Thank you for this very concise video. I’m getting my first Sabenza 21 this week. I now feel confident when the time comes that I can disassemble and clean the knife in the proper manner.
Nice video! Have you ever tried running it on just oil or an oil/grease mix for a little easier opening or would you recommend only using grease for the Sebenza? Thanks!
old video, but I disagree on not using loctite. I'm in the process of waiting for replacement hardware because I have discovered that two of the screws have fallen out.
Does the triangular metal piece on the lockbar, wrap around to the lockbar interface? I always thought the lockbar interface was carbidized, but my Sebenza 21’s look like the metal wraps around to the lockbar interface.
The lockbar interface is not carbidized, it's hardened in some way. But with the new Sebenza 31 the interface will be changed all together: th-cam.com/video/-ik6zeT3nIs/w-d-xo.html
Very good video! well done sir. thats the proper way. and you even apply the correct amount of lube and placed on the correct areas, you also make sure that people know this. very awesome. i would avoid the nano oil brand all together as it is absolutely snake oil. i mean if you already have some, use it, but dont go out and buy it, its expensive for what it is and other lube does as well or even better. in fact nano oil when it dries up is nasty and you dont want that in your knife. i could go on and on about why not to use this brand, but if you want to argue i can. very deceitful company.
Thanks for the comment! Our experiences with Nano-oil have all been awesome. I am using it on pretty much all my personal knives for the last two years and have had no problems with it. I like the 10W oil and the grease and I tend to test per knife which one is the best option. Some ball bearrings run better with the oil, some are better off with grease. But that might have been me beeing lucky then I guess. Anyways: thanks for the comment, will look into your remarks.
No matter how many times I have disassembled and reassembled my Sebenza 21, even step by step with TH-cam videos, it always comes out rough and does not deploy well and I can hear it grinding. I literally did EXACTLY what this video said with no luck. I'm gonna have to send this back, I didn't pay $550 for this bullshit.
6 years on, still a great video.. Very clear and simple 🤙🏼

I love your tip on not applying any grease on the washer side facing the scales. Thank you! Great video.
