My brother (81 and asthmatic) flew out to Lanzarote on 25th Feb. That was their 2nd attempt after their Sunday plane landed at Alicante before returning to Manchester (sandstorms!) He says they had 3 nice weeks before lock-down in their apartment. They came home on Wednesday, leaving several days food behind them. I think he worried more about that than anything else. But he said the Airport was madness, as was his plane.
Thanks for posting, Chanel, despite things being very uncertain (everywhere) at the moment. Staying connected & sharing our thoughts and experiences of this situation, go a long way towards keeping us all sane, in our enforced 'social isolation'. Let's hope it's all over soon. Stay healthy and thanks again :-)

The Olympics are probably going to be postponed to next year. If you want to break the hour record this might be a good year to do it, most other races are cancelled so you can fully commit to the hour record. Victor’s hour record is estimated at ca. 330W np, you did 355W for 90-minutes in this vid so it’s definitely do-able. You will need to do it on a high track though (ca. 1400m). What are you waiting for? You will regret it if you’re not doing it ! If it’s a money-problem start a crowdfunding campaign, there are plenty of people who will support this. This idea will haunt you from now on. Bye

Pfft... I know how you guys felt . I flew to Tenerife (easyjet) on the 29th Feb, first two weeks were perfect - Mid/High 20s all day just the perfect weather and then the f*cking lock down hit and I was like, OK it won't be so bad. NOPE. Police didn't fuck around and was fining people out on bikes up to €1k. I even tried going out on runs at like 7am but was flagged down lol.. I was to fly back on the 20th which was cancelled but fortunately my rescue flight was also on the 20th and I got back in the early hours of this morning. Weird time to be cycling.
You might not think it, but you are soooo lucky my mate & a few friends didn’t even get one day of riding before the lock down. They were deserted by Ryanair & had to pay triple the price to eventually fly home which was via Dublin, because Ryanair, overbooked the flight to England by 80 people.
Brekky looks absolutely dee-lish. If someone fed me that every morning I would ride my bike much, much more. Yes I would. Really. Even more than that. Even in times of Coronacrisis.
Massively selfish trying to travel anywhere at this time, I love you Alex... but please... the 2020 season is over already, get back to Essex and stay there. X
The vlog is from three weeks ago - we did state that in the bio. At that point life was absolutely business as usual. In current climate we wouldn't dream of getting on a plane anywhere but at that time, everything was continuing on as normal. This vlog, if nothing else, shows how quickly it can change from zero to one hundred.
