- Arcane season 2 is so good and there have been so many amazing moments that have absolutely blown me away. But one scene in particular really felt much more potent than the others. In this video we'll be going over that scene, and the unifying front that connects every character in the story.

Can't think of anything else to say but that stories that focus on human themes are always such a treat. Arcane being foremost among them. A good analysis.
it was yes... before but for me its a problem when last 2 epsidoes of the show go soooo off the rails...yes its true that 90% of it was amazing but I cant ignore dumb writing mistakes and overall just lazy writing in many parts of the ending...I understand that writers had in mind how the characters stories should end and its all good but its just the way they got there was bad....like Jinxs sacrifice, I totally agree that it should have happened but the way it happened didnt make sense...you could just feel that writers didnt know how to make it work so they just made the laziest thing up....1 episode ago Vi was gladly running from Warwick and understood that Vander is gone.... now she suddenly has a mental breakdown...it just felt like Jinxs sacrifice could have been avoided so easily if Vi just acted smarter and that bothered me , I also didnt like the way Vi handled her sisters s***ide attempt...cause I have been in similar situation as a bigger sister and sry but f***ing my lover isnt even on my mind when stuff like this happens, it also felt like pure fanservice " oh so we have 40 min until the end and we need to put that s*x scene with 2 hot chicks there that everybody wanted ...doesnt matter if it makes sense or not and the black rose stuff was the thing that made me most upset cause if you are not a league fan only arcane fan then you still dont know what was even up with that....
@@HK-gm8peYeah, honestly I feel the characters’ done most dirty were Vi, Ambessa, and Vander/Warwick in the final act.
@@bush3126 Ambessa literally fullfilled the role perfectly that Vi tried to do her whole life. Took me some time as well but Ambessa evolved despite her old age, yes she was flustered because intense scheming is not her strength, but she did it for her daughter. She sacrificed herself to be an obstacle that Mel can overcome, while releaving Mel from the burden of being her daughter.
Vi is a dog that should be gunned down in the streets.
Vander has always been a wolf, even before Singed changed him. Do you know of the wolf that eat charcoal to sound like nice normal human. You will realize that Vander was not the great guy we are suggested to believe. We see him mostly through the rose tainted glasses of his daughters.

Love the analysis, great video: You're dead wrong about Viktor: From scene one he's a character who's worked in the shadows, not the light. His own achievement is the farthest thing from his mind: He's the head of the city's assistant, not a scientist on his own journey of self aggrandizement like Jayce.
He's disgusted by Rio's fate - he wanted to help her, but wasn't willing to see her suffer in order for her to live. It's only when he was about to die he came to the understanding Singe tried to impart on his all those years ago.
- He doesn't go out with Jayce on stage, despite being the actual brains behind Hextech
- He doesn't go against Heimerdinger when he says their inventions need more time.
- He specifically states when Mel asks the to build weapons, "We invented Hextech to save lives not take them"
HIs ambition is the last thing on his plate: He doesn't help the lanes for accomplishment but because it's the right thing to do with the power he's accidentally attained. It's his drive to end suffering that leads him astray, not his ambition. So when you use him saying "achieved" in order to relate that to self aggrandizement, it grates on my nerves because its absolutely wrong.
Again, great video, just bad Viktor analysis.
Highly disagree with this take but I understand where you’re coming from. Greatness and achievement does not equal public adoration. I only mentioned it because that’s what he HIMSELF talks to Jayce about. “Come see all I have accomplished.” I actually think his desire for greatness isn’t hinging on outside adoration, but since this isn’t about Viktor and more about Arcane as a whole, I didn’t dive into it. When Sky is leaving in the astral forms, notice that Viktor cares LESS about her, and more about achievement.
He has changed in his pursuit of greatness, and his desire to help people has become a very prideful and self-serving kind.
In his pursuit of great, he failed to do good.
His original motivations with he hexcore? Taking shimmer? Furthers HIS goals. Cures HIS body first. I’m sure he did/maybe even does care about other people, but he’s a man fighting for HIS life. I think that makes the natural progression to obsession over evolution itself, rather than preserving individual people’s humanity.

His sole goal was to help the undercity, not himself - when we first meet Viktor, he's not looking for a cure to his ailment, he's accepted it as a part of who he is - it's only when his life is nearing its end he starts using Hextech in a desperate hunt for a cure - the same as most of us, we're not all hoping for death to come and claim us to relieve us from this mortal form.
He's not pleased Jayce saved his life using the hexcore, and from there then proceeds to help the undercity.
Even prior to this, Jayce is looking for his own self aggrandizement and personal gain while Viktor uses his position to give other people from the Undercity, like Sky and his fellow researchers a leg up in order to make proper use of their talents.
It's never about him, you've got it backwards. He doesn't help Jayce to help himself, he helps Jayce because he sees someone with a dream. It's Jayce who calls him his partner and says it's "Our Hextech dream". Viktor doesn't try to insert himself into Jayce's project until after Heimidinger emphatically says he won't help stabilize Jayce prototype.
When using his powers to heal Vander, he says "He's worth the risk" - it's Sky who advises him that it will take a lot out of Viktor, who again, has nothing to gain from helping the Undercity.
I'm sorry but you're wrong, all the evidence is against you, from the character's actions to Viktor himself sending Jayce back to stop his folly and from hurting everyone.

Well said. There is much more though. Viktor and Jinx are both prophets, where Viktor is Christianity taking your sins away and leading to a peaceful but soulless society. Jinx is a modern day Rockstar, where fans can be fanatics as well, see Swifties. She inspires people with beauty, art and her actions. They can feel her and know she does not seek people sheering for her, but someone who touches her as she touched them. They dont feel like Jinx is a higher being in opposite to Viktor, they feel like Jinx is a part of them.
I have not seen any Rockstars commiting terrorist attacks yet, but if you see one you know the reason will be Arcane :D
