oh i have one hell of a camping story. so, im at a highschool game night, wandering around to see what everyone has, and i decide to play halo with some guys. i wander onto the scehne and find a tank, parked perfectly norally, and get in. normally, i would then ride off into battle, yeling heroically as i gunned down any who crossed my path. instead.... i sat in it. i moved the barel to shoot enemies out od the sky or off the ground, like shooting a water pistol at a fly. and then i would casually moe the gun abck to normal, making it look like it never moved at all. it was glorious. had to fend y own team off a few ties because they started shooting at me hwhen i reealed myself, but it was glorious.
When it's me and my Bro-inlaw I'm the one doing the carrying, I come up with pretty decent strategy to take down whatever it is we're doing but no he flies in like a blind tank with rocket tourettes 😄 Nevermind! I'll just talk to myself 😄
I've had to be carried a few times in Destiny 2 because I just wasn't high enough level to get through it myself. I try to be helpful by reviving my teammates and lobbing nades just so I can say I did something to earn the loot at the end.
The one time I won a solo fortnite, I also ran the hiding game, so well in fact that the other person ended up killing themselves with a rocket launcher in their attempts to flush me out. A true pacifist victory!
I also had a victory tactic that luckily paid off i grabbed a shotgun handgun and assualt rifle and immediely kept to the center of the circle and hiding in a big enough bush where if i positioned myself correctly my head wouldnt pop out and switched the weapon to the pistol since it was less bulky kept doing this till it was only me and 6 other people i was in a bush. And some1 built a fort super close to my bush then they were being fired at those bullets came so close to hitting me it wasnt even funny but i refused to move and when it was just me and the last guy who was behind a wall i snuck up on him and gave him a shotgun to the face.
They were on top of a hill, while I was on the side of the hill under some cover someone else built. I think they caught on to me and tried to blow it up, but got too close or misfired it or something.

Yup, I confident enough in myself to even play on easy when the game tries to shame you into playing on a harder difficulty. I will admit I played Wolfenstein with baby bonnet and pacifier and I think I enjoyed it better than if I were to have played normal or hard. I just want to relax and escape reality for a while, not add more stress to my life by trying to gain bragging rights.
Ahh yes, I remember the one time I beat a dark souls boss, it was the Taurus Demon, it tripped off the side of the bridge whilst attacking me and fell to it's death! "Fair's fair" I thought and moved on :)
I like both sides, I love the adrenaline of tense MP or difficult single player but I also like the relaxation part of things. Strangely Dark souls does both for me.
I fully agree on this. I also play for the story and the relaxation. However, after I beat it on easy I almost always turn it up to hard, as I am now familiar with the game-mechanics and know how certain enemies behave. So I guess I´m both?

Heres a fun story In Fortnite I went on solos, and I hid in a bush, but then tea was ready. I didnt want to leave as I had good gear, so I left the game running and went downstairs, when I came back, there was two players left in the whole game, me and someone else on stupidly low health, I walked out the bush and a couple of rounds from a grey pistol finished him off, luckiest fortnite win I ever got

My first run through on most RPG's is on easy mode. I'm trying to learn the moves learn the story, bosses and potentially even get a handle on tricky fights. Eventually, I turn things up to normal but rarely do I go beyond that because, as pointed out by others at the end of the day I play, especially single-player games, to relax.
@@olgierdvoneverec4135 that's truth, as a sniper your goal is to be as humanly invisible as possible. 2 shots and move quickly but discreetly, any more than 2 and opponents will have more than enough info to hunt you down and potentially get the countersnipe or flank.
@@olgierdvoneverec4135 yeah, even in games your position becomes compromised after a few shots. Then you have to move to another position and wait for your chance again. I still consider it camping if you take a few shots then move and wait again. Sniping is a waiting game, they get a bad wrap.
I fully agree, As long as it doesn't exploit a glitch. Campers used to use glitches so that they could not be hit, but could hit you. The whole point of a sniper rifle is that you pick your targets carefully. The best counter to campers is the riot shield and throwing knife combo. Killed many a camper with those. The shield draws them out, they either try to stab you or empty a secondary weapon ammo clip at you, when they back off to reload, simply throw the knife for insta-kill! They also throw stupidly far and are easy to aim. A totally OP weapon.
Yeah, Battle Royale is a risky slope, once you start you never stop, I for one don't play any Battle Royales. I have tried a few but it's not for me, I'm a Single Player RPG guy. :)

I’ve actually had the opposite to the last one done to me. I’d go to the bathroom while leaving Skyrim paused before a big boss fight. So my brother walks in, takes a look, and turns it up to expert difficulty while I’m gone.
I think it's because with button mashing you have zero idea of what you are doing and none of the attacks are skillful. At least with OP projectiles you know that they are exploitative and OP.
My girlfriend and I actually just had our first win in Apex last night. We were hiding in a house in the ring and it kept closing, eventually we realized the last other team was under the house and as they came through the door we unloaded on the single pathfinder with no ammo that had also been hiding all game. Clearly a well-deserved win.
Witcher 2: Just started and was getting wrecked by rage zombie things. I didn't get the whole "use oils and drink potions to prepare" thing. So I turned it to easy and wrecked them :P

Witcher 2 for me was so hard that I did the same thing as you did.. "let's just do it on easy!" The first Witcher I did on normal (Crying a lot at the last chapter bosses xD) and Witcher 3 on Death March (I wanted the platinum trophy and that game isn't so hard)
Hmmm, 1. Don't think I've done it, only from not playing many shooters. 2. I think I've run down a clock before, I just don't remember when. 3. I button mash all the time. If I actually win against a competitive player doing that it just means they suck. 4. I love finding clever ways to beat bosses. Play smarter, not harder. 5. Sniping FTW! 6. Not just in online play, but in co-op. It's the only way I get through any Left for Dead level. 7. I take no shame in admitting a game was too hard for me. I had to remove the bonuses in Dragon Quest 11 because it was making bosses too difficult.
Yeah, I was close to throwing a controller and it was the last thing for the Platinum. So it was a choice between perseverance and pride or taking the easy route. I took the easier Platinum.
Nier automata's hard difficulty wrecked me. I tried to get to the first safe place to save for 8 and a half hours before I finally decided to drop the difficulty down. I'll never forget that, I felt so defeated, but then normal was a walk in the park, so much so I played the rest only using android bare fists.

Yeah im pretty sure most ppl do a version of this unless they are purposely trying to over challenge themselves. The strategy guide made in conjunction with FROM even advises you to do the drop attack.
Until this day I thought the proper way to beat Taurus Demon was to climb the ladder, downward stab, and repeat. I assumed the game was designed that way since they teach you to do this with the Asylum Demon. I also did it to the Capra Demon by using the stairs.
Yakuza is a fun game, but thanks to consumables, Hard is easy. Mass Effect 1's endgame is also very easy on Veteran. As an Engineer for my first run, I just exploded things until Saren died. (I also Paragoned Saren to death)
If there is no reward for playing on harder difficulties like extra exp/cash/trophy/ending , then playing on easy is the best choice as most players have a huge backlog of unplayed games and want to play the others asap.
Claymore+c4 combo is what i used. Good ol' OMA. If i was feeling really cheap I'd even slap on a noobtube. I only camped to troll or beat people using rangers though. Otherwise I just went from spot to spot soundwhoring around the objective. Never camped on offensive though.
2:56 I never felt so represented in a video. Tactical Espionage Action (not camping) is so engraved in my veins I can't run and gun in multiplayer games like 90% of other people.
Camping only upsets me when it's spawn camping. If my movement is predictable, fine. If I get headshot the moment I finish waiting 15 seconds to get back in the game, I'm gonna be a bit upset. I feel like that's an old issue though. I wish Tales of the Abyss let me turn down the difficulty. I've been stuck on that final boss for years. No way to leave the last dungeon and no saves to turn to, just me cheesing through the fight until he pulls never-miss megamoves three times in a row. I just want to see how it ends.
This is how I felt with final fantasy x with defender x spamming his instakill and by the time I learned you need to use provoke I had lost my memory card

Agreed, honestly. Everyone makes an enemy out of the sniper because they're doing their job, and really the best way you can thwart a camper? Ambush with numbers. It's not that hard, guys. I remember camping for my little brother as a kid because I was skilled enough at watching my back and providing covering fire for him, and we had a lot of fun that way.

I blame the other player for not checking their corners. There’s a reason I don’t get killed by campers. MAYBE it’s because I actually check my corners, peek, and throw stuns around corners to check for players. It’s really not hard.
I enjoyed this video very much. I live Rob's honesty. I tried to play Resident Evil 3 Nemesis for the first time when I was around 12 and, as you may guess, Nemesis had a feast with me. After trying several times I gave up and played on easy mode. I finished the game on hard mode but it was long time after that. I have to confess MGS 3 snake eater was too much for me on medium the first time I tried as well.
I'm a camper in shooting games, not messed up about it either...the enemy knows where I'm at, if they are foolish enough to keep walking out in front of me, or not smart enough to find a better angle to get me then they get what they deserve

I once got invaded in Dark Souls 3. So I popped a camouflage and turned into a prop of the level to hide. 20 mins later, he was still there, so I popped a Seed of Giant Tree to make all remaining mobs hostile to invaders. Lo and behold, a minute later he ded.

I go all out defence from the very start with five at the back, full-backs joining my impenetrable wall, two defensive midfielders and two of my forwards ready to receive a clearance at all times. I totally agree with you Rob...it's not cheesing a boss, it's STRATEGY. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Also, I love using Phoenix Downs on zombie mobs in Final Fantasy. FFX--that giant dragon zombie boss. Easy peasy.
evrae, the underwater fight. actually didn't work out the phoenix down trick was still viable on it until after i'd already beaten it, where I then read about it online.

In Fortnite I went on solos, and I hid in a bush, but then tea was ready. I didnt want to leave as I had good gear, so I left the game running and went downstairs, when I came back, there was two players left in the whole game, me and someone else on stupidly low health, I walked out the bush and a couple of rounds from a grey pistol finished him off, luckiest fortnite win I ever got
They wanted a fair fight, but I suppose that wasn't your cup of tea. ;)

My first run through on most RPG's is on easy mode. I'm trying to learn the moves learn the story, bosses and potentially even get a handle on tricky fights. Eventually, I turn things up to normal but rarely do I go beyond that because, as pointed out by others at the end of the day I play, especially single-player games, to relax.
Camping for awhile as a sniper is just good tactics for a sniper, then you switch to another advantageous position and do it again.
I once heard true snipers don't take more than 2 shots from a single point
@@olgierdvoneverec4135 that's truth, as a sniper your goal is to be as humanly invisible as possible. 2 shots and move quickly but discreetly, any more than 2 and opponents will have more than enough info to hunt you down and potentially get the countersnipe or flank.
@@olgierdvoneverec4135 yeah, even in games your position becomes compromised after a few shots. Then you have to move to another position and wait for your chance again. I still consider it camping if you take a few shots then move and wait again. Sniping is a waiting game, they get a bad wrap.
I fully agree, As long as it doesn't exploit a glitch. Campers used to use glitches so that they could not be hit, but could hit you.
The whole point of a sniper rifle is that you pick your targets carefully.
The best counter to campers is the riot shield and throwing knife combo. Killed many a camper with those. The shield draws them out, they either try to stab you or empty a secondary weapon ammo clip at you, when they back off to reload, simply throw the knife for insta-kill! They also throw stupidly far and are easy to aim. A totally OP weapon.
The only winning move is to not play. Therefore, I won every Apex game.
Yeah, Battle Royale is a risky slope, once you start you never stop, I for one don't play any Battle Royales. I have tried a few but it's not for me, I'm a Single Player RPG guy. :)

I’ve actually had the opposite to the last one done to me. I’d go to the bathroom while leaving Skyrim paused before a big boss fight. So my brother walks in, takes a look, and turns it up to expert difficulty while I’m gone.

I think it's because with button mashing you have zero idea of what you are doing and none of the attacks are skillful. At least with OP projectiles you know that they are exploitative and OP.

My girlfriend and I actually just had our first win in Apex last night. We were hiding in a house in the ring and it kept closing, eventually we realized the last other team was under the house and as they came through the door we unloaded on the single pathfinder with no ammo that had also been hiding all game. Clearly a well-deserved win.

Witcher 2: Just started and was getting wrecked by rage zombie things. I didn't get the whole "use oils and drink potions to prepare" thing. So I turned it to easy and wrecked them :P

I have this obsession with playing all games on the hardest difficulty, so when it comes to the Witcher games where im too lazy to prepare, i just run around with quen and throwing igni when available

The first Witcher I did on normal (Crying a lot at the last chapter bosses xD) and Witcher 3 on Death March (I wanted the platinum trophy and that game isn't so hard)

1. Don't think I've done it, only from not playing many shooters.
2. I think I've run down a clock before, I just don't remember when.
3. I button mash all the time. If I actually win against a competitive player doing that it just means they suck.
4. I love finding clever ways to beat bosses. Play smarter, not harder.

6. Not just in online play, but in co-op. It's the only way I get through any Left for Dead level.
7. I take no shame in admitting a game was too hard for me. I had to remove the bonuses in Dragon Quest 11 because it was making bosses too difficult.

God of war, turned it down to easy for the final valkyrie.... even then I must have died 50 times before defeating her.
Yeah, I was close to throwing a controller and it was the last thing for the Platinum. So it was a choice between perseverance and pride or taking the easy route. I took the easier Platinum.
Turned it to easy, died a bunch of times, then realized I was wearing the wrong armor.

Nier automata's hard difficulty wrecked me. I tried to get to the first safe place to save for 8 and a half hours before I finally decided to drop the difficulty down. I'll never forget that, I felt so defeated, but then normal was a walk in the park, so much so I played the rest only using android bare fists.
The difficulty system in that game is screwed as all heck. I keep meaning to play through it again on hard mode, but I'm afraid of the prologue.
@@sonyafirefly3879 same. I found normal really easy for the most part and I still don't feel ready to try and tackle that opening again. That overwhelming defeat may have cut me too deep and may be adding to my fear as well.
The Prologue kept me from playing the game on hard.
I never expected a game made by Platinum Games to have a manual save system.
I put Doom on Insane Difficulty once for 5 minutes, changed it and never even thought bout doing that again

I did that with Taurus Demon, only I did dive attacks, not fire bombs.
Yeah im pretty sure most ppl do a version of this unless they are purposely trying to over challenge themselves. The strategy guide made in conjunction with FROM even advises you to do the drop attack.
I'm pretty sure plunging attack is the intended strategy. The real cheese is that you can make Taurus Demon jump backwards off the bridge.

Until this day I thought the proper way to beat Taurus Demon was to climb the ladder, downward stab, and repeat. I assumed the game was designed that way since they teach you to do this with the Asylum Demon. I also did it to the Capra Demon by using the stairs.

Mass Effect 1's endgame is also very easy on Veteran. As an Engineer for my first run, I just exploded things until Saren died. (I also Paragoned Saren to death)

If there is no reward for playing on harder difficulties like extra exp/cash/trophy/ending , then playing on easy is the best choice as most players have a huge backlog of unplayed games and want to play the others asap.

MW2 I camped with claymores and a heartbeat sensor. lol
Claymore+c4 combo is what i used. Good ol' OMA. If i was feeling really cheap I'd even slap on a noobtube. I only camped to troll or beat people using rangers though. Otherwise I just went from spot to spot soundwhoring around the objective. Never camped on offensive though.
I have no issue with camping, BUT if you're spawn camping, you are the worst of the worst!

I never felt so represented in a video. Tactical Espionage Action (not camping) is so engraved in my veins I can't run and gun in multiplayer games like 90% of other people.
Camping only upsets me when it's spawn camping. If my movement is predictable, fine. If I get headshot the moment I finish waiting 15 seconds to get back in the game, I'm gonna be a bit upset. I feel like that's an old issue though.
I wish Tales of the Abyss let me turn down the difficulty. I've been stuck on that final boss for years. No way to leave the last dungeon and no saves to turn to, just me cheesing through the fight until he pulls never-miss megamoves three times in a row. I just want to see how it ends.

I lowered the difficulty of the game twice:
To defeat sigrun in god of war
To kill a dragon in dragon age inquisition
Sigrun wasn't really that bad man. You can do it!

Agreed, honestly. Everyone makes an enemy out of the sniper because they're doing their job, and really the best way you can thwart a camper? Ambush with numbers. It's not that hard, guys. I remember camping for my little brother as a kid because I was skilled enough at watching my back and providing covering fire for him, and we had a lot of fun that way.

I blame the other player for not checking their corners. There’s a reason I don’t get killed by campers. MAYBE it’s because I actually check my corners, peek, and throw stuns around corners to check for players. It’s really not hard.
I enjoyed this video very much. I live Rob's honesty. I tried to play Resident Evil 3 Nemesis for the first time when I was around 12 and, as you may guess, Nemesis had a feast with me. After trying several times I gave up and played on easy mode. I finished the game on hard mode but it was long time after that. I have to confess MGS 3 snake eater was too much for me on medium the first time I tried as well.

I'm a camper in shooting games, not messed up about it either...the enemy knows where I'm at, if they are foolish enough to keep walking out in front of me, or not smart enough to find a better angle to get me then they get what they deserve
I only camp in BRs mainly cause I get lit up otherwise. I've never been skilled enough with a sniper to camp in things like call of duty

@@AJ6spd well after losing out on the trophy for beating the game on Normal I decided to just play the game on Easy the rest of the way. I remember in God of War 2018 I ended up annoyed at how many enemies there where and that's what made me change the difficulty lol

I once got invaded in Dark Souls 3. So I popped a camouflage and turned into a prop of the level to hide. 20 mins later, he was still there, so I popped a Seed of Giant Tree to make all remaining mobs hostile to invaders. Lo and behold, a minute later he ded.

The End was by far the BEST boss fight in any metal gear. Sitting in the grass, pointing your directional microphone at his favourite camp spots, sneaking up on him, SO GoOOOOOD

During your intro I immediately thought of my FIFA Online play-style. I go beyond time-wasting at the end of the match, however. I go all out defence from the very start with five at the back, full-backs joining my impenetrable wall, two defensive midfielders and two of my forwards ready to receive a clearance at all times.

I always play games on the easiest settings because real life is stressfull enough, the last thing i want is not to relax with a game. A game is ment to be fun and a way to unwind from a rough day at work.
