I'm still rocking my Mini 2, (4k version). I'm always like, I need to upgrade. But whenever I fly I'm like, nah I'm good, this drone is a beast. Fly's so well and the footage is amazing. The Mini 4 Pro is really nice, very tempting.
What you may like…. 360 degrees of obstacle avoidance. It’s amazing DJI did this with the mini… As awesome of a step the mini 2 was for us. This bird is a whole new game. Love your mini 2 it was what got us to the mini 4
@@DadRandom im at over 1200 hours on my mini 2, never flown into anything. Obstical avoidance is nice, but not needed if you're competent. It's like paying more for insurance.
I just ordered my Mini 4 Pro with RC 2 Controller yesterday, it already shipped. I bought my Mini 3 Pro with RC Controller in March of this year. I have 3 plus batteries & 2 regular batteries for my Mini 3 Pro. I was going to buy the AIR 3, but my AIR 2S is still great, I upgraded my AIR 2S with the RC Controller. I already had so many batteries for the Mini 3 Pro, that buying the Mini 4 Pro was a no brainier. Hopefully DJI will update the M4P to work with the Integra goggles, and Motion 2 Controller, like they did with the AIR 3 and Mini 3 Pro.

Loved your video and the beautiful landscape. I had never seen anyone attaching a strobe light to the drone. This is a very good way to not loose sight of the drone. Can you recommend what model of strobe light you are using on your drones? Thanks and happy flying.
wow this video really chilled me out and really looking forward to getting my mini 4 but didn't get that one with the new controller I got the cheaper I got choked off buy the DJI nc1 controller on the Mini 3 didn't think it was very good may have made a mistake and should have got the new one let's see love this video you done brilliant
I think that you started your return before you needed. If that was due to low signal level, did you make sure to turn off any wireless/cellular devices nearby? I've managed to fly my Mini 3 Pro for >25K feet, along an ocean beach w/ very little to no infrastructure nearby, & the Auto RTH kicked in, & not sure whether that was due to low signal strength or low battery; maybe those low levels coincided.

DJI is not stupid, I'm sure it was intentional to put smaller propellers on the mini 2, to cause more rotation to have the same support, I bet that using the same propellers as the 4/3 on the mini 2/1 the flight time will increase, Of course it will be necessary to adapt it to fit it, but that's the least of it, Thank you"!
The video quality seems to get fragmented every 10 seconds approximately, is that just what I can expect from this drone? Are these edits? It’s almost as if there’s two images overlaid that are off-center of each other if that makes sense. - anyway, I was hoping you could address that, I’m not sure if it’s in the original footage from the drone or if it’s something else, if this is all I can expect from the drone it may not be satisfactory to have fragmented video every 10 seconds
I will watch closely. It’s such a new device. I will experiment with SD cards and try recording in 4k 60 the transmission was interfered with when I was recording the screen in one place. The video from the drone seems good. That skip was transmission loss and signal drop. Not a camera issue.
Location, location, location. I think that is a big factor in range for sure. Couldn't get anywhere near that distance with my Mini 4 Pro in the rural area. I fly in unless I had rising terrain and hills where I could raise my altitude to almost 1000 feet. I am sure that would help me out. Thanks for sharing.
I dunno, Mikey got 3.66 miles in Philly. So 7.32 miles round trip on standard battery he wasted 11% on before he flew. It was a nice video, even saw a hawk on a down check during return trip.
Yes, elevated areas where you get slow inclines of over 1000 feet are pretty much all our terrain is. Flat farmland would eventually block a signal in areas of dense trees.
@@DadRandomI've only managed a couple of flights with mine since getting it last week due to the bad weather here in the UK. One flight was on a nice sunny day with near clear blue skies the other on a grey overcast day, both with no ND filters. The one thing that really struck me was how well the camera handled the skies compared to my 3, they didn't get blown out to almost white and ground was still well exposed with plenty of detail, it's left me wondering do I really need any ND filters for it, although I'm sure I will come across a situation at some point where I do. But given what I've seen so far I'm not in any rush to buy them, your video looked nicely balanced too and I wondered what where your thoughts.
You're in the middle of nowhere with minimal Interference. I have no doubt that the mini 3 pro could do about the same. Less interference gets you better distance with better radio control.
I flew the mini 3 for range and it has some limitations with the receiver being smaller as well as antenna. I used the DJI RC with the Mavic 3 Pro with very different results.
I would love to see somebody to challenge the 20 km mark and have somebody at the other end and see how close to the 20 km you can actually get so far all I’m seeing is a few kilometres from everybody,
The 20Km statement is illustrating total flight time. To and Fro. 21000 ft equals about 6 1/2 Kilometers. So he was able to travel about 13 km with 38 % battery to spare in imperfect conditions. Not too bad for a CE device. I think that 20Km statement is true
Dustin Dunhall does the best DJI extreme Range tests I've ever seen. Mini 3 Pro range test with plus battery went 6.7 miles out one way & almost 13 miles round trip. AIR 3 range test was 7.9 miles out & 16 miles round trip, still had 6% battery left

@woodsmic the only thing I fly into are tree branches and cable lines. Obstacle avoidance wouldn't avoid that would it?
It would be good to go to the mini 3 or 4 at this time. The camera is a huge upgrade. Maybe even the rc or rc 2.

I like the N1 or N2 controller with a tablet. They both get great range.

If you go into RTH in an emergency. You will not have dynamic RTH coming home

Noticed that too in a number of places, I certainly don't get it with my mini 4.
I bought my last 2 weeks just few fly around my house, I didn't have any place to fly that far from city..😂😂.. mini 4 was the best small drone ..
Ditch the obst av, ditch some batt weight all in favour of 1inch sensor . If you can get 20mins realworld in the air and NO GEOFENCING UNDER 250G

How did you go over 120 m I thought they said the mini 4 cannot go above 120 m ?

Only do realistic tests so people have accuracy in the drones capabilities.
