since 9 and a half months, and I had a lady comment the other day that he didn't look old enough to be walking. I just smiled at her, but part of me wanted to say, "Would you believe he's 2?" Other than the age for walking, and the pointing (that hasn't started yet except to poke and prod and SMACK my chest when he wants to eat), your son at 15 months and mine at almost 15 months are at pretty similar developments. We're still in size 3, too. I keep expecting to need to upsize, but this is probably the 6th box. I was a tiny little girl, too, so I wasn't expecting him to get very big very fast.

Hey, just wanted to say that I love your videos. I feel like you are really real and show all the good and bad things about being a mother and raising kids, and all the struggles that come with it. I have a son too and am a first time mom. He is 8 month now, and he is really much like your son Jackson, I feel like. He has always had a problem with sleeping, is a catnapper, doesn't take a pacifier, and dealt with colic and reflux when he was younger. Oh and he is a skinny baby too. So we are currently trying to fatten him up. We also did sleep training, and that has worked out so great. He now sleeps through the night (11-12 hours) but is just beginning to extend some og his naps. I feel very much inspired by your videos and the things you do with Jackson. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. I will keep following you for sure. 😊♥️

Yes please flim a video on how your getting him to talk. My little one is nearly 15 months and not saying any word yet. I'm worried. I know it's partly my fault I'm alone with him all day and I'm not a big talker, I like silence and I'm always trying to do stuff around the house that I don't prioritize time to sit with him. Partly also because unlike Jackson my little one wants to tear the books up and most times fights me and I lose my patience. I want to do better I feel like a complete failure.

Anyways, I’m glad this video was real, and not glamorized like some are. My 15 month old is also doing all of these things, so this made me feel good! He started walking around 13 months, but doesn’t say full on words yet.
You mentioned your daughter saying a bunch of words at that point, which, I have a friends who has a daughter born the same time, and she isn’t walking yet but she is speaking clear words like hat, duck, and apple, and my son is not. I also heard that girls tend to learn words a lot easier than boys, but maybe learn to walk a bit later. So don’t fret, anyone.

Side note: My daughter had those red bumps, our doctor recommended showing her every 3 days and just wiping her clean at night and add lotion. It has worked so well. We do add cornstarch to her belly after we lotion her because she gets bumpy there more often.

On the boardwalk is also a cool place for preschool/elementary and up kids that they can go in a big “hamster ball” and run around in a little pool of water! Adults too!!

He is so adorable!!! Have you tried switching out all of your products to unscented ones? we use soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotions and creams all with out any type of parfume in them 🛁🧴
Also detergent and blech with no scent ☺️
Glad to see you all doing so well ❤️ i have a boy of almost 3 and a baby girl of 7 months, so almost the same age gap.

Great video! I would love to see more outside videos. Also you should do the child interview with Riley. Its the one where you ask a bunch of questions like you have to ask her your age. It will always be something to look back on. Blessings to you in the family. I believe these are the questions All about My Mom
    1. How old is your Mom?
    2. What is your Mom's favorite color?

Hi Kayla, I am going to recommend you a cream for his skin. we had the exact same situation with my son who is 15 months as well. I used this cream since he was one. Now those bumps on his face and hand are not red anymore and they are WAY less than before. It’s called “Aveeno baby eczema therapy, night time balm”. Worked for me. Give it a shot.

I get those bumps on the back of my arms. I was told by my doctor it is an intolerance to gluten (not an allergy or something that makes me sick). When I cut gluten out, they go away. Worth a try to test & see if that works

I just want to say that I have postponed the 2 naps for quite a while and now I regret it because after cutting one nap we are only having 1 nap a day and it's duble the usual nap time. My daughter has the same sleep situation as Jackson and she is 14 months old now. I can only say give it a go 👍👍🤗😘

Hi! Have you considered getting an allergy test for Jackson? My 12months old struggles with eczema. It’s controlled now but when she eats something she’s allergic to, she flares up and gets red on her face mostly.

    • @zeenathussain6630
      @zeenathussain6630 3 ปีที่แล้ว

My daughter suffered with terrible food allergies and her eczema started coming out on her face when she was between 10 weeks old. We all suffered so much seeing her go through the pain with all the eczema. From food allergy testing and skin prick tests we found out that she’s allergic to wheat, soya, dairy from all mammal, oats, all tree nuts, salmon and many other foods including some lentils like chick peas.
Her skin all cleared up by using Dr Arons Eczema treatment which is amazing.

Oh my yes, the temper tantrums with my 13 month old son.🤦🏻‍♀️
Idk if this would help anyone, but we thought my son didn't like milk. It turned out he just didn't like it cold. If we warm it up and put it in a sippy cup, he'll drink it with no issue.😊

Oh I wish I knew it was common for kids to not do some of these things by 12 months. I took my son to his 12m appt in Feb and his pediatrician had me so stressed that my son wasn't yet saying any real words yet or pointing or waving. Almost 2 months later and he has 3 words and waves and points now

Is walking at 14 months considered late? I thought that milestone is usually in the range of 11-18 months, so based on that I personally wouldn’t say he is a late walker, but maybe I am wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay so my son is on the opposite end he's like in his terrible 2s early! I'd been worried because he moved so fast the Doctors never have any recommendations for me he has all his teeth he's talking, running, climbing, it's honestly scary for me he's my first and he's on another level to where I'm lost as to how to help continue him developing instead of regressing. He's so far ahead i feel ill equipped as to what to do.

My baby just turned 12 months and she’s 20.4lbs. Size 4 diapers are humongous on her 😂 we dropped back down to 3’s because I didn’t want to deal with leaks. I think they start at like 22lbs so maybe we’ll try again in a couple months.
