I was an au pair for 6 month in London, at first it was ok then they started to give tasks past the time scheduled and then even on weekends (my free time). They didn't sign the contract, and when I started to reclaim gentlely my free time they started to act weird and ask me ''are you feeling good?'' ''we think you are not feeling good in here'' in a weird pasive agresive way. They started to ask about if I could dress diferent (I liked to wear wide sweatpants). I decided to fing a weekend job at a café to have and excuse to stop working for them for free. And from there I saved money and asked to work full time at the cafe so I could pay a rent and move away from the host family. Don't let them treat you bad, It will mess your autoestime. I'm sure you can work in a cafe, or something similar to keep practicing the language and meet new and cool people.
Hi! I wanna ask, I’m very interested in becoming an aupair in Germany also studying there. Is there a way where I can change my visa before the duration of being an aupair ends? Thanks.
Hey, yes you can changed your visa but there are a few requirements you should fulfil before applying for the study visa. you can check it out on this website southafrica.diplo.de/sa-en/sa-consular/sa-visa1/sa-visalong?openAccordionId=item-2295310-1-panel
i wouldn’t recommend it. i wrote my thesis while being an au pair and it was difficult. if you’re with smaller children, you’re likely to be too tired to do both and the „free time“ is just an illusion. i’m germany, they’re only supposed to give you 1.5 free days
@@heyitsNsuku praaaying it works out 😭 this sealed the deal for me, i know i can’t be an au pair for kids who are under 7 and who don’t go to primary school at least 5 days a week. bearing the emotional burden of a toddler just feels like such an overwhelming task if kids that age aren’t your “passion”.

Watching from Philadelphia

Au-Pair apply link please
hey, there’s no application link. i used aupairworld (www.aupairworld.com/en/find-family) to find a family, but there’s also agents that can help you
Eyy how do you manage school and AU pair life
Hey wic courses can you study during ur aupair tym
i’m not sure about other countries like the the US but in germany, it’s a german language course
So aupair is draining sometimes 🙂
yes, it can be. you need a lot of energy and patience when you’re dealing with children
Hey,What is Msc thesis
it's an academic research document, mine was about 120 pages, you have to submit at the end of your masters degree
We should probably make a group for us au pairs and rant ,and cry and laugh about it because 💔
i couldn’t agree more! 😅
Hey, it's Nsuku
