    This is beautiful. I love when families work together to create garden railways. Thank you for sharing.

    I am following the build of your current layout from the ground up. And now I came across the previous version. Funny to see your past and future.

    I wish I still had my extensive 32mm garden railway. But i sold my house, business and railway to a great friend of mine. I moved into a converted van to travel gt Britain and Europe. And I must admit it's the best thing i ever did. I have a 009 very small end to end layout in my van. Subbed your excellent channel.

      They cost ALOT and are very fiddly and hard to build

    Ajax with her moving flywheel and radiator fan is an stunning piece of work. Combined with the sound effects (love the start up sequence) this is true art. Even sounds like the engine has a knock in it. Very well done.

    I really enjoyed watching your Railway. You have amazing creativity and clearly a lot of skill. Obviously a lot of hard work has gone into all aspects of the Railway. Thank you for sharing it. Looking forward to more in the future.

    I've only just stumbled across this video. What an amazing railway, as others have already said there's some impressive engineering here! I know she's "another Lady Anne" but Illingworth / Mitchell looks gorgeous in green with that lining. Lovely stuff!

    Now that’s some serious civil engineering! You’re making me feel lazy with a ground level railway

    Nice layout and well thought out. I lived in Sculthorpe, UK as a child, but I'm in Glendale, Arizona now. I'm building a combination of battery operated trains and some live steam. I really like the realistic "people" that you have. Would you mind sharing a website or location where you get them from. Fun stuff.

    This is some good video work. You're starting to up your game, and that's really good to see. This is one of my favourite channels so far. You might want to move the mic away from their face a little bit and increase the gain, but other than that? It's good! I've come across this railway before, and I found it to be very interesting at the time, so this is great.

      Thank you! We've done a few videos and actually have our own TH-cam channel and Facebook Page, but this is the first video we've made looking at the railway in more detail. I'm glad you like it.

      @dankerthanclanker 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SouthgateLightRailway Yeah, I've seen a good few of your videos as it happens. I didn't realise you were part of the Yorkshire lot. I also didn't realise they were filmed individually until rather too late. But still, it's a great set up!

    I was stocked to buy one from a barnsale a true barnfind it is,, then I've been told so much is wrong with it after uploading 3 vids here on TH-cam, then i find these amazing videos i enjoy them so much! To bad there's not really al lot of these live steam engines around here in the Netherlands making them so rare,,, and I'm really new to it so i can't fix it myself such a pain when i watch these videos i just want to make s run with mine as well, i really love the details you put into youre models and track surroundings even the driver moves his head kinda creepy lol you make it really coming to live

    Very enjoyable, as an occasional visitor to Dave D’s line I can see that the YG have other lines well worth a trip. I also need to get my act together and get to Popleton. DD in normal times is a regular operator at my line in St.Neots. Though I am on 45 Gauge and in another country for my inspiration.

    How can I find out more about Goliath??
    Would you be willing to share his files?
    I just think it outstanding and want one of my own.
    I’m on the verge of retirement and want to do some CAD and 3d printing.
    Any insights would be appreciated.
    I’d like to chat
    Cheers TC

    Hi, great layout, can I please ask about the Ajax loco with the startup sounds, flywheel and fan, is this a commercially available loco or was this scratchbuilt?

    Lol, you´re pudding us on. Most of this footage is of real life full scale railway rolling stock ...you´ve used that "tilt shift" focus effect to make it look miniature ;-)

    Excellent. But - I can't see why u had to make so much work filling fill the gap between the brick & stone walls with concrete & earth. U cd hv just laid lightweight slabs accross the top. It only has to take the weight of a model train !

    • @Iron_Duke1847
      @Iron_Duke1847 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These trains are quite heavy - especially with steam locos hauling lots of coaches or wagons.
