- In this video I do through the procedure of realigning the modules using the Autel MS908.
This is basically waking up a new module that was installed.
Note, that there may be other issues causing the odometer to flash.

Great videos can you tell me which autel scanner would work best for me for my personal vehicles 2013 Jeep 2007 Jeep and my wife’s Toyota camery 2016 just want one that can not just reset codes but start things for checking like cooling fan any fuel pump ect ect and maybe relearn after changing parts . Any ideas I was planning on $1000

I have a thinkdiag and I'm unable to get the flashing odometer to stop. I've done the proxyalignment but it says fail. It has to do with the radio.
I replaced the odometer for 2015 chrysler 200 , and it strat flashing . Do the steps help ?!
I got a flat tire on my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and put on the spare. I got back in and the odometer was flashing and the backup camera stopped working. 4100 miles. Off to the dealer.

its hard to say, i would check your local shops and see if there is a reputable place that deals with electrical faults.
Could this happen from disconnecting the battery for a long time like during a repair?
anything is possible, ive seen dodge/jeep/ram have various issues after prolonged periods.
I have a 2021 Jeep Cherokee and after being in an accident the collision shop couldn't stop it. The dealer didn't think it was a big deal. Should I go back to the dealer or collision shop!?
this should be brought back to the body shop and your insurance contacted, it is not your responsibility to get this fix it is theirs.
Can this error or anything associated with it in anyway possibly change the miles on the vehicle?
no, not unless a part that is change stores the mileage.

unless they use decent scan tool.. no.
typically all they use is code readers.
@@JLsAutoSolution thanks. I looked at a forum and learned that unplugging the negative battery terminal for 15 mins does the trick and it worked for me.

If you replaced the a/c module then yes this process is necessary

Probably needs an aftermarket radio module and programming. Or go back to a factory radio and programming. Diagnosing this issue now on our used inventory. I bet this aftermarket radio needs a module to stop the flashys.

more annoying, but indicates that there is an issue on the vehicle.
What type of scanner do you use?
I used the autel, IM508 AND 908
and also the Xtool D8 bluetooth
I did the same thing and the odometer started flashing again after a couple drive cycles.
I believe I mention in the video that this happens when a module is new and needs to be aligned or when a module is not working on the network.
This could happen for multiple reasons, so diagnosing why is key.
Can this be done bi a good mechanic shop or do I have to take it to the dealer ,thank you

Everything was fine until I removed a outlet fuse. The next morning I cranked my Jeep and the wipers were on with the odometer blinking
First question... Why did you remove the fuse?
Did removing the fuse fix your issue?
Now, the flashing odometer means that there is a module that has not been programmed or lost its programming, so it me be reprogrammed and/or be realigned on the network.
@JL's Auto Solution The outlet fuse in the console was blown. I didn't have a clue that a simple fuse replacement would make a vehicle go out of wack. I'll be taking it by dealership Monday. I got a feeling they're going to try to rip me off with replacing all kinds of new parts🤦🏽♂️
I did this no the car has no communication
this procedure will not cause a no communication as it is only made to align the module on the network.
I got the same problem and right now transmission Shifter light on.
TAKE IT TO YOUR JEEP DEALERSHIP . All they need to do is reprogram VIN and vehicle option configuration into the module and that will fix it! It happened to me just last week . The dealership charged me $180 for diagnostic and that’s it
that cost the customer what? 200 lol
Chrysler/Fiat is junk. hope you all learned something for your time and money lol
