  • In this video I’m going to talk about two of my favorite topics: fly fishing and 3d printing! I had so much to say I’m actually making two videos. This video is about me finding fly fishing reel designs on Thingiverse and making them. My next video will be me trying them out and reviewing them.

You're sacrificing yourself to answer a question every fisher with a 3d-printer has to deal with at some point; thank you a lot! I myself are an utter newbie to fly fishing and would therefore for part two of your little series be especially interested in how the 3d-printed reels compare to (cheap) store bought ones. Is it possible to actually start learning fly fishing without a bigger investment beforehand? Regarding printed fishing equipment, I've made some quite good experiences with crankbaits, floats, boilie stoppers and such, but printing something with functional moving parts is something completely else. Thanks again and best regards from Germany!
