    Just watched your video and don't know where to start. Internal modelling is exquisite and the external construction is really robust. I like the track plan and you have some great locos. Am I envious ? You bet I am !

    I am in complete awe watching this. Your construction, design and artistic skills shine through in all that you have achieved with your son working by your side. Most of all, your demeanour is one of calm satisfaction in what you created. What a wonderful testimony to your craft that will bring endless pleasure to you all in the years ahead. Stunning!

    Thank you for sharing such an enjoyable video. I have both indoor and outdoor railways and I must say that the craftsmanship and skills that have gone into your railway are second to non. Well done and well presented. Thank you for sharing.

    Thank you for such a wonderful film. We loved the way you showed the construction of the railway. Lots of useful tips and pictures with no waffle! The painting and weathering is exquisite, you are very talented. We are in the process of building our own garden railway and your film has been very inspiring.

    Greetings from the northwestern U.S. I'm impressed with the detail of construction. I've bookmarked this video so I can future reference the ideas for your engine house & turntable, a future project in a year or two for me. I'll view your other videos very soon. (It's 02:30 hours local, late morning in the U.K.) Well done indeed!

    Very nice work. I love the detailed inside portion of the layout. I guess it offers some indoor shunting action weather is poor outside.

    You Britts have a much better understanding than us Yanks do as far as constructing the bench work for the elevated rail line. Very inspiring 👍🏼

    • @VestedUTuber
      @VestedUTuber 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kinda defeats the purpose of a _garden_ railroad if it's not going through a _garden,_ though. This is really more of a traditional style model railroad, just outdoors.
      Doesn't change how nice it is, though. I'm just being pedantic over the terminology.

    Nice video, interesting project. I am building here in Glendale, Arizona (USA). Would like to see more photos and description of your manual switch controllers. I prefer the manual over the electric operated machines. Maybe you can provide some insight? Thanks, Ed

    Very nice work, thanks for showing the design and building process! Could you share some info on the A4 Pacific loco seen at 25:56? I've been looking for a 45mm gauge one for years, and the Aster live stream one is the only one I've come across until now.

  • @VestedUTuber
    @VestedUTuber 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It looks really nice, but I kinda struggle to call it a _garden_ railway. It's more like a traditional-style layout built outdoors.

    Id love to do a G scale railroad in my yard but ill have to stick to doing an O gauge garden railroad as a 1' straight can easily cost 10 USD while the o gauge track i can get 24 30" sections for 62 USD. (96 cents per foot)

    • @VestedUTuber
      @VestedUTuber 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Where are you finding O-gauge track for that cheap? I'm able to find some for around $5 per 10" straight but not for 96 cents a foot. Also, trust me when I say this, but while track might be cheaper for O, rolling stock won't be, especially with for locomotives since O focuses more on large mainline standard-gauge equipment while G tends to focus more towards smaller narrow-gauge models.

      Sorry for late come back. I have been astonished by the interest, my wife said you should look at the comments, so in answer, yes. We usually have two open days for charities, none in 2021 but hopefully two in 2022, thanks for watching.
