    Its amazing watching you and seeing the patterns you create. Been a favorite for a few years now. I do poi, contact poi, and fire poi. and I am learning all these other flow arts, Your step by step was great and your explanations were easy to follow. Youre an amazing flow artist and a great teacher. keep them coming!

    1) I feel much less frustrated knowing that it took someone at your skill level two _months_ to get this move down. Sometimes I am lucky to even get in a few minutes of time to practice with my dart, let alone time to drill. So now I don't feel so bad when I can't seem to get a move to work for me!

    • @FlowMayhem

      Awesome!!!
      I had a teacher who once told me that all we really need is 15 minutes per day to make real progress. That rule used to help me a lot back when I first started!
      Yeah, I am honestly a pretty slow learner actually. I used to be embarrassed by it. I felt stupid in class. But now I realize that everyone has their own pace and that will end up having nothing to do with how god they are.
      I would even go as far as to say that taking forever to learn moves is what got me to be better, because I learned how to to stick to a goal even when it’s was really frustrating to me

    First, thank you so much for this tutorial series!! I've always stuck with fixed props - poi was just not my jam, but after trying out a friends rope dart a few weeks back I am HOOKED!
    Second, I really hope you make the underarm variation tutorial.

    • @FlowMayhem
      @FlowMayhem  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmmmm I think they are right on par with each other actually! Haha. I think with both it just depends on whether you know the trick to it. You could spend months training it but if you are not thinking about it properly you might not get it. So it’s more about how you think about it that will make it difficult or easy
