In 2012 when visiting Canada with 3 friends, we drove this road to the bridge, visited the cemetary in the wood, I picked a spike along the tracks and painted it in silver paint as a CP memory. I have a picture of the stone with the childrens names on it.

Another cracking video and you got to fly the drone which gives a better perspective of the whole area.
Shame to see the ruins of Donald, but that is what happens when the place relies on the railway and the railway then moves on to another place.

Wow! Tony, And a great tribute, to the old timer railroaders, at Donald, back in those days. I remember flying a float plane here 35 years back. These aerial views, shows Donald, Excellent and is the distinct point, at where the trains start the long climb, into the Rogers pass. Beautiful. The Columbia river water level is terrifyingly high, up against the railway bridge pilings.
    Eye bugging video Tony. 👍
    Thank you very much!

I remember working the Donald switcher from Golden to Donald lifting and setting off cars at the Mountain Mineral spur at Willamette and lifting and setting off chip cars and lumber cars at Donald.

Great videos and drone footage, Tony! Excellent! I love watching just for the scenery. Minor quibble: too many spelling mistakes - proofread more. Cheers and best wishes. NA

Thanks, Ya, spelling was never my strong point Part of the reason why I now voice over my videos now.

Really enjoying this series Tony! You should do more voice overs, the ones in your Roger's Pass video added a lot to the production.
The Kicking Horse is the Mountain Sub, and Roger's Pass is the Lagan Sub? Just so I have it straight. :)
