- On this super foggy frosty morning I catch a few trains including a rail grinder at a local spot west of Edmonton. The frost on the tress from the drones perspective makes it look amazing!

I’m not sure why or how I came upon this video but I must say my heart is pounding so fast as it triggers something inside of me so I thought I might share with you, My husband Pete was an engineer for CPRail but unfortunately on January 20, 1995 his train hit a rockslide and ended up on the bottom of Kootenay lake in Nelson BC (Proctor area) he and his break man never survived. I can’t believe it’s almost been 30 years as it’s still so fresh in my mind. He loved his job as a railroader , I still miss him everyday. I appreciate that you put in a warning on your video that trains can sneak up on you without warning, my husband used to say the same thing :)
Blessings, Leiza.
@@Lisa54321 wow, I am so sorry for your loss. This nearly brought a tear to my eye. I have always respected the railway and hope others do as well. This hobby of capturing trains with a unique perspective is very important to me and I hope it stirs up good emotions. Thank you for commenting and sharing your heartfelt story
@ Yes it does stir up some good emotions. My late step father Ted Clark was also a railroad hobbiest big time ,he was also into streetcars and used to make model streetcars which are showcased in a museum somewhere in Vancouver and has thousands of photographs with the Richmond archives , he used to chase trains also and capture them on his old cameras, he would have loved your aerial drone videos :)
Well, mid winter and absolutely no trace of snow. Same here, unthinkable 30 or 40 years ago.
@@hunsbuckel55 this was filmed in November but your right its been unusually mild in Western Canada also. Our first real snow storm was yesterday and cold air for just a few days.
Fantastic video Tony. Sorry we missed the live premier but we enjoyed watching on the replay. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend.(Steve)
@@StormySkyRailProductions thanks, no worries. We all have lives outside of this hobby. You enjoy the weekend also
