    Nice vid, little thing I like to different (this applies to any transmission/ transfer etc) Always remove the filler bolt first. If you have trouble the remission is still full and you can still use your vehicle to get different tools/replacement bolt/copper washers.
    Voice of experience from a car that had a stripped filler bolt, had to borrow a car to go buy a set of vice grips and replacement filler bolt.

    The oil you are using is wrong. Suzuki states to use final gear oil SAE 90.
    It’s an error in their manual because they also state 10w40.
    But if you think about it and you have to choose, you would go for their 1st statement that makes more sense.

      Hi, where did you see that is wrong? Been doing this since 2007 with 61,500 miles on it, zero problem. It’s not wrong, burgman riders use 10-40 in 400 and 650 too. Honda pcx do same thing too. Did Suzuki tell you it’s error in manual? Have a good weekend

      @@MitchsScooterStuff Hi Mitch, first of all let me tell you that your video tutorials are very good and have been very helpful to me, thanks!
      What happens is that I have a 2002 model, bought new and it came with a sticker from Suzuki saying to use Motyl (SAE80w90) for the transmission, in this case final drive. I also have a 2003 Suzuki workshop service manual that states to use SAE90 for the final drive, or SAE80 if you live in a climate with zero degrees Celsius temps.
      The thing is that in that manual it also states on the same page to use 10w40 for the transmission oil, which seems a contraditcion and hence an error. I believe it is a copy over from another Suzuki manual…
      The gears in the final drive are helical gears and this type lubricate better with a higher viscosity oil, like differential gears do. The TMAX 500 also uses SAE 80/90.
      In my opinion this is the oil to use.
      It’s certainly something to double check with an official Suzuki dealership, preferably one that has been around for a while.
      Have a nice weekend too, wherever you are. I’m in Portugal.

    Hi Mitch,why do you use 10 w 40?
    Shouldn't you be using 80 w 90 for transmission fluid?

    • @MitchsScooterStuff
      @MitchsScooterStuff  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, Suzuki manual say 10-40… same with engine oil… Honda PCX do same thing too
