This concert is incredible. It was their first show in the US in 9 years. No promoter would finance a show at MSG, so the band paid for the venue themselves and they sold it out in 20 minutes.
It's still a bit mind blowing to me that a German speaking band is so popular with an English speaking audience (I'm one of them). I can't understand more than a few words but the music, along with the pyrotechnics, is amazing. I want to see them live, apparently the audience at the front can feel the heat from the stage.
Music transcends language. In a lot of rock and metal, the vocals are way down the line of importance. That's why some bands you just get lost in the song vocals pull you back to the current time where the instruments let you soar.
So very many to choose from ! DU HAST : Live in Paris is great, RAMMLIED, Live at Madison Square Garden is great, DEUTSCHLAND studio version will blow you away ! Hell, they're all works of art. Enjoy the ride. I already have my tix to see them this coming September in Foxborough, Mass. USA, and excited beyond measure !!!

If you want to see more mind blowing performances by them I suggest you Check out Rammstein-Rammstein( live at big day out 2001), Mein Teil( live at 2013 hurricane festival) and Engel live at Madison Square Garden. They are all excellent and very creative performances.
"Ich tu dir weh" = "I hurt you". This song is about an extreme case of a sexual sado-masochist relationship. Till, the lead singer, represents the sadist in the song. The lyrics describe the tortures the sadist inflicts on the masochist, and the (sexual) pleasure both sides derive from these tortures. One in inflicting the pain, the other suffering through them.
Yep, but please don’t confuse people, there is a twist line at the end which turns the song into a masochistic self-harming experience, showing us that there was no second person all along, and this line is “Ich seh' im Spiegel dein Gesicht”, which is “I see your face in the mirror”.

While, yes, the line does seem to indicate that this is a self-harming intent, it might also be the reflection of the sadist looking into the mirror, finding it disgusting what he sees there, only to return to torturing his victim just because he is used to it. While that is only my interpretation I am certainly open to discussion about how the intent of the line "Ich seh im Spiegel dein Gesicht" means exactly that, or it has a deeper self-loathing aspect about the sado-masochist relationship.

At the end of the day, isn't this ambiguous nature of their lyrics one of the reasons people all around the would love them so much? I've been listening to Rammstein since their beginnings. For the first time I was at a Clawfingers concert that made Rammstein a lead band and I did not believe what I heard and saw. After a few years, history turned around and the Clawfingers formed the lead band Rammstein. I have been and will also be at all their concerts here in the Czech Republic. In my opinion, this band has the best stage show in the world. Pyro effects are invented by the band's singer, who is also very interested in their production. Till has a very special and unique voice without vibration at the end. The band founded a new music genre NDH (Neue Deutsche Härte). If you are a fan of them and you are at their concert, you are incredibly excited, happy, tanned by fire, completely wet and deaf for other days.
