Nice one lunmad. Was going to mention the self-tapper dodge, but then you mentioned it. I have adapted a little slide hammer to take a self tapper. Just screw the screw in and tap out the seal; saves the risk of damaging whatever is underneath. Thanks for the mention at the beginning. Hi Moto :-) great minds think alike :-) those BM tyre levers are just the right shape to press on the centre race without touching the bearing. It still amazes me at how many people watch a proper feather for me cap :-)
lunmad, it is because you have such a natural way of communication. I worked as a lecturer in a college teaching apprentice technicians for 22 years until I retired. I’ve seen blokes like you in service and they were always very popular with students, which is a great talent.
Another great video, thanks. I had a bit of a struggle to get my gearbox sprocket off, even though the inspection hole on my '72 5 speed has triangular cuts all around, thing is they didn't quite seem to line up with the teeth!
Hi Kevin :-) the std sprocket is a 19T and there is no problem fitting or removing, a 20T just to say fit through and if a 21T is used notches need to be cut in the case or the main shaft removed. I have never fancied cutting my case so would probably remove the shaft but for the type of riding I do is not worth the hassle.
@@lunmad Hi John, thanks a lot. That probably explains it, sometime in the past my bike must have had a 21 tooth sprocket and had its casing cut, its got a 20 tooth now, that's why the cut outs aren't much use, Kevin

Ah, OK. I see that a 20 tooth (replacing a 19 tooth) brings the RPMs down from 4613 to 4389 at 70 MPH, a decrease of 224 which is better but still too high in my book. Around here you will be run off the road for doing less than 70 on the freeway.
Please study vapor blasting, it will make your videos half as long & if you have light gouging or scratches use a Variety of scotch bright roloc wheels on an angled die grinder. As far as a mirror finish, use Simichrome polish, As far as not being able to clear on aluminum is incorrect. There are many clears available by the Eastwood company that offer excellent results. The whole idea of polishing is to keep air & moisture away from the surface after the polishing phase. I have used these methods for years with Excellent results.
Ha! Without context (and a shit memory that couldn't remember what I had said) that really made me embarrassed. Nice to see you are well, might need to add a bit of power to that old Bonnie to help with the added weight :P I'm not one to talk, I weigh almost as much as that old bike.. back up to 297lbs.. really hard to keep the weight off when damn near everything you do causes you pain.. I'd really like to get back down to 230, or at least 250 with some muscles.. at 6'10 that's not a bad weight.. but with my back, ankles, and knees throwing a fit when I walk it's more than hard.. Hell I can't stand for 15 minutes without my left thigh swelling up and going numb ever since I threw my back out the first time last year.. (let alone the 5+ times that followed the first) There's a guy not too far from here selling a V11 Guzzi for $2800.. I can't believe he's letting it go for so little, if it was a Triumph in that shape it'd be $6-8000 easily.. too bad I'm still not working and all the money I have from selling the Bronco is going to a new car.. well car and some parts and registration/insurance. It's time for me to finally join the 25+ mpg club when gas is $3.65/gal.. and probably soon to go up again. And people wonder why I call it Commifornia. Hope you are well.
Hi Otis :-) embarrassed...why? I have always called a spade a spade, I have become a proppa fatty at 161lbs I was 130lbs for years oh well at 62 I suppose I'm allowed a bit of extra. I wish we paid $3.65 per gal we pay $1.59 per ltr that's almost $7.93 per imperial gallon. Apart from that I'm doing OK :-)

It's sad, I know I have the skills to pay the bills when it comes to welding or doing custom paint but because of my back I'm labeled a liability and unable to get a job doing the things I know and love. And I can't stand/walk long enough or lift enough weight to work retail ever again, plus that's actually one of the worst jobs you can do if you have social problems. Cost of living is expensive everywhere anymore.. unless you live in Singapore or something.. London vs Sacramento everything except for food is more expensive in London.. by 30-60% but food is 17% cheaper.. and California is mostly an agricultural state.. how stupid is that. But then you guys have WAY better internet, health coverage etc... but your taxes are INSANE!
