The content is always good. The “control arm marathon” was wearing a bit thin but that’s actually how it goes in the shop sometimes. Whatever you do, don’t get rid of the little white finger pointer. I love that!
The quality looks great but I honestly didn't notice a huge difference. I say do whatever is easier for you to make your great content. I wouldn't worry so much about the control arm marathon as it shows the reality of builds. People need to know that in order to complete an awesome build it also takes the ability to grind through problems multiple times to get it right. I really appreciate the honesty in your videos. Keep it up man I'm enjoying the process.
On tripod is good. Handheld can be more “intimate” like when you’re excited for something just hand hold the camera to show us what you’re excited about. Love this channel.
Man, one thing that i love about your videos, is your editing. It's one of the best out there. No fancy effects, sure, but above all, no crapy music over yet another pointless timelapse ! Instead, a voice over explaining the details about what's going on, about your thought process, and that's exactly what made those videos so interesting for me, i learn a lot that way. Please, keep doing that !
Shooting from tripod seems fine, although I'm not sure about the depth of field, maybe try knocking the blur back a little? Iy's certainly not bad, but it's the only thing that stood out to me as strange. At times it almost makes it feel as if you are standing in front of a green screen.
This episode works extremely well with the new camera set up. Please do not get too commercial with your channel, it is what gives it the "I can do this in my Garage" feel, and keeps me interested. Love it please keep up the great work.
Feedback the tripod works fine with the mic. But I don’t think you need to use it all the time keep some handheld sections when needed. Your videos always have a Stanceworks “feel” and as long as they have that feel it’s good with me!
TBH i really feel the most important thing to keep no matter what is the pointing finger. Every single time I love it. the fact you never talk about it and the it completely normal is the best.
We are here for the car content and obviously a high quality sound and picture are great to have. Totally onboard with showing the not so great moments as well as those who come out well. Be yourself and don't attempt to reinvent the wheel. Thank you
I have said it before, and I will say it again. I look forward to these episodes more than much of the automotive content out there. The new camera format only adds to the professionalism. Keep it up Mike!!!
Keep showing all the mistakes/fvck ups as this makes all of us feel better knowing there’s others out there that go through the same learning curves 👌🏼👌🏼I’m happy to watch x10 episodes in a row on control arms if that’s what it takes 👍🏼👍🏼 Absolutely love the build and content! Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
I for one like this change. A lot actually. It looks much more natural to me. One, I too am more comfortable (when describing or explaining something) talking with my hands. When one or both are limited, for whatever reason I stumble on words to explain properly. Two, it allows you to have both those hands free to hold the part your speaking about while talking. Mic quality sounds clean and crisp. Love the end lol.
New format works fine. I like it. As others said, don't worry about the control arm marathon. Some aspects of a build breeze along, and some are marathon sessions. Whether because of mistakes, changing horses mid stream (Don't ask), or of necessity from other factors (engine fit, etc). If I wanted to see a build take place in 30 minutes, I'd watch Overhaulin or some such. No disrespect to them, but since I have my own build going on, I like to see the actual problem solving. It's what makes your channel and a few others stand out, and I look forward to each of them. Keep up the good work! I'm also glad that the community is stepping up to support your friend Evan. We donated, and I would encourage all watching this content to send a few bucks where they can. He's a fellow enthusiast, and he needs our help.
The new mic works great. Personally I prefer the hand held intro and outro - it feels more like a conversation in your shop than a presentation. Do whatever you prefer and I'll still show up regardless :-)
I like the handheld vlog format better. Would still watch the new format, but the old format feels more personal, which is one reason I come to TH-cam.
Hand held or tripod - your choice man, whatever you feel that day or whatever is easier for you. We here for the content, you can film with your phone if you like it :) Speaking of medical bills, you guys are having it hard over there. Nice to see that your friend is going to have atleast some costs covered. A friend of a friend was recently visiting from us and he paid 500$ for a dentist here instead of 14 000$ over there. This is mindblowing amount.
Canon R5 is a great camera. Nice video too. Maybe shoot 4K next time? People will see the difference vs. 1080p. Maybe try another picture profile? Shoot some test footage!! And Canon's autofocus system really works well for people. The Lav mic is a better choice. It's professional. Sounds great. Great choices Mike!
Hi mike, as far as I’m concerned I like the professional look of the tripod but I enjoy you running around with the camera and showing stuff as you talk about it a lot more, it feels more personal. I love that you try your best to bring us the best content possible, keep up the great work !!!
Personally I don’t mind the control arm marathon, I love watching others fabricate things as it gives me inspiration for my own projects. The camera upgrade was great though because of those crisp shots of #earslikechloe!
Ha ha ha, it must be the week for TH-cam mistakes - At least your control arm one was way cheaper than Al's turbo implosion on The Skid Factory... I have quite enjoyed the transparency - makes us average humans relate to you more. Keep up the stellar work.
I like the new setup/format as it allows you to show us things more clearly it also let's you explain things better with your hands, shake n bake Mike 🤙
I love the new filming setup. There is a huge bump in production value with the better camera and mic setup. You could still use that hand cam for the exciting parts when you want to get your viewers in there with you. I enjoy all the content and new videos. Thank you!
Sounds and looks good. I enjoy the plastic hand/pointer, too. It seems just a little dark in the shop. No need for set lights or anything artificial. Your shop is your shop after all, not a set for us.
Keep doin what you're doin man. Fantastic content, and you should know that while episodes like control arms aren't necessarily the most exciting thing, your passion for the project, expertise and your need to do it right make up for the "slower" content in spades. The fact that I've been fully engaged for three or four control arm episodes is a testament to that. Only a matter of time before this channel blows up. Thanks for the educational entertainment and awesome unique style of builds
As far as the camera goes it didn't make much of a difference for me as a viewer so if tripod is a lot easier on you then that's cool, but I do like some camera holding selfie explaining occasionally, idk I guess that does make it feel more personal? Weird thing to say as a viewer but I guess you make a point. I liked the mixed approach
Your content is always top notch Mike. I do like the new camera, but I gotta admit, at least for the intros I did always enjoy the hand-held intro and whatever caption you stuck in that episode at the bottom. Made things feel more personal.
I had to pause the video because I is way better on the tripod because if I'm dead honest the awkward eye staring so you know where to cut the video when editing always got me. Your way more relaxed. I like it. I like it alot. OK back to the video
Love the quality of this camera and personally I like a camera tripod or stand. I can’t watch some channels because of the movement and quick camera change angles etc which make me want to vomit. I love the still camera showing the work getting done over a head mount or stick whatever. So yea this is a big thumbs up for me.
I can't get enough of this build, my favorite TH-cam build since the Fiero rebuild. A close 2nd is the Tesla C10 that adult Squints and his guys are building and of Course SuperFast Matt's old Tesla Jag.
Mike, I like the new camera setup. But I also like the handheld camera, feels more personal. My two cents; use the camera on a tripod for the intro and outro, just like you did in this video. Then use the handheld cam for filming stuff in between welding and fabricating. The handheld cam really feels like we're there with you, building cool stuff. I love the content and the project, you're doing an amazing job documenting everything! Keep up the good work
Either the hand held cam or the tripod cam can be implemented depending on the occasion. The quality of both has been great, I say go with what feels natural for yourself. We'll eat it up no matter what haha.
We have all been in the same situation, measure twice cut 3 times and its still too short! Everyone makes mistakes, you don’t see that on a Chip Foose type show. Keep it real man! Nice work!!
New camera is great! Good move! Funny because I’ve been talking about getting an R5 in a water housing with my gf for shooting waves! I guess this is a sign 😎🤙🏽
I like that you used a hack saw blade on a sawzall to start the suspension, project that's my kind of kick off. I use a Makita 18v Cordless Band and a old Craftsman compound miter box with a 12" thin blade when making A-arms. I was neat seeing the CAD program to make a temp-let I have never done that. If the CAD program would calculate and factor in Ackermann angle I would love that no more math on the window glass.
The production value is definitely a step up and I love it! Don’t think being impersonal would be an issue as your personality on camera makes up for it. It’s definitely exciting to see your build slowly unfold no matter how suspenseful as the process is what I personally enjoy watching :) keep it up Mike
I'm enjoying the content however you decide to present it. It's great to see this project come together and see your thought process as you are making it. I think you should do whatever is most comfortable and convenient for you. I always look forward to your videos. Keep up the great work!
You’re overthinking it bro, we all watch cos we think you’re an entertaining host and we love the car. Saying that, the episode was great the way it was shot, just do whatever works for you, we’ll keep watching 😬👌👌
As far as the quality/camera style goes, I say use the method that feels the most natural to you. If you feel like you have a better workflow one way or another, use that one. Cant wait to see this Hondari/Ferronda rip 👍
New camera is great, but you need a wider depth of field! It gives off kind of a weird green screen vibe. And I don't think anybody is getting tired of the videos man every one doesn't have to be a complete banger
Love the handheld when you just get parts but tripod to do the discussion parts. I'm gonna start on my fiero this winter so all these tips are incredible before I inevitably screw up
Great video as always. Yeah, we might be getting a bit tired of the control arm saga but that's the way the wheel rolls. As far as the format goes I myself really like this set up. Not at all impersonal and still high quality coverage af great content.
Man, amazing video and sound quality, but the cartonish gloved hand pointer is building a trademark, it encompasses all the characteristics of this channel, it's fun, kind of informal but without losing quality, it's analog without giving up technology, and it precisely shows all the technical information. Glovehand makes us feel like we're out there building with you. (by the way Glovehand is the mascot name).
Hopefully you're planning on fixing the side view geometry? Not just the front/rear view that you teased. It almost looks like Ferrari didn't ever bother with anti-squat, and at you're power and grip levels, you will REALLY need it! Would be easy to have interchangeable rear lower control arm forward mount points.
Mike, I call your pointer, the Mickey Mouse hand and it's HILARIOUS!! I love how this little tool, becoming a permanent in your content, it loosens the "dryness" of the subject and makes it very interactive. Like I said, I feel like I booked that online "master class" thus you are offering us those insights for free, priceless and thanks for sharing your knowledge and candid approach on things pertaining to build a race car. EDIT: Are you a "1" man band, like filming, editing and such? I suppose, and that makes your content "Motortrend" worthy. It truly feels like one of the MT channel shows I'm watching. Man you are delivering "top shelf' material here. Again, don't want to blow sugar up your rear end, just expressing my sincere appreciation.
Honestly, I prefer you using the camera vs standing in front like a presentation. In addition, the distance is so far from your face that it feels very impersonal. Love your channel and can't wait to see the final 308.
Great content Mike! You really have an eye for all things design including TH-cam videos. As long as we’re still getting the slow pans around parts and materials, little white pointer fingers and you tirelessly keep creating content, you’ll keep me subscribed! You work really hard mate, thanks.
Honestly you’re doing great with the whole TH-cam thing. I was really bummed when the model A series didn’t get finished because that’s one of my favorite projects of all time. It would be really cool if you made some videos of taking the model A for some rips on the street/ going over stuff on the car. I’ve got a project that’s going to get a jerico and would love to hear yours.
I like the new camera setup but I also like your hand-held intros too. I think most everyone watches things in 1080p anyway so the quality looks good on both. Definitely noticed the depth of field difference though which is nice. Maybe just change it up and do either type, however you’re feeling
Love the tripod angle! I noticed you don’t use the protective shield on the angle grinder.. I know it can be annoying sometimes but I get chills down my spine every time I se someone use it without. Love your videos! Keep it up🙌🏼
The content is always good. The “control arm marathon” was wearing a bit thin but that’s actually how it goes in the shop sometimes. Whatever you do, don’t get rid of the little white finger pointer. I love that!
the finger pointer is also a homage to oldskool japanese hot version show. they like to use it when explaining the car specs for testing it on touge
everything u just said is absolutely right and i cant agree more.
I hope Evan back on his feet as soon as possible buddy it's all love!
Finger pointer is my favorite!!
I’m pumped for the finger pointer
The quality looks great but I honestly didn't notice a huge difference. I say do whatever is easier for you to make your great content. I wouldn't worry so much about the control arm marathon as it shows the reality of builds. People need to know that in order to complete an awesome build it also takes the ability to grind through problems multiple times to get it right. I really appreciate the honesty in your videos. Keep it up man I'm enjoying the process.
Yea dude! The honestly in these videos, man. i love it! It's raw but at the same time not.
On tripod is good. Handheld can be more “intimate” like when you’re excited for something just hand hold the camera to show us what you’re excited about.
Love this channel.
"Don't know what to do with my hands" - what you can do with your hands, most wish for.
the finger pointer is becoming the mascot for the channel, time to change the logo!
Ageed
5:10 that's a great dog. So chill and knows his role in your pack that he doesn't think anything, just waiting for instruction... Good job!
It would be great to see your Ferrari in the background.
This is exactly what I was going to comment
This episode works extremely well with the new camera set up. Please do not get too commercial with your channel, it is what gives it the "I can do this in my Garage" feel, and keeps me interested. Love it please keep up the great work.
I'm not tired of the arm videos. Just keep documenting your build as it happens, challenges and all. I'm here for the authenticity.
The camera angle looks good man. Love how the build and yourslef are evolving!
Feedback the tripod works fine with the mic. But I don’t think you need to use it all the time keep some handheld sections when needed. Your videos always have a Stanceworks “feel” and as long as they have that feel it’s good with me!
I don’t plan on nixing the handheld stuff entirely. Maybe I’ll just use the R5 for intros and outros. I’ll find a balance!
First 40 seconds sounds just find Mike :)
Picture quality and lighting seems better too...nice!
TBH i really feel the most important thing to keep no matter what is the pointing finger. Every single time I love it. the fact you never talk about it and the it completely normal is the best.
I like that you've had multiple episodes on the control arms, it's more realistic than a 10 second time-lapse. The process is key!
Appreciated!
New cam is fire
A coat of weld-through primer as soon as you've cleaned up the metal is well worth the effort in my opinion.
I like how you actually audio dub over your timelapses. Most just run them and summarise at the end
The tripod setup is FAR better. It makes your videos look 100x more professional.
I LOVE that you shared the reality of a simple mistake and it's real-world consequences. Thx
I liked the old format handheld and more intimate. Makes it more personable and a great watch. Loving the build so far.
I for one like this change. A lot actually. It looks much more natural to me. One, I too am more comfortable (when describing or explaining something) talking with my hands. 👍 for the new format. Your head doesn’t fill my entire screen, nothing personal.
I love the detail you go in to. To me, the more the better. The new cammera setup is exactly what was missing
Tripod view works out good. Doesnt take away from the experience and gives a nice crisp view of your head.
Keep the og style selfie intro/outro, explaining things with the tripod
Hand held or tripod - your choice man, whatever you feel that day or whatever is easier for you. We here for the content, you can film with your phone if you like it :)
Speaking of medical bills, you guys are having it hard over there. Nice to see that your friend is going to have atleast some costs covered. A friend of a friend was recently visiting from us and he paid 500$ for a dentist here instead of 14 000$ over there. This is mindblowing amount.

100% improvement with the new camera and lapel mic. Audio is much more balanced.
Hi mike, as far as I’m concerned I like the professional look of the tripod but I enjoy you running around with the camera and showing stuff as you talk about it a lot more, it feels more personal. I love that you try your best to bring us the best content possible, keep up the great work !!!
Content is king no matter what you do with your hands!
Production quality is great, it only adds.
+ More doggo
better and better and BETTER! I hope Even recovers quickly from his injuries.
Personally I don’t mind the control arm marathon, I love watching others fabricate things as it gives me inspiration for my own projects. The camera upgrade was great though because of those crisp shots of #earslikechloe!

I have quite enjoyed the transparency - makes us average humans relate to you more. Keep up the stellar work.
I'm def here for the higher quality footage and mic! It's an upgrade and your content looks and sounds great.
I like the new setup/format as it allows you to show us things more clearly it also let's you explain things better with your hands, shake n bake Mike 🤙
I think we’re all here for the great opening captions and excellent build quality. And maybe the hand pointer! A mix of handheld and tripod was great.
Love the new camera the image quality is much better and the sound is spot on.
Your shop is your shop after all, not a set for us.
any content that has progression on your projects is appreciated
You content quality right now is great no need for change 👍🏻

Way better format. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
that rear suspension is taking shape quickly. Great video quality!
Great quality jump of your filming technique. Sharp and well focused pictures, good sound! Go ahead I love it!
I'm really enjoying these vids and the pace at which you're putting them out. Don't burn yourself out brother.
I liked the old style better, feels a little more personal.
Far better!!!! I have the arm stuck out stuff.... never go back
Your videos are still awesome. And this build is still the one I enjoy the most. Really loving the twice a week videos
As far as the quality/camera style goes, I say use the method that feels the most natural to you. If you feel like you have a better workflow one way or another, use that one. Cant wait to see this Hondari/Ferronda rip 👍
Liked the tripod, looks pro when you held the control arm and explaned, grate!
I like the mix between handheld and tripot👍
I enjoy both dude, do whatever you feel most comfortable with!
The quality of the video is crispy
New presentation mode is nice, maybe a mix with Tripod, handheld cam and body cam does the job.
The best part of the two hands free is the ability to pet your dog :)
Lots of channels use a combination of both tripod and "selfie" style shooting. I love both... but I want GOOD audio and you've solved that!
New camera is great, but you need a wider depth of field! It gives off kind of a weird green screen vibe. And I don't think anybody is getting tired of the videos man every one doesn't have to be a complete banger
Wow! Looks great! But honestly, I just like what you’re doing and how good the camera or production quality is not exactly a concern.
Editing seems good and I like that "hand on a stick", seems like straight out of "hot version" or something.
The new camera setup is great.
Love the handheld when you just get parts but tripod to do the discussion parts.
I'm gonna start on my fiero this winter so all these tips are incredible before I inevitably screw up
Do what works best for you. Regardless I’m captivated by the series. Keep up the great work.
Camera work was excellent before but you can tell this new cam and mike has taken it up a notch
Most of all love the build 👍🏼👌
Great video as always. Yeah, we might be getting a bit tired of the control arm saga but that's the way the wheel rolls. As far as the format goes I myself really like this set up. Not at all impersonal and still high quality coverage af great content.

The wide shots look very nice with the slightly blurred background!
The mic works great and the quality of the video does look allot better , continue to love the content your killing it on everything your doing.
Great choice on the New camera setup
Camera looks great and the sound is good.
Honestly, I prefer you using the camera vs standing in front like a presentation. In addition, the distance is so far from your face that it feels very impersonal. Love your channel and can't wait to see the final 308.
As a professional creative and filmmaker, the look is great. Keep up the quality content
Great content Mike! You really have an eye for all things design including TH-cam videos. As long as we’re still getting the slow pans around parts and materials, little white pointer fingers and you tirelessly keep creating content, you’ll keep me subscribed! You work really hard mate, thanks.

Love the tripod angle! I noticed you don’t use the protective shield on the angle grinder.. I know it can be annoying sometimes but I get chills down my spine every time I se someone use it without. Love your videos! Keep it up🙌🏼
I really liked the old style intro and outro, less levigated. Great work anyway!
Both cameras look good so just go with what's easiest
