  • Store bought spider weights dont hold good when surf fishing for sharks or redfish, heres how to make your own. I'll show 2 molds in 2 vids, plus tell you how to make a 3rd mold. I've never had one fail to hold yet. Do it the poor mans way!!! Be sure to watch part 2 for an even better mold!!!

    @fracwilt They do!!! We had around 50lbs of grass and seaweed on our lines 2 weeks ago in the surf.. these still held!

    @1postalpredator I hav the holes at the bottom. The water helps cool that first bit so I dont loose it all. In part 2, its a differant mold with actual holes at the bottom. In one pour, you can see, it lost alot of lead. Just helps it set...

    @addictiontothewild Steel wire is not too weak!!! Copper is what the stores make them out of. Thats too weak! If it was any thicker you coulnt bend those wires. Make one and try!!

    Great video info. I think I would not use it because the wire to weak. If it was more thicker hell yeah. But I like the idea Dnahoghunter.

    not the prettiest.... but dang i bet those things last a long time......
