I’m playing around with papers and sprays and water and creating some grungy ephemera for these little journals! I hope you will feel inspired to grunge up some things in your craft room!
Good morning Diane💞 Awesome cover and grungy pages, thank you for sharing. Hope you are staying warm, we are getting lake effect snow today. Take care, big hugs🤗
I really love watching you work with your sprays! I used a lot of mine when I made my Halloween cards. Background papers of any kind take on a whole new life when you spray them. I love the index coffee dyed cards too!
Diane, these journals are going to be really lovely! The ephemera is super grungy and I love this look. The covers are perfect for the grungy look. Looking forward to seeing the final flip through.
Love these grungy tags! I’m excited to see how these shabby journals come out! I have a lot of these antique books and readers, and I love getting inspiration from your channel ❤
These are looking fantastic. I am especially loving the Graded Poetry journal. Jan 26th is my birthday so that singular calendar page from 1943 is calling to me. Funny how a singular page in a journal can trigger such joy. Call me odd. 😂 ❤
I’ve seen you use it before but, where did you get your distressing tool you use on the edges of the pages to rough them up. Is it something you can get out of an office supply area? Like the effect.
It’s a Close to My Heart product. But Tim Holtz had one, too, I think, but it looks different. I think it’s not round. You can also use the blade of your scissors.
What fun Journals. Love all the original papers 😊
Again, love the lady cover. Really like the die cut corners. These journals will be great!
Diane - I love these! I especially love the Polish children's book pages. xo Mary

You're right, the grungy look really works for these journals!
These are such cool little journals! It was fun watching you experiment with the ink sprays.❤

Ive never seen you do so grungy and im enjoying every minute 😊❤❤❤. I don't have sprays but I do have distress ink and I use that on glass mat.😅
Yes, distress ink on a glass mat has a great result! Have fun playing with that!
Love those die cut corners. Could you share what they are...if they can still be found?
