I'm going to gush a bit: I love Makoto. Whiffing with the Karakusa has a little animation where she grits her teeth and glares at the opponent. Landing with the EX axe kick feels amazing. The way her gi and her scarf blow in the wind gives her an awesome air of quiet strength, and that one aspect of her simple design, the scarf, is used in so many different ways to convey emotion, speed, power, defeat, everything. Fuck. I love her. God damn.

Something special about 3S that doesn't really happen for me in other fighters is, the existence of really bad, near-useless special moves and super moves that I just love using/trying to pull off. In SFIV, not so much. If a move is bad in SFIV, it's just bad, and you should feel bad for using it. In 3S, though, I love bad moves like Alex's Flying DDT or Q's SAIII.
I love these videos, but they also make me sad that I can't get into fighting games. None of my friends play them, and I live in the middle of nowhere. And yet, I still buy fighting games for some reason and just play against the AI.
I can't even win and get good against the AI. I have less than zero patience and get madder than Pat when I start fucking up (I've broken controllers before ._. ) so I can't get into fighting games because no one around me stays scrub forever.
Well if you have an internet connection and the console that allows you to play fighting games with other people over the internet this problem could be solved.

I feel like Akuma's stage is where you go to to get serious. That last match with Woolie and Pat was 10x tenser with "Killing Moon" playing in thwe background.

Seriously, I am not much of a fighting game guy, and that video is pretty much one sided through out. But 3rd strike was very fun and I do want to get into it more. Especially with that video I first saw about it was when that guy who played Ken blocked one of Chun-Li's special movies. Blew me away. Street Fighter 3 was one of those games that existed, but was released in the post arcade (well aside from Japan and South Korea) era. Many people to this day assume Street Fighter Alpha was the '3' in the sequence. I'm sure a fair number of people watching this video are seeing some of these characters for the first time.
