+George Koodray This is true. Every time I listen to a Bowie song I think, now that is my favorite Bowie song. Then I hear another and that becomes my favorite Bowie song. He was brilliant. He has left his mark in rock culture forever. He will be missed.
Bowie whit Iman really made me feel he was Going on stage as real as possible so he's getting it he enjoy what they made trough years. And remember this is from low ❤️
This is one of the greatest live renditions of this song, I think. Has that live pulsating "umph", even in video form. Bowie never ceases to amaze. A truly unique and special musician. Shame that only a handful, if at all, are there such a thing in today's music world. Most of today's artists truly need the gift of sound and vision.
Saw him three times, the last Glass Spider tour I went tripping on three bickies, it was so intense over and done in one and 15 minutes later, incredible performance., in no small part to Peter frampton on guitare 😀
"I will sit right down, waiting for the gift of sound and vision And I will sing, waiting for the gift of sound and vision Drifting into my solitude, over my head..." Rest in peace, dear Man.
"don't you wonder sometimes, about some and vision?" Every. Flipping. Time. I get this wave of happiness and sadness at the same time. Such a beautiful song.
I have 40 years old and listening the legend Bowie from 1990 when i had 16 yeard old... I'm very proud to have spent years of my life listening his beautiful songs, but his voice and his songs will be featured in my house for the rest of my life. I think that legends never die!
Davids my biggest idol, he's had such an impact on my life and the fact that he's gone still seems unreal to me, he was really just an indescribable person and his music has always been with me since before I can remember, rest in peace you beautiful man
I never really followed much of David Bowie's music over the years, I've heard a few of his songs over the years, since he passed I've downloaded quite a few of his albums, his earlier stuff and I have to say wow, even now at my age, 34 discovering music like this, this track has totally blown me away, I knew he was a talent and a legend but my god listening to his music I hadn't heard before, I'm a new fan. Kids these days will never know what good music is, I'm a massive Michael Jackson fan and his music will never die, neither will Freddie Mercury and other artists who have passed who were legends. This song has been on repeat for the last week, I can't get enough of his music and wished I'd took more notice over the years. RIP David Bowie what a musical legend.
This will always be one of my most watched and favorite videos. What a terrific song this is. I just love it. He's so irreplaceable. I love you David Bowie.
So good to see him enjoying himself so much performing this show - born to do it obviously. What a lucky audience. This is as good as anything Mozart or Beethoven produced in their time. Brilliance.
What a show this guy can put on...When going to a Bowie concert, my friends and I would prepare like this was big occasion, and we'd go all out and go broke for the show, but always worth it, and his concerts were always an event that I'll always remember.
I went to Berlin in July, and I kept playing this whole album. It was such a sublime experience because i got to visit his apartment in Berlin and it just felt like he never left us.
Not often I comment here on TH-cam but I totally related to your post. I put Modern Love up LOUD on the school run in tears and my daughter wondering why Daddy was crying. I said the Goblin King was dead and she was as upset as me! Bowie the ever chaa chaa chaa changing man! 80’s Bowie my absolute fav though....hands down 🎵&👁
49 year old Bowie fan since I was 12 but I only just found out the back story about this song and the album it's on 'Low.' So in the spirit of that I'm going to try and end a long time addiction. Going to be sick physically for awhile but I will wake up every day and listen to this song before I get out of bed. Maybe paint my bedroom blue :)
I am fortunate to have seen Bowie live 10-11 times, since the age of 13. One of the reasons I was so draw to his music was was/is his constant movement. It was never the same thing. A Bowie concert always included "I wonder what he will look like this time", because we never knew what to expect. His music is visionary and like us, a work in process. I can leave out that he also had one of the tightest bands!. I can't wait to show my 6yr old grandchild. Thanks a lot!
He's one on his own, there's never been anyone like him and never will be, he knew that!!! Simply beautiful, you can see right inside his soul, he's pure love
the drummer just went off in this performance, he’s hitting those drums like they owe him money! absolutely brilliant performance of one of his best songs from one of his best albums, if not his BEST album.
I was about 18 when this song came out, and man-o-man I thought this, along with Secret Life of Arabia and Heroes the best things he ever did. This live version is wonderful--and the band. It still "gets me feet up to dance even though they're covered with keloids from the slings and arrows of outrageous romance," thank you, Joni Mitchell. Bowie does deliver!
I came along here as there is a 50 best Bowie list in the paper today, and this song topped it! I think it is Bowie's best, but also, one of mankind's best ever songs
Bowie's talent has been something that has inspired lots of artists over the years and we as a listening public have been blessed with some great sounds because of that. I cling to those sounds as little oasis's in a current of dross lately, but thank God we still have the original artist that can still knock it out..Power to you Dave Baby.
I was only 2 when this was originally released. Bowie, along with Queen, Zep and other such amazing artists played the soundtrack to my life. Shame todays kids don't have such quality to accompany them through life unless someone is kind enough to introduce them to "old" music. Time to play it for the third time in a row - as good now as it was 34 years ago!
Bought "Low" album on vinyl the week it was released. This is best performance of Sound & Vision ever. Thanks for posting. I will be viewing or listening to this every day.
He loved to sing for us all very much Play his music everyday love it all thank you for all you gave of yourself and what you left us to remember RIP Beautiful one
One of my favorites. You can't have 'a' David Bowie favorite. He was just too good.
+George Koodray This is very close
+George Koodray This is true. Every time I listen to a Bowie song I think, now that is my favorite Bowie song. Then I hear another and that becomes my favorite Bowie song. He was brilliant. He has left his mark in rock culture forever. He will be missed.
George Koodray agreed!
I have 9, haha.
yep, and every track improves with age.
I am now 65 years old,Bowie's generation! What a gift he was to all of us,Thank you David!
Him saying "Sound and vision, I'm getting it now" at the end made my heart grow three sizes
I know. There's something so charmingly adorable about the way he said it.
When a beautiful man smiles!
Bowie whit Iman really made me feel he was Going on stage as real as possible so he's getting it he enjoy what they made trough years.

Superbe ... I hope my You tube David Bowie Interpretations make him smile from far far away ... so cool.
Sure did.

Yeah it's got a good beat to it. It means business. The power of live music played well never disappoints me. RIP David.
The sad thing is there is absolutely nobody to take this mans place in music....
Nobody!!
What a legend & so sadly missed.....
xtstevie Very true. Totally agree with you!! Miss him immensely.......
Noone can ever take his place. He was a legand
Superbe ... I hope my You tube David Bowie Interpretations make him smile from far far away ... so cool.
I'm going to nominate Gerard Way. Nobody can replace Bowie, of course, but Gerard is inspirational in a lot of the same ways.
My favourite Bowie song. So lucky to have had him in our lives. Genius and legend
Lynn Massie Mine too!♥️

Fabulous rhythm great band all were so tight, and Bowies voice what more could you ask for just sublime.
Superbe ... I hope my You tube David Bowie Interpretations make him smile from far far away ... so cool.
Perfection ❤️
never knew his live performances were so kick ass
Saw him live, Serious Moonlight tour and Glass Spider Tour, his voice was so clear he could have been in a studio
Saw him three times, the last Glass Spider tour I went tripping on three bickies, it was so intense over and done in one and 15 minutes later,
incredible performance.,
in no small part to Peter frampton on guitare 😀

when I first heard about the news, this song immediately crossed my mind like a shooting star
mine too!
+detailll3 Same here
+detailll3 I posted this song in my fb a month back....who knew then...oh the irony...
+detailll3 Me too, my favorite DB song, listed to it often!
+Tina Hadi More like, oh the humanity.
Although David's early singles are fondly remembered, I think that this song is one of his best - very uplifting, if you are feeling down !
Though I'm not sure it came of happiness.
@@susannabonke8552 Weaving his own happiness from nowhere in particular, quite poetic in a sense for where he was
That riff is killer, man
Bah bah barah
David Bowie is my favourite
This is really a iconic sound to me one of the best ever. R.i.P David
Yes, indeed... and (3:57) 'I'm gettin it now'
When I hear this song I feel like I'm walking through a RAINBOW
I think that would make David smile.
Superbe ... I hope my You tube David Bowie Interpretations make him smile from far far away ... so cool.
Simle sing Just like him
great line
Mike Garson piano playing on this is incredible.:-)
Isn't it just
I think it's to much, a little less would be nicer.
The drummer gives me life.
I agree, I think the piano fills it out nicely
He’s playing boogie woogie licks during the whole song!
Davids my biggest idol, he's had such an impact on my life and the fact that he's gone still seems unreal to me, he was really just an indescribable person and his music has always been with me since before I can remember, rest in peace you beautiful man

I never thought this song could work so well live & the piano - wow!
love how bowie has hardly anything to do when this song is live.
I cried all night and had to take a day off work
I was depressed for weeks. Bowie's music is such a huge part of my life.
jesus christ, this generation.
Still not over it

Best wishes.

Doesnt Bowie look so relaxed in this footage....
So glad I got to see this beautiful man in concert
Just brilliant! So uplifting, such a feel good factor generated by Bowie and his fellow musicians;
He surrounded himself with the best!
Along with Station to station my favorite Bowie song.

Tragic loss of pop's great entrepreneur in both sound and vision.
