Man, I'm so aggravated at Conan right now. I lost everything 3 hours just gone, lol. I finally made it to the snow, and I didn't think the cold would kill you that fast. So I stayed on the outskirts of the mountain and got my ass beat by some bird looking things, lol. I really like this game. I just got to keep watching your videos. That's the only reason I got anywhere today on the game. Well everyone have a great day.
Dang, that sucks. :/ Hopefully you were able to recover from the death. To survive in the cold, you shouldn’t need too much to survive in most areas. Just make sure you have at least some armor. The Coarse armor made from fiber should be enough if you don’t have anything better… just get yourself a helmet and a torch. Also get a ton of aloe leaves (hundreds) so that you can keep healing yourself in the extremely cold places. And only craft 10 at a time cause it weighs less that way. And if you can get some spicy food from the frost giants or by cooking it, you’ll be ok anywhere in the cold. Hope this helps a bit!
Oooo a new player. Make a grindstone then put all the fiber you can grab into it and that produces spice then use the spice on any meat and that should get you through the cold. But for longer stays your gonna need better armor. You can make it or farm it from NPCs around the Mounds of the Dead. Continue to enjoy Conan
Yeah you shouldn't need much to survive many places besides some basic armor. If nothing else just bring a bunch of Aloe leaves with you and just tank all of the damage you receive from the cold by healing. But doing that could slow your progress to traveling wherever it is your going. Also bring a bed roll so incase for instant you do have Frostbite and about to die, you dont have to worry about losing much (provided you can build or place down wherever you are). So instead as a new player if you want to go to the colder areas, it could be worthwhile to farm either sorcerer's skulls to get Obulus Coins to trade in for some decent legendary weapons at Caravans or you can farm gold and such, trade for items that way. Then from there, with your new gear, kill some frost giants for some spicy food. If none of that sounds appealing, learning the stove and cooking the spicy food is next best thing.

6:46, they are man traps. I 've used tho to prevent jump attacks. Today people forget that before bats, you could still raid bubble pillar bases without trebs or stripping anti. Just build a diving board and practice jumping on as a naked outside raid hours. Mantraps I used would normally be fillled with spikes or landmines. The landmines were to blow up yog\jheb. I'm sure Zelo knows how to 'land' on angled surfaces for zero damage, but for anyone interested, here is a tip from a multithousand hour solo. Put down three tall hey stacks overlapping, and jump in the middle... from any height. Notice the lack of damage (I would put those around pillar bases and make it look like an RP fixture. Then jump off and land. For raid defense you could put them all around the outside , spaced in just the right position to land in at sprinting speed as you can run straight through the middle of cren. You can do similar things with ramps oof tiles and if you want hex shaped triangles for the landing 'pod', but hey stacks are the least obvious form of fall trap.

Server is kinda quiet with only a half dozen or so active players. Two of them are very new to the game, the rest won't go into chat. Sandstone bases down south show signs of being scouted but not broken into, and the bases up north have damage from previous raids and the timers are fresh, the owners are still around. One large base in the crevice and one outside of New Asagarth. Makes me wonder if it's feuding neighbors.
When they pull your hitbox, hide your weapon, make sure you have nothing in your hands, it seems the exploit works only if the target is holding a weapon in its hands.
That actually worked! It’s how I was able to survive and make it to my pyramid before dying. I stood in place with my weapons put away and he wasn’t able to deal damage until he got close to me.
Last Stand would have definitely came in handy in that fight, but I prefer Glutton for Punishment more, haha. The healing after taking damage is just an amazing benefit for 1v1s.

Aah, black lotus is also very good, just be careful with base defense if you die and have to drink it again bc it makes you thirsty and it affects a lot of your stamina in the first few minutes. I’m solo player too mostly of the time I am peaceful like you and I never attacked first but to fight against big clans we don't have many options lol Use the efficient harvest in expertise, the same method to get 2 zathite bags (1st hit pick 2nd hit ritual tool) it doesn't work every time but mostly you get 2 instead of 1 If eventually you’re on Siptah map use the sigil of the gremlin (sometimes you can get 6 god favor using it) Normally i farm it in populated areas to make it faster the black galleon or buccaneer when the server is not busy. 500 zeals to summon an avatar plus the zeals for the altar upgrades. But the point is hide the altar and only upgrade to T3 when you’re crafting the coin 1:10 h before the raid hours. It doesn't give someone time to destroy it T3 altar appears on the map and the coin that comes to your inventory as well so be careful (official server 1h crafting time for the coin and 10 min to T2~T3 altar) Build a small box near the target to protect you with full vitality and gas mask, and pray you don't get disconnected 😂 This is an amazing experience on Conan and i'm sure it will make your heart beat faster I fought a 7 men clan months ago the gods helped me a lot… and that was a long text 😅 sorry hahaha
@@Zelosykes Expanding on this, you can fake people out with throwing axes. With Controller Style Movement on, they don’t care which direction you’re facing, you can turn your back to the enemy and still throw it in their direction. I’ve faked retreats and turned fights around this way.
Nice one, Should get used to watching for thier last stand, timing your recovery when that activates then soon as it pops going for the finish, also if use a roll too switch weapons you can hide the emote and its also a quicker way to switch weapons, nice work man love the vids
Great observation on your part! Through many of these fights I wasn’t keeping track of their Last Stand and I kept swinging thinking that maybe my hits weren’t registering. It wasn’t until later that I realized it was the perk, lol! How long does the perk last? I’m gonna try and time it next time like you said. And thank you bro. Appreciate the comment.
@Zelosykes lasts about 10 seconds, activates when under 50% it's something u need to track religiously, if they are smart they will try spam u while it's on but if they noob they will hide, the idea of it is to protect solo from multiple attackers at once and give them a chance to get away. Most people don't run last stand in 1 v 1 because glutten just repairs hp so much, but when expecting multiple attackers it really is the go. Once I activate someone's last stand it's all hands on deck, especially if u in crew, moment it activates you call it out, then everyone swarms that person and the moment it drops your all in. I also noticed you roll alot, try your hardest not to roll, against experienced pvper they going to watch your rolls and time your stamina, I try use rolls to switch weapons and if I absolutely have to avoid an attack or create some distance, practice the sprint function and misdirection, bit like when you pot up and try dodge, just do that but with sprint, save the stamina for attacks. I was taught fighting Kacey the other youtuber pvper. Other than that mate doing pretty frigging good dude
Amazing, brother! Good info, thank you. I will begin tracking that Last Stand now that I’m aware of it! And yeah, I have always had a bad habit of rolling too much and thankfully it’s gotten better. It used to be so much worse, lmao! I have been practicing the weapon switch roll, but I have noticed sometimes it doesn’t work on laggy servers and it won’t take out the weapon… or maybe my timing is just off. Kacey has an incredible Great Axe game. I saw a video of him defending a raid… it was amazing to see how smooth he was with it. But thanks again, brother. I’ll keep practicing more and more and cleaning up my flaws.
The axe definitely looks interesting. Very fast and wide attacks. Does anyone use katanas in PVP now days? While it does seem slow for pvp with multiple opponents, the low stamina cost lets you attack and roll a lot more than people expect.
The Great Axe is so satisfying to use, haha. I actually used to hate it because I didn’t understand how to use it so I never used it. But then… this big clan joined my old server and they all used Great Axes… and I was forced to learn it to be able to fight them and now I love it. It’s become my second favorite weapon. I don’t see katanas very often tbh. Most people that run agility builds just stick with daggers instead cause it’s easier.

Some people say EU is good but I'm in NA currently in a PVE Conflict server because I work and go to college. I dont have time to constantly monitor or worry about my base getting wiped while I'm offline and such but I still enjoy fighting other players and even during PVP time there's always like 36 to 38 people on at any given time in my PVE Conflict server. You can never truly predict a server's population but then again this game is pretty top heavy so there's that too.

Yo i dont play conan but i play other games of this typeish... rust, ark, so i can 100000% agree and love the feeling of finding abandoned/decayed bases... its almost like gambling like oooooo will this box have anything or just trashhhhh lol i love your style of of commentating and overall feel of your videos. It's also a criminal act that you only have 3k subs my guy, your chill nature, attitude and just you can tell you're not a fulltime mega conan chad just shitting on everyone and this isnt a comment on your skill just you clearly have a good understanding of the game but dont flex too much you know? Hey bro, thanks for watching! I was using the Star Metal Great Axe. If you haven’t used it yet, you should try it. It’s so fun to use once you get the hang of it. As for build, I usually run a solo PvP build. 15 Str 15 Agi 20 Vit and 10 Grit. My main weapons are the Ancient Lemurian Trident (with Kingslayer Polearm transmog) and the Star Metal Great Axe. For armor… Light Silent Legion helmet, chest piece, and leggings. Dragonhide bracers and boots. I’m trying out a few other armors right now, I’ll let you know if I find something else.
I know… it was really surprising to see how empty it was. I been scouting a lot lately on the new server and I have noticed a lot of bases are completely empty inside. It’s weird.
So this is totally unrelated to your video but I really want to rant.. I play conan for 6 hours a day 7 days a week Religiously And when I say I learn something new every time I play😮, I really do. So I created a Base At the end of a long a** bridge right above The unnamed city. There is a nice little lake with a boss croc Right under me. So I am cleaning up this base on the outside getting rid of unnecessary foundation and I accidentally accidentally remove all the foundation underneath My volt and the decay timer went down. So I build a new area for my vote and I return the Volt to inventory all the items would not fit in my inventory and I ended up. Losing over Four thousand magi skulls that I had from the last exploit that they patched, Twelve stacks of steel reinforcement, Seven stacks of insulated wood, over a hundred fragments fragments of power, thralls, and so much more... So I definitely learned a lesson about Putting volts back into your inventory. Well that was my rant and I wanna Thank you if you took the time to read this
I started playing this on console, I quit though. Had logged out with a good spear I had bought but when I logged back in someone hacked into the lil small base I build to log out just to take my spear an swap it with a sickle like okay
The community for this game is so good. There's so much respect and restraint. The clan could wipe you off the server if they wanted but they don't because they know the community is scarce and they want as many people as possible for pvp/rp/memes. I think this game is better than Rust in terms of content and community. On Rust the whole point is to troll and grief and make people mad. But pvp on conan is all about fun. Of course there's always those outliers like the people who camp outside your base with claws but every game has that fringe sub community of trolls and griefers
While I’m new to this game, I’m familiar with stash bases in other games and it’s really just basic stuff. Hidden = not easily spotted. That’s all. Find a nice out of the way spot and you’re good to go. The guy could show you all the great out of the way spots on a video, but then everyone would know them and they wouldn’t be good hidden spots anymore. Good luck!
Hey man, ive been playing for about a week now and im having trouble finding people to play with, do you know of any site in which I can go to find people to play with? The game is pretty overwhelming and im afraid of going solo ngl.
Yeah, thralls are pretty useless now. They were severely nerfed and are extremely easy to kill now. For me personally though, I’m not a fan of thralls in PvP combat (they get in the way more than anything) so even if they were still good, I wouldn’t rely on one.
In Conan PvP, Sinkhole is the most popular spot for PvP. It’s usually where a lot of people/clans go to fight and that’s why a lot of people will setup a pyramid base there.
Yeah, it’s tough being solo in these types of games because you’re always at a disadvantage, but it’s also a ton of fun cause it forces you to play the game differently in order to survive.
Sorry for the late comment. Pyramids are used for defense. If you’re in a battle and you start running low on health, you can just jump down your pyramid from the top. Your enemy you’re fighting will usually not follow you because if they jump down, they’ll get stuck due to the anti climb fences. Hope that makes sense.

Best feeling in Conan is finding a decayed base. Even if you find nothing. Feels good to clean up a server.

Get some throwing axes. When your opponent tries to run and heal, it will stop the heal and cripple them.

I was using the Star Metal Great Axe. If you haven’t used it yet, you should try it. It’s so fun to use once you get the hang of it.
As for build, I usually run a solo PvP build.
15 Str 15 Agi 20 Vit and 10 Grit.
My main weapons are the Ancient Lemurian Trident (with Kingslayer Polearm transmog) and the Star Metal Great Axe.
For armor…
Light Silent Legion helmet, chest piece, and leggings.
Dragonhide bracers and boots.
I’m trying out a few other armors right now, I’ll let you know if I find something else.
You showed the fight where the lag was so bad I couldn't dodge the sprint axe. lol
The server needs to get fully wiped. The lag was/is atrocious, especially in the first fight.

I know… it was really surprising to see how empty it was. I been scouting a lot lately on the new server and I have noticed a lot of bases are completely empty inside. It’s weird.
So this is totally unrelated to your video but I really want to rant..
I play conan for 6 hours a day 7 days a week Religiously And when I say I learn something new every time I play😮, I really do.
So I created a Base At the end of a long a** bridge right above The unnamed city. There is a nice little lake with a boss croc Right under me. So I am cleaning up this base on the outside getting rid of unnecessary foundation and I accidentally accidentally remove all the foundation underneath My volt and the decay timer went down. So I build a new area for my vote and I return the Volt to inventory all the items would not fit in my inventory and I ended up. Losing over Four thousand magi skulls that I had from the last exploit that they patched, Twelve stacks of steel reinforcement, Seven stacks of insulated wood, over a hundred fragments fragments of power, thralls, and so much more... So I definitely learned a lesson about Putting volts back into your inventory. Well that was my rant and I wanna Thank you if you took the time to read this
I started playing this on console, I quit though. Had logged out with a good spear I had bought but when I logged back in someone hacked into the lil small base I build to log out just to take my spear an swap it with a sickle like okay

The community for this game is so good. There's so much respect and restraint. The clan could wipe you off the server if they wanted but they don't because they know the community is scarce and they want as many people as possible for pvp/rp/memes. I think this game is better than Rust in terms of content and community. On Rust the whole point is to troll and grief and make people mad. But pvp on conan is all about fun. Of course there's always those outliers like the people who camp outside your base with claws but every game has that fringe sub community of trolls and griefers

Can you show us an example of your loot base? Like how is it hidden? What makes it safer than keeping stuff in your regular base?

While I’m new to this game, I’m familiar with stash bases in other games and it’s really just basic stuff. Hidden = not easily spotted. That’s all. Find a nice out of the way spot and you’re good to go. The guy could show you all the great out of the way spots on a video, but then everyone would know them and they wouldn’t be good hidden spots anymore. Good luck!

Yeah, thralls are pretty useless now. They were severely nerfed and are extremely easy to kill now.
For me personally though, I’m not a fan of thralls in PvP combat (they get in the way more than anything) so even if they were still good, I wouldn’t rely on one.

How come everyone builds around sinkhole?
In Conan PvP, Sinkhole is the most popular spot for PvP. It’s usually where a lot of people/clans go to fight and that’s why a lot of people will setup a pyramid base there.
I love these kinds of games but they so brutal for a solo players plus if someone is a higher lvl no point in fighting
Yeah, it’s tough being solo in these types of games because you’re always at a disadvantage, but it’s also a ton of fun cause it forces you to play the game differently in order to survive.

What’s the point of a pyramid?
Sorry for the late comment. Pyramids are used for defense. If you’re in a battle and you start running low on health, you can just jump down your pyramid from the top. Your enemy you’re fighting will usually not follow you because if they jump down, they’ll get stuck due to the anti climb fences.

They were pulling hitboxes, which means, they were able to attack you from far away and still deal damage.
