This my favorite album by Staind. RIP Jon. Edit: I remember getting this CD in 99. If “outside” didn’t happen, I believe Staind would’ve stayed more with dysfunction type music. Okay, typing while interview and Jon mentioned same type of thing 😂 I enjoyed albums after, to me dysfunction and torment is Staind. Oh, didn’t know that. That live outside was 2 years before “Break the cycle” album. 🤔 That means they where going that way before that song got huge. Interesting.
It's definitely one of Staind's best album and their major label breakthrough! Getting a taste of having a #1 crossover hit with "Outside" probably did change the direction of their music and "It's Been Awhile" did feel kind of like a sequel to "Outside"!
