7:57 it's funny how drastically internet culture has influenced us. Hearing this noise as a kid would always spark an oppressive sense of dread. But now I can't help but giggle for all the wrong reasons then the game intended.
I honestly kind of forgot how good the dialog and progression of tone is with Phone Guy's lines, like at first he's so dismissive like it's all really normal to him, but as the week progresses and you start on night six he asks you what on earth you're doing there and seems really shaken up trying to tell you what happened and slap a plan together for how they're gonna take care of it in the morning, and "Just finish your shift, that's safer than trying to leave in the middle of the night" It's written in a way that really feels like a genuine reaction someone might have to a tragedy happening at their work place and how they might communicate with coworkers afterwards
@@wolfwarlordjake8992 As I understand it, the Bite of '87 happens after Night 6. When this security guard is doing the day shift at a party he gets too close to Mangle and it happens.
Man I was a kid when this game came out. Now as an adult I realize the true horror of this game is that you're risking your life for barely over $3 an hour. Edit: Someone please tell me why I'm STILL getting comments on this calling me a child when I just wanted to make a joke about capitalism lol
On the 6th Night, the phone guy mentions something about Jeremy (the security guard you play as) having to do one last job before the establishment shuts down for a while. That job is to watch over a children's birthday party the next day and stay close to the animatronics to ensure nothings goes wrong, while wearing his security uniform (which is purple, important detail). So, the morning of the seventh night, Jeremy does as told and is bit by one of the animatronics who rip out his frontal lobe. THAT is the bite of '87. The seventh night, you play as a new security guard under the name Fritz Smith, only for one night before the establishment is closed for good. At the time. (Fritz Smith is believed to be a fake alias for Michael Afton, revisiting the establishments trying to find answers to his father, William's wrongdoings.)
@@madsahren2208 If he was, why would he get fired even when he's been in the company for long for one day, then come back? Honestly, it makes more sense for Michael to be Fritz. Kid Fritz possessed Foxy, Michael has Foxy Mask and uses former's name in honor. Tampers with Animatronics and gets fired(possibly to free the spirits), same with Mike Schmidt(who is obviously Michael). You see the connection?
You never really realize how huge withered freddy is but when he's up close and personal he's massive, if you pause right when he's IN the office, he's behind the desk and his microphone is like the size a person's leg.
39:20 How come people don't treat that as a big deal, because shadow bonnie is literally a 1 in a million chance, and I don't think people truly realize how low that chance really is. Also, this is the first time anybody has captured footage of what happens when you put the mask on with shadow bonnie.
It was crazy how he kept getting rare animatronics and his spontaneous outbursts of the bite of 87 and in space with markiplier was hilarious to say the least

I hope that the "All the fnaf lore answers are in the link below" isn't a joke, and halfway through Mark in Space it'll cut randomly in the middle of an action scene to Mark sitting in a chair, staring at the camera, and saying "William Afton and Henry Emily opened Fredbear's Family Diner in 19-

I had the same experience as you, except I'm german. But I also learned English by watching Mark's fnaf videos. I graduated as the only one in my class being able to speak and write in english fluently

By removing the doors it made it seem like you had to hide from the enemies instead of keep the enemies out. That thought that you can’t keep things out, and you need to hide instead is where most horror games get their scares from. Sure keeping something out is scary, but the thought of hiding in plain sight makes you ask if you were either fast enough or convincing enough to be safe. It was a very logical move to make this horror game more scary.
The absence of sound is often scarier than sound itself, because hearing something scary means you know it’s there, not hearing something scary means you have no idea where it is, what it is, and when you’re going to start hearing it (if you get the chance to)
@@settlingorca5374 I actually never realized you had to pay attention to the sound when I used to play it, and trust it makes it so much scarier and more difficult
That's what makes FNAF 1 so intense, but FNAF 2 isnt as intense since theres always that alarm. The first is more of mysterious noises you need to listen for and you dont have a good idea where something is without checking.
Rarely, with a one-in-a-million chance, the player may encounter what appears to be a shadowy, silhouetted version of Toy Bonnie, with white eyes and teeth, standing on the left side of the office. If he is left in the office for more than four seconds, he will appear to fade away like Golden Freddy and cause the game to crash.
15:02 It's like it was meant to happen. You get back to this game after all these years for another go, and your first death was the exact same way: dying to Toy Chica while winding up the music box. Beauty.

I love how to this day, he still puts the mask on as soon as the flashlight stops working in the hallway like he did 9 years ago
I honestly kind of forgot how good the dialog and progression of tone is with Phone Guy's lines, like at first he's so dismissive like it's all really normal to him, but as the week progresses and you start on night six he asks you what on earth you're doing there and seems really shaken up trying to tell you what happened and slap a plan together for how they're gonna take care of it in the morning, and "Just finish your shift, that's safer than trying to leave in the middle of the night"
It's written in a way that really feels like a genuine reaction someone might have to a tragedy happening at their work place and how they might communicate with coworkers afterwards
Because everyone memes on the franchise it’s really easy to forget just how well these games set the tone

I thought phone guy was fritz smith- he said during night 6 that he would take over the night shift from that point on
@@madsahren2208 If he was, why would he get fired even when he's been in the company for long for one day, then come back? Honestly, it makes more sense for Michael to be Fritz.
